Abstract

Perilaku oportunistik manajerial pada keputusan pendanaan perusahaan menimbulkan konflik antara manajemen dan pemegang saham maupun kreditur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui secara empiris pengaruh kepemilikan manajerial (hipotesis masalah keagenan) yang dipengaruhi oleh debt equity ratio dan dividend payout ratio yang akan mengurangi masalah keagenan. Penelitian dilakukan pada perusahaan manufaktur yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2008 sampai dengan 2011. Berdasarkan dua model regresi yang dipergunakan, diperoleh hasil bahwa kepemilikan manajerial berpengaruh positif terhadap debt equity ratio yang merupakan indikasi bahwa dengan peningkatan utang maka akan meningkatkan monitoring yang dilakukan kreditur terhadap perilaku manajerial. Selain itu ditemukan hasil yang tidak signifikan pengaruh kepemilikan manajerial terhadap dividend payout ratio yang merupakan indikasi inkonsisten dengan masalah keagenan. The managerial opportunistic behaviour on the financing activity decision can generate a conflict between the management and the stockholder or creditor as a consequence of the opportunity management behaviors. This research was conducted at manufacturing firms listed at Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2008 to 2011. In this research, two regression models were used. Management ownership is positively associated with debt equity ratio. It indicates that the increase of monitoring, done by creditors, due to the increasing amount of debt. However, there is not a significant relationship between management ownership and dividend payout ratio, it indicates that the finding is inconsistent with the agency conflict.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai kualitas pelayanan industri penerbangan menggunakan model ServQual dan menguji tingkat kepentingan kelima dimensi kualitas pelayanan. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 110 responden dari penerbangan domestik dan internasional untuk menilai gap kualitas pelayanan yang diharapkan dan yang diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat faktor yang diharapkankan konsumen adalah kelengkapan fasilitas dari agen resmi, perlunya penjelasan penumpang kondisi kelayakan terbang, informasi mengenai waktu check-in, jaminan mendapatkan seat bagi yang telah booking. Lebih lanjut, kepuasan konsumen dan kemauan konsumen untuk merekomendasikan perusahaan penerbangan sangat tergantung dari efisiensi pelayanan. Perusahaan dapat menciptakan citra positif melalui informasi penerbangan yang menjadi pintu bagi informasi layanan perusahaan lainnya. The aim of this paper is to assess the service quality of airline industry using the SERVQUAL model and to examine the relative importance attributed to service quality dimensions. A sample of 110 domestic and international passengers was administered the SERVQUAL instrument to determine their expectations and perceptions of service. Four factors are perceived as influencing perceptions of service namely agent/ticketing, information to passengers before flying (feasibility), time of check in, assurance for booking. Customer satisfaction and willingness to recommend the airline is primarily dependent on service efficiency. The company is able to create high perceptions of service using flight information priority that starting point to next services.

Abstract

Using different firm size proxies in financial research produces varying empirical results. The purpose of the paper is to find out the most appropriate firm size proxy between total sales and total assets in explaining asymmetric information at each stage of the firm life cycle. Pooled data were obtained as many as 3467 observation units from the annual reports of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2008-2019 period. In-line functional regression analysis based on dummy percentiles was used to answer research questions. Empirical results have explained that total sales have greater goodness of fit as a proxy for firm size than total assets. The presence of asymmetric information produces debt issues as a signal of poor quality firms. Thus, many previous studies may not be robust and biased.
