This research is an ex post facto using quantitative correlation method. The population of this research is all XII grade students of in office automation and governance expertise, with a total of 64 students. We selected 30 students as the sample using proportionate random sampling technique. The dependent variable in this study is work readiness (Y) while the independent variables include the performance of internship (X1) and work motivation (X2). Data collection methods are questionnaires and documentation. The method of data analysis uses descriptive statistics, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was an influence on the performance of internship and work motivation both individually and simultaneously on the work readiness of students of SMK Negeri 1 Bantul.

Abstract

This purpose of this study is to empirically examine the relationship between resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence with employability. The researcher used class XI and XII students of private vocational schools in Kutawaluya as research subjects. The criteria that researchers set are students who have completed the industrial work practice program. The research sample consisted of 78 students of class XI and XII Business and Motorcycle Engineering, XI and XII Office Automation and Governance. Researchers obtained it by means of cluster random sampling technique. The measurement instrument that the researcher uses is the Likert model scale (employability scale, resilience scale, self-esteem scale, self-confidence scale) which the researcher compiled himself. The data analysis that the researcher uses is multiple linear regression with the SPSS V26 program. The results of the analysis show that simultaneously there is a very significant relationship between resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence with employability (R = 0.884 and Sig. = 0.000). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the variables of resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence can be predictors of high and low employability , so that the higher the resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence of students, the higher the level of employability they have.

Abstract

The research was conducted aimed at knowing the effectiveness of the double track program model applied to secondary school education in Cilacap Regency. The dual track program model in question is a learning model that provides facilitation to high school students who will continue to college and also students who will look for work after graduating from school. This research was based on the number of high school graduates who do not go to college. There were 70% of students in the place of a study carried out students prefer to find work rather than continuing to college. This study uses the research and development (R & D) method developed by Borg & Gall and modified by Nana Syaodih Sukmadinata (2011), which consists of preliminary, development and testing stages. This research was conducted at Adipala 1 Public High School, Cilacap Regency. Study at the research stage is the initial condition of research where the school has implemented vocational skills learning, then continued with the development stage by providing soft skills training. Furthermore, this research was carried out by testing the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method by a team of experts from educational practitioners with respondents from several school principals, and the teacher in charge of the program. The results of research and development found that according to the perceptions and opinions of education experts who are members of the focus group discussion (FGD) showed that the dual track program provides maximum service to students on two choices after graduating from school whether they want to go to college or seek employment. The dual track program also provides increased student competency in vocational skills learning and soft skills competencies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a combination of problem-based learning and group investigation (PBL Go-In) methods on the competence of the Motorcycle Engineering and Business Program students. This study is an experimental implementation method using quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The results of the study obtained the application of the PBL Go-In model consisting of 7 stages, namely, presentation of problem situations, investigation and exploration, formulation of tasks, learning activities, analysis of progress, presentation, and assessment. The results of the analysis suggest that there are differences in the level of competency of students before and after the PBL Go-In method is implemented. The percentage of students passing minimum grade of 75 before treatment was 8.7%, and after treatment became 82.6%. Thus, it can be said that PBL Go-In learning model is potential to improve the students competence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what vocational skills education was implemented in SMP Muhammadiyah Majenang, a private junior high school in Cilacap, Central Java, and to find out how to develop vocational skills education to foster the students entrepreneurial intention. It is expected that this vocational skill can foster entrepreneurial intention to the students themselves early, to make them the young entrepreneurs. This research was a research and development with a qualitative approach. Research and development were modified from the ten steps of Borg and Gall, consisting of three stages, namely: preliminary study, model development, and model testing. Participants involved included the principal, representative of the curriculum deputy, teachers, advisers, and students. The data collection techniques used questionnaires, observation, interviews, and document studies. The results of the study found the existence of extracurricular activities in the form of self-development game activities. Self-development game is indicated by the achievement in certain fields. The results of the development found that the existence of agricultural extracurricular activities in the form of chili cultivation could foster the students entrepreneurial intentions. We found that the positive attitudes and abilities of entrepreneurship were possessed by students, including selling chili crops and chili seeds to the general public. The program for developing extracurricular activities also produces vocational skills in the form of students who independently plant seeds other than chili and inspire students to sell other seeds.

Abstract

Parenting is classified into several types, one of which is authoritarian parenting. Verbal hostility, corporal punishment, nonreasoning / punitive strategies, and directiveness are characteristics of this parenting style. The construct validity and construct reliability of the authoritarian parenting scale, as well as the characteristics and indicators that reflect authoritarian parenting, are being investigated. This study included all students in class VIII at Yogyakarta’s state junior high schools X, Y, and Z, which totaled 524 students. This study’s sample size was 185 students. The sampling technique employs cluster random sampling. Data is gathered using an authoritarian parenting scale. The research instruments are distributed directly to the subject. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the research data in the SmartPLS 3.2.8 program. The data analysis results of this study show that the characteristics and indicators that reflect authoritarian parenting are valid and reliable. The most dominant aspect that reflects authoritarian parenting is corporal punishment, while directiveness is the weakest aspect that reflects authoritarian parenting. As a result, because the theory describing the construct of authoritarian parenting corresponds to empirical data obtained from the subject, the measurement model can be accepted.
