Abstract

Tujuan dari perencanaan ini adalah untuk mengembangkan desain batch reactor pada produksi partikel CuO. Dilakukan analisis komputasional dan perhitungan dari reaktor dan pengaduk meliputi perhitungan volume, tinggi, ketebalan, jumlah pengaduk, panjang dan diameter pendorong, dan neraca massa. Digunakan perangkat lunak Microsoft Excel untuk melakukan perhitungan desain reaktor. Berdasarkan perhitungan, volume reaktor adalah 20.5254 kaki, dan tinggi 5.0738 kaki. Reaktor ini mempunyai satu pengaduk dengan empat mata pengaduk dan tenaga satu kuda. Hasil dari komputasi dan analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan dan komparasi performa reaktor pada proses manufaktur sebagai media pembelajaran

Abstract

Nanopartikel memiliki potensi yang besar khususnya untuk industri di masa depan. Kajian ini menjelaskan studi nanopartikel mangan menggunakan pendekatan bibliometrik dan analisis komputasional dengan VOSviewer. Alat pengelola referensi publish or perish digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian dari database Google Scholar. "Nanopartikel Mangan, dan Kimia" adalah istilah pencarian yang digunakan dalam judul dan abstrak artikel. Dalam sebelas tahun terakhir, 999 item yang relevan dengan pencarian dikembalikan (2012-2022). Pemeriksaan nanopartikel mangan menghasilkan temuan yang tidak konsisten. Terjadi peningkatan publikasi dari 76 menjadi 131 antara tahun 2012 dan 2015. Kecuali tahun 2019 yang mengalami peningkatan, jumlah artikel cenderung menurun dari tahun ke tahun hingga tahun 2022. Kajian ini dapat menjadi pedoman untuk penelitian selanjutnya, khususnya  kajian terhadap nanopartikel mangan.

Abstract

This study examines the development of research on Zirconium nanoparticles through a bibliometric approach with computational mapping analysis using VOSviewer. Journal article data was obtained from the Google Scholar database using the Publish or Perish application. The keywords used to search related journals are zirconium, nanoparticles, chemistry. There were 999 journal articles related to keywords. The range of journal articles searched from the Google Scholar database is the last 10 years (2012 – 2022). The results show that research zirconium nanoparticles can be separated into 2 terms: nanoparticle and zirconium. The term zirconium which included in cluster 1 with 271 links total, 1970 total link strength, and 343 occurrences, and the second term is nanoparticles which belongs to cluster 2 with a total of 270 links, a total link strength of 2556, and occurrences of 445. The results of the analysis of research developments in the last 11 years show a slight fluctuation. In 2012 – 2013 there was an increase in the number of studies from 34 to 62 (28 studies). It decreased from 2016-2017. This decline can be seen from the number of publications in 2016 (94 publications) to 2017 (86 publications). The development of zirconium nanoparticles research increased in the last 5 years, before a drastic decline in 2022. The results of the study indicate that the opportunity for research on zirconium nanoparticle still has a high enough chance and is linked to other terms.

Abstract

This study aims to visualize data, trace the research trends, and evaluate research on water hyacinths and education from 2010 to 2023. This research used a database from Scopus. The data search used the keywords water hyacinth education and water hyacinth. We got 953 data articles and review articles. The data was then analyzed using Ms. Excel to analyze the number of articles, the number of citations per year, and the highest number of citations. The data was then mapped using the VOSviewer software. The mapping results were analyzed to see research trends based on related keywords. The results of the data visualization show that there are 374 keyword items grouped into 4 clusters. The results of taking data from 2010 to 2023 show that the research trend of water hyacinth and education tends to increase. Nonetheless, we evaluate that more research on water hyacinth is carried out in the fields of pure scientific research such as ecological communities, socio-economic effects, reproduction, its potential as bioenergy, and physiochemical properties. Thus, water hyacinth research opportunities in the field of education still have very broad potential to be carried out. This study was expected to provide information on research trends, mapping, and evaluation of research on water hyacinths and education.

Abstract

Mass transfer during the reaction process is limited in industrial biodiesel manufacture. Therefore, to overcome this problem, a reactor from castor oil transesterified using ZnO nanocatalyst was designed. ZnO can be used as a catalyst for biodiesel production due to the nature of ZnO which has high catalytic activity, low material costs and is environmentally friendly. This study aims to design a design for the manufacture of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanocrystals using a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) reactor. By giving data on incoming feedstock and product flow produced by the reactor, mass balance calculations were used in this study as a benchmark to determine whether the reactor was operating appropriately. Additionally, using Microsoft Excel, manual calculations were done for the reactor design and agitator design employed in the reactor. According to calculations used in reactor design, the reactor has a volume of 1967.78 liters, a vessel diameter of 44.77 inches, a height of 19.25 inches, and a thickness of 44.98 inches. The reactor is equipped in one stirrer with a power on a typical 10 hp agitator motor, turbulent agitator flow conditions exist.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and analyze the design of heat exchangers in the production of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) by the biosynthesis method using Sargassum horneri (SH) extract. The simple design of this heat exchanger (HE) uses the shell and tube type, the one-pass tube, and the fluids are water. Other specifications for a HE design are the tube length is 4.267 m, the shell diameter is 254 mm, the outer tube diameter is 22.225 mm, the inner tube diameter is 21.184 mm, the wall thickness is 2.1082 mm, and the pitch tube is 31.75 mm. Based on manual calculations using Microsoft Excel software, the results show that this design has laminar flow as indicated by the Reynolds value. In addition, the HE designs has an effectiveness value of 98.98% with an NTU value of 11.50. In this study, the HE designs results have a high effectiveness value, so it can be considered effective for use in producing gold nanoparticles with SH extract. Therefore, this HE designs analysis can be used as a learning medium in the HE designs process, the operating mechanism, and the performance analysis of the HE.

Abstract

In scientific writing in the form of articles, the term template is often used. every author who would publish an article in a journal must change the draft format according to the journal template. Therefore, this research was conducted to discuss ways to do templates quickly using Microsoft Word. Some tools and materials must be prepared in doing the template, namely Microsoft Word, article draft, and journal templates. Based on the results and discussion it was found that in the template process, four steps must be carried out, namely blocking, copying, pasting, and checking. This research is expected to help authors who would adjust the format and move the article draft they make into the journal template.

Abstract

Submitting papers to journals is an activity that is often carried out by authors. Before the submission process, there is one step that must be carried out by the author, namely the article template. Article templates are an activity to customize our writing to match the journal template. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate step-by-step the creation of templates for articles that will be submitted to journals. The step-by-step analysis is provided to make it easier for first-time authors to do journal templates using Microsoft Word. This research makes it possible to make it easy to do article templates by utilizing the Microsoft Word application. Ms. Application Word is used because it is free and can be used offline. As a practical example, we did an article template into the ASEAN Journal of Science and Engineering (AJSE) template. How to set the format for tables, images, paragraphs, title paragraphs, and copy and paste articles is discussed in detail in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the technical and economic feasibility of a project to manufacture CoFe2O4 nanoparticles using the thermal decomposition synthesis method on an industrial scale. The method used in economic evaluation is to compare several parameters such as gross profile margin (GPM), payback period (PBP), breakeven points (BEP), internal rate return (IRR), cumulative net present value (CNPV), return on investment (ROI), and profitability index (PI). The results show that the production of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles is profitable on an industrial scale with a relatively lower selling price than the market price and a relatively small size. This project can run within nine years and the investment will be profitable within 2 years according to PBP results.

Abstract

This study's objective is to examine the design of a heat exchanger for the production of SnO2 nanoparticles by calculating the shell and tube heat exchanger's dimensions. In order for the design to be well-directed, several steps must be taken, including determining the heat exchanger's dimensions and material requirements using standards, computing the main shell and tube components, and computing the heat exchanger's performance. Microsoft Excel is used for heat exchanger data processing. One shell and two tubes were used in the design of the heat exchanger. The results of the designed HE have a shell diameter of 0.84 m, a tube length of 7.315 m, and an inside diameter of 0.021 m. The flow type of HE is turbulent, with a heat transfer efficiency of 48.05 percent and a fouling factor of 0.0015195 m2·K/W, the device generates a heat transfer rate of 958198.91 W. This study demonstrates that the heat exchanger has a successful, high-performing design. This design can be used as a model for creating a heat exchanger that is more cost-efficient, efficient, and reliable.
