Abstract

This study aims at discussing several methods to produce aluminum oxide (Al2O3) synthesis methods along with the advantages and disadvantages of each method used. In general, several methods are available: (1) precipitation, (2) combustion, (3) sol-gel, (4) wet chemical, (5) synthesis in supercritical water conditions, (6) microwave, (7) mechanochemical, and (8) hydrolysis, and the most efficient method for synthesizing Al2O3 is precipitation because it is facile and the simplest method (compared to other methods), can be proceeded using inexpensive raw materials, produces less pollution, and has several advantages: high purity product, high thermal stability, nearly homogeneous nanoparticle in size, and control desired particle size. The results of the study help to provide comparisons in producing various Al2O3 synthesis methods.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine the most efficient synthesis method of magnesium oxide nanoparticles as an antimicrobial. The magnesium oxide synthesis method discussed in this study is complemented by the results of the study of the material sources, methods, advantages, and disadvantages of each method so that it can be a reference for choosing which method is more efficient in the synthesis of magnesium oxide. synthesis of magnesium oxide such as (1) synthesis of plant extracts,(2)) combustion, (3) sonochemical synthesis, (4) sol-gel synthesis, and (5) solid-state taken from the journal 2017-2020. This synthesis method resulted in the characterization of magnesium oxide nanoparticles which were analyzed using X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). The results showed that there were advantages and disadvantages of each method of synthesis of magnesium oxide used. The most efficient method for synthesizing magnesium oxide as an antimicrobial is the sol-gel synthesis method. The sol-gel method uses readily available materials, has a relatively low cost, easy procedure to perform, and was found to be a light and efficient route for large-scale industrial production of fine magnesium oxide nanoparticles as antimicrobials.

Abstract

This study aims to help educate and provide an understanding of the importance of paying attention to the nutritional needs of children, so children's growth and development can develop healthily and have adequate nutritional balance in children's bodies from an early age. Paying attention to nutrition in children from an early age has indeed become a responsibility for every parent. The method used is descriptive qualitative research and uses a questionnaire as one of the media used to determine the knowledge of the target respondents. Therefore, the results of this research are 7 parents who participated as respondents showed that they knew the information required in the questionnaire. 11 fifth-grade students, on the other hand, displayed a lack of fundamental understanding and familiarity with the subject. Thus, with this research, it can increases students and parents understanding about the importance of nutritional needs of children and the awareness in considering what intake should be given to children so that children’s continue to get balanced nutrition.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the technical and economic feasibility of a project to manufacture CoFe2O4 nanoparticles using the thermal decomposition synthesis method on an industrial scale. The method used in economic evaluation is to compare several parameters such as gross profile margin (GPM), payback period (PBP), breakeven points (BEP), internal rate return (IRR), cumulative net present value (CNPV), return on investment (ROI), and profitability index (PI). The results show that the production of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles is profitable on an industrial scale with a relatively lower selling price than the market price and a relatively small size. This project can run within nine years and the investment will be profitable within 2 years according to PBP results.

Abstract

Gold nanoparticles are very useful in various fields such as photoacoustic imaging microscopy, biotechnology, optoelectronics, and biomedicine. So the production of gold nanoparticle synthesis needs to be developed to an industrial scale. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of the gold nanoparticle synthesis project using the laser ablation method on large-scale based on economic aspects. Several economic evaluation parameters are analyzed to inform the potential production of AuNP, such as GPM (Gross Profit Margin), BEP (Break-Even Point), CNPV (Cumulative Net Present Value), PBP (Payback Period), and PI (Profitability Index). The results showed that the production of AuNP nanoparticles was so prospective. Technical analysis to produce 100 g of AuNP nanoparticles per day shows the total cost incurred by the production process is 2,323,180 USD per year. PBP analysis show that investment will be profitable after more than 2.2 years. This project can compete with PBP capital market standards because of the short investment returns. To ensure the feasibility of a project, the project is estimated from ideal conditions to the worst case in production, including labor, sales, raw materials, utilities, and external conditions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the economic and technical layout carried out on industrial scale CuO production using the hydrothermal method. The evaluation method used is economic evaluation by calculating gross profit margin (GPM), payback period (PBP), break even point (BEP), internal rate return (IRR), cumulative net present value (CNPV), and profitability index (PI). CuO was synthesized using Cu(CH3COO)2.H2O dissolved in water and then 1M sodium hydroxide solution was added. The solution was put in an autoclave at 110?C for 2 hours. Distilled water and ethanol were used to wash the black precipitate obtained and dried at 90?C in air. The results of the calculation of GPM and CNPV from the manufacture of industrial scale CuO show that the payback period (PBP) has increased in the third year because the project has been running well. CuO applications on an industrial scale can be used as photocatalysts and lithium battery anodes. This research is expected to provide an industrial scale overview of the economic evaluation and layout of the production of CuO through the hydrothermal method used as a photocatalyst and anode of lithium-ion batteries.

Abstract

Biodiesel is one of the solutions to future energy problems. One of the abundant biodiesel raw materials in Indonesia is soybean. This study aims to optimize the yield of biodiesel made from soybean oil by selecting the reactor design. This research method uses literature study and thermodynamic calculations from the transesterification reaction of soybean oil and methanol using a MgO catalyst to determine which type of reactor optimizes biodiesel yield. The type of reactor that can help optimize the yield of MgO biodiesel catalyst is a fluidized bed reactor type with an exothermic reaction and a negative Hf value. There is a higher product concentration than the reaction concentration in the scene because the rate constant is higher than one (K > 1), i.e. 1.312. The results of this study are expected to provide information in optimizing the yield of biodiesel from soybean oil.

Abstract

As the huge consumption of rice worldwide, the amount of production waste also increases. The purpose of this study was to investigate rice husk utilization for briquettes solid fuel which has aroused a great concern in the last few decades and growing number of related publications. Therefore, a bibliometric analysis of these publications may provide a direction of novel topics and prospective research trends. The related global literatures published between 2012 and 2021 have been scanned from ScienceDirect collection database. “Biochar briquettes” and “rice husk briquettes” are used as the keywords. VOSviewer is applied to perform the bibliometric analysis of these articles. In the same time, literature review has been done to analyze the research trends on rice husk-based briquetting.  Totally 400 publications on the topic of biochar briquettes were identified and “biomass” with a total link strength of 90 appeared as the most frequent keywords.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the advancement of scientific publications related to cerium oxide nanoparticles through a bibliometric approach using qualitative methods with descriptive statistics on literature studies on scientific articles. Two types of software are used: Publish or Perish and VOSviewer. Publish or Perish is used as a source to search for various relevant articles through the Google Scholar database, using the keyword "Cerium Oxide Nanoparticle," and obtained 997 articles from 2012 to 2022. The results show that 2012 and 2013 were fairly constant, increasing from 2014 to 2016, fluctuating from 2017 to 2020, and decreasing in 2021 and 2022. Data from Publish or Perish is inputted into VOSviewer to visualize and analyze mapping trends related to cerium oxide nanoparticles, obtaining 7 clusters of 189 items. The popularity of the terms used in scientific publications related to cerium oxide nanoparticles during the last three years has become less trending. This study concludes that there are still opportunities for future researchers to develop or even make discoveries related to cerium oxide nanoparticles.

Abstract

Abstrak - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan penelitian mengenai nanopartikel silikon dioksida (SiO2) menggunakan metode bibliometrik dengan bantuan aplikasi VOSviewer. Untuk mendapatkan data artikel digunakan aplikasi publish or perish reference manager dengan menggunakan database google scholar. Pada saat proses pengambilan database google scholar difokuskan pada publikasi jurnal dengan mengacu pada kata kunci "silicon dioxide nanoparticle" dengan rentang waktu 2012-2022. Dari hasil pencarian didapatkan sebanyak 996 artikel yang dianggap relevan. Dari 996 artikel didapatkan sebanyak 91 istilah yang berhubungan dengan nanopartikel silikon dioksida pada aplikasi VOSviewer yang terbagi ke dalam 7 klaster. Hasil analisis perkembangan penelitian mengenai nanopartikel silikon dioksida menunjukan penurunan dan kenaikan yang sangat jelas terlihat. Penurunan terlihat dari jumlah publikasi pada tahun 2012 sebanyak 90 menjadi 72 pada tahun 2013. Publikasi kembali meningkat pada tahun 2014 dan 2015, dimana pada tahun 2014 terdapat sebanyak 90 publikasi dan di tahun 2015 sebanyak 111 publikasi. Pada tahun 2016 turun cukup dratis hingga hanya 77 publikasi dan kembali naik menjadi 97 publikasi pada tahun 2017. Penaikan jumlah publikasi kembali terjadi di 2018 dengan 113 publikasi dan pada tahun 2019 turun kembali dengan berselisih 7 publikasi dari tahun sebelumnya. Tahun 2020 merupakan tahun publikasi terbanyak mengenai nanopartikel silikon dioksida dengan jumlah 116 publikasi. 2 tahun terakhir ini yaitu tahun 2021 dan 2022 penelitian mengenai nanopartikel silikon dioksida mengalami penurunan yang cukup drastis, hingga hanya terdapat sebanyak 47 publikasi saja di tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penelitian nanopartikel silikon dioksida masih memiliki peluang yang cukup besar untuk dilakukan penelitian terbaru yang terkait dengan istilah-istilah yang masih jarang dilakukan penelitian. Kata Kunci : Bibliometrik, nanopartikel silikon dioksida, VOSviewer. Abtrack - This study aims to determine the development of research on silicon dioxide nanoparticles using the bibliometric method with the help of the VOSviewer application. To get article data, use the publish or perish reference manager application using the Google Scholar database. During the process of taking the Google Scholar database, the focus was on journal publications with reference to the keyword "silicon dioxide nanoparticle" with a time span of 2012-2022. From the search results obtained as many as 996 articles that are considered relevant. From 996 articles, there were 91 terms related to silicon dioxide nanoparticles in the VOSviewer application which were divided into 7 clusters. The results of the analysis of the development of research on silicon dioxide nanoparticles show a very clear decrease and increase. The decline can be seen from the number of publications in 2012 from 90 to 72 in 2013. Publications increased again in 2014 and 2015, where in 2014 there were 90 publications and in 2015 there were 111 publications. In 2016 it fell quite drastically to only 77 publications and again rose to 97 publications in 2017. The increase in the number of publications occurred again in 2018 with 113 publications and in 2019 it fell again with a difference of 7 publications from the previous year. The year 2020 is the year for the most publications on silicon dioxide nanoparticles with a total of 116 publications. The last 2 years, namely in 2021 and 2022, research on silicon dioxide nanoparticles has decreased quite drastically, until there are only 47 publications in 2022. The results show that research on silicon dioxide nanoparticles still has a large enough opportunity for the latest research to be carried out. related to terms that are still rarely researched.Keyword : Bibliometrics, silicon dioxide nanoparticles, VOSviewer.
