Abstract

Molecular Biology Analisis Techniques (TABM) is one of the courses that discusses the basic techniques needed for molecular biology. Learning in TABM, is more emphasis on procedural, so the process by using books alone is not enough. Therefore, to support the TABM learning process, interactive were developed consisting of text, sound, images, and research videos. This type of research is R & D is a research and development design by modifying the systematics of Kemp and Dayton. The development steps are to determine the specific learning objectives of the product; prepare material and video content; creating storyboard, developing, editing, and mxing; testing and revising. The instruments used are validation sheets and questionnaires for students with qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Based on the result, there are several suggestions and inputs including: design, instructions for use, product packaging, introduction of tools and initial materials, and procedures. While quantitatively it can be seen that the developed interactive media doesn’t need to be revised and is suitable for use, namely 92,1% of field experts and 70,2% of media experts. It can be concluded that the development of interactive media can be used ini procedural courses such as molecular biological analysis techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of kenikir leaf extract (Cosmos caudatus) on the mortality of Grayak Caterpillars (Spodoptera litura). This type of research is a laboratory experiment, with the design used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and five replications. The treatments were P0 + as a control, P1 with a concentration of 25%, P2 with a concentration of 50%, P3 with a concentration of 75%, and P4 with a concentration of 100%. Data analysis techniques with steps: normality test, homogeneity test and one way anova test. Research Results, based on the One Way Anava calculation, it was obtained that Fcount = 11.40 with Ftable = 4.43. then it can be stated that the value of Fcount> F table then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In the BNJ (Honest Significant Difference) test, the significance level of 1% of the effect of kenikir leaf extract on treatment A 25% (P1) was not significantly different from the concentration of 50% (P2) and 75% (P3), and at treatment D 100% (P4 ) is not significantly different from ACD, the treatment E (P0 +) is very significantly different from ABDE. Conclusion, there is a very significant effect of kenikir leaf extract (Cosmos caudatus) on mortality of armyworm caterpillar (Spodoptera litura), the higher the concentration of insecticide given, the higher mortality of armyworm caterpillar.

Abstract

Serai Wangi is one of the plants that is being developed by the Lubuklinggau City Government and is processed into a variety of products, such as bags, soap, and perfume. Processed products from fragrant Serai Wangi cause environmental byproducts in the form of Serai Wangi liquid waste. This waste if not treated properly will cause problems for the environment, such as unpleasant odors. Therefore, to minimize the emergence of environmental problems, the Serai Wangi waste is processed into carbolic acid which is more beneficial to the community and becomes one of the other sources of income for the people in the district. So, the existence of the Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Programme (PKM) that we propose is expected to help the manager of the Serai Wangi and the PKK driving team in the process of making, processing and packaging of Serai Wangi fragrant carbolic waste which has been a problem in the district. In addition, it can overcome pollution and environmental damage and improve the economy of the local district community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of self-regulated learning, new literacy and the relationship between the two in perspective biology teachers. The method used is qualitative. The research sample is Biology students, at PGRI Silampari University, totaling 74 people. The data collection instrument was in the form of a questionnaire consisting of self-regulated learning abilities and new literacy skills. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and the relationship between the two was analyzed using Rank Spearman analysis. The results showed that the ability of prospective biology teacher students in self-study regulation was categorized as good, new literacy was sufficient and the relationship between the two obtained a significance value of 0.00 (<0.05). In conclusion, there is a relationship between the ability to regulate self-study and the new literacy ability of prospective biology teachers. Abstract

Sukomoro Village is a village in the Rawas Ulu sub-district, North Musi Rawas Regency with fish fishermen as a livelihood. The abundance of fish is processed into products such as pedo fish. One of the pedo fish businesses in Sukomoro is Bu Susi's Pedo fish. In their daily life, the packaging and marketing carried out by this business is still manual, namely only with ordinary plastic and marketing is only at home, so that it is less well known by the wider community. Therefore, in this activity what is carried out is packaging and marketing management training. in Sukomoro village, especially Bu Susi's pedo fish business. The result of this activity is that the product packaging is better and Fish, marketing is carried out by placing it in a shop.

Abstract

Escherichia coli is a microscopic gram-negative bacteria that in the human digestive system and is one of the causes oof diarrheal disease. Treatment of dearrheal diseases usually uses chemical drugs. Chemical drugs are believed to have excessiive side effects. This can be replaced with a drug that has a low side effect in the from of traditional medicine. One plant that can be used as a medicine for diarrhea is rukam (Flacourtia rukam). Rukam (Flacourtia rukam) is a plant that has properties as an antibacterial drug. The compounds contained in rukam (Flacourtia rukam) include flavanoids, saponins, tannins, and alkaloids. The aim of this study was to determine the antibacterial strength of the extract of rukam (Flacourtia rukam) leaf starch againt the Escherichia coli inhibition zone. The results obtained that rukam (Flacourtia rukam) has a different inhibitory zone, from various concentrations of 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%. Concentration with the highest inhibition zone is a concentration of 10%.

Abstract

This study aims to Analyze the effect of time delay on processing of palm fruit from Elaeis guineensis Jacq to Crude Palm Oil (CPO) quality. Fresh fruit marks are chopped to separate with fruit marks in the form of brondolan, then separated between inside and outside fruit and then treated with processing delays 0 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours and 24 hours. Further processed by using Batch type palm oil processing tool. CPO is analyzed CPO quality which consist of free fatty acid test, water content test and dirt level test. From result of measurement and quality test show the effect of time delay of processing of palm fruit to increase free fatty acid especially at treatment delay for 24 hours on fruit palm inside. The result of comparison of CPO quality measurement (ALB level, moisture content and dirt level) is still far below SNI standard.

Abstract

Desa Payo Lebar merupakan desa yang terletak di Kabupaten Sarolangun Jambi Provinsi Jambi dimana salah satu mata pencaharian masyarakatnya adalah produksi Tempe. Proses produksi tempe memerlukan banyak air yang digunakan untuk perendaman, perebusan, pencucian, serta pengupasan kulit kedelai. Hasil akhir dari proses pengolahan tersebut berupa limbah yang menimbulkan bau tidak sedap sebagai hasil sampingan dari proses fermentasi limbah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan kepada masyarakat di Desa Payo Lebar untuk mengolah limbah tempe menjadi pupuk cair. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi, pemberian pengetahuan awal, dan tahap pemberian pelatihan kepada masayarakat tentang pengolahan limbah tempe menjadi pupuk cair. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diketahui bahwa masyarakat dapat mengolah limbah tempe menjadi pupuk cair yang dibuktikan dengan 97% masyarakat mengetahui alat dan bahan serta prosedur kerja untuk mengolahnya. Simpulan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pengolahan limbah yang baik dan benar akan menghasilkan produk yang berguna untuk kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

AbstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis lumut dan faktor abiotik di Kawasan Air Terjun Sungai Numan Kecamatan Padang Ulak Tanding Kabupaten Rejang Lebong. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi langsung dengan metode jelajah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 8 spesies lumut yaitu Marchantia polymorpha L., Dumortiera hirsuta, Riccia sorocarpa, Philonotis hastata, Phaeoceros leavis, Hyophila javanica, Jungermannia sp, dan Ectropothecium folciforme yang tergolong ke dalam 4 Kelas yaitu Marchantiopsida, Bryopsida, Anthocerotopsida, dan Jungermanniaopsida. Seluruhnya dari 6 Ordo yaitu Marchantiales, Bryales, Notothyladales, Pottiales, Jungermanniales, dan Hypnales,  8 Famili (Marchantiaceae, Dumortieraceae, Ricciaceae, Batramiaceae, Notothyladaceae, Pottiaceae, Jungermanniaceae, dan Hypnaceae), dan 8 Genus (Marchantia, Dumortiera, Riccia, Philonotis, Phaeoceros,  Hyophila, Jungermannia, dan Ectropothecium). Hasil pengukuran faktor abiotik, di bagian atas yaitu memiliki pH 4.5, suhu 31°C, dan kelembapan 40-60%, sedangkan bagian bawah memiliki pH 6.8, suhu 29°C, dan kelembapan 70-98%.

Abstract

Daun Kelor dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan makanan (pangan) fungsional. Pemanfaatan kelor sebagai bahan makanan hanya terbatas untuk diolah menjadi sayuran saja yang dapat membosankan bila terlalu sering dikonsumsi. hanya beberapa orang saja yang mau memanfaatkan tanaman Kelor sebagai bahan pangan fungsional. Warga masyarakat sebetulnya sudah memanfaatkan lahan kosong di lingkungan rumahnya masing-masing untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai tanaman sayuran melalui polybag, namun hanya untuk jenis tanaman tertentu saja, sementara tanaman Kelor belum menjadi perhatian dan hanya dianggap sebagai tanaman pagar yang kurang dimanfaatkan sebagai tanaman pangan. Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan puding cokelat lapis daun Kelor sebagai hidangan penutup (dessert) yang sehat ini untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan warga masyarakat sehingga tetap sehat, pendapatan keluarga bertambah, dan ekonomi masyarakat setempat akan meningkat, menjadikan warga masyarakat lebih sejahtera, terutama di masa sekarang dengan biaya kebutuhan hidup semakin meningkat tajam khususny RT 05 Kecamatan Kampung Melayu Kota Bengkulu. Sasaran peserta pelatihan yaitu warga masyarakat sebanyak 27 orang dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Peserta pelatihan telah mengalami peningkatan keterampilan secara bermakna yaitu dari 58,33 (keterampilan awal) menjadi 91,67 (keterampilan akhir). Hal ini terbukti dari kesungguhan warga masyarakat yang ditunjukkan dalam partisipasi yang sangat baik pada saat pelatihan
