Abstract

The demand for cayenne pepper always increases every year along with the increase in population. To increase the yield of cayenne pepper, among others, through fertilization by giving doses of NPK and monosodium glutamate (MSG) fertilizers. The purpose of the study was to determine the best dose of NPK and MSG fertilizer on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants. The research was carried out at the Practical Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in August - December 2021. The study used a factorial completely randomized design with 4 replications. The first factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer with levels: NPK fertilizer dose of 1.5 g/plant, and 3.0 g/plant. The second factor with the level: monosodium glutamate dose includes no MSG 0 g/plant; 2.5 g/plant; 5.0 g/plant; and 7.5 g/plant. The results showed that there was no interaction between the dose of NPK fertilizer and monosodium glutamate (MSG) on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper. The dose of NPK fertilizer 3 g/plant and MSG 5 g/plant can provide the best growth and yield of cayenne pepper including number of leaves, number of fruit per plant, total number of fruit per plant and total fruit weight per plant.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the growth and yield of cassava leaf at the best dose of manure and planting position of cassava stem cuttings. The location of the research was carried out in the Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Condongcatur, Yogyakarta. The time of the research was carried out in November - February 2020 with the Regosol soil type and an altitude of approximately 110 m above sea level. This study used a field experiment with a factorial design which was arranged in complete randomized groups. The first treatment was the dose of manure, consisting of 4 levels: manure doses of 5 t/ha, 10 t/ha, 15 t/ha, and 20 t/ha. The second treatment was the planting position of the stem cuttings, consisting of 3 levels: vertical planting position, vertical planting position but the tip facing upwards was burned, and planting tilted at an angle of more than 60 degree. The results showed that the dose of manure did not show a significant difference to the growth and yield of cassava leaves. The planting position of cassava stem cuttings with normal cuttings gave the highest growth in the number of cuttings, shoot length, number of leaves, plant height and yield of fresh weight of cassava leaves. Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the composition of the tea waste liquid organic fertilizer and the composition of the growing media in increasing the yield of tomato plants. The research was conducted from June to November 2022 at the Wedomartani Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Kapanewon Ngemplak, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Research method with polybags using factorial (3 × 3 + 1) arranged in a completely randomized design. The first factor was tea waste liquid organic fertilizer with 3 levels: 200 ml/l, 300 ml/l, and 400 ml/l. The second factor was the composition of the planting medium in the form of a mixture of soil and goat manure consisting of 3 levels: (1:1), (1:2), and (2:1). For each treatment of tea waste liquid organic fertilizer, 3 grams of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer was added. The control treatment used soil and 3 grams of NPK fertilizer for each application of fertilization which was given 3 times. The results showed that the combination of treatments was better than the control on tomato fruit diameter per harvest, tomato fresh fruit weight per third and fourth harvest. There was no interaction between the concentration of tea waste liquid organic fertilizer and the composition of the planting medium. Concentration of 400 ml/l tea waste liquid organic fertilizer gave higher yields on tomato fruit diameter per harvest, tomato fresh fruit weight per harvest and total tomato fresh fruit weight. The composition of the growing media with a composition of 1:1 gave the highest yield on tomato fruit diameter per harvest and a composition of 2:1 for total fresh fruit weight of tomatoes.

Abstract

Purple eggplant is a seasonal vegetable that contains a lot of fiber and few calories and is rich in manganese, folate, potassium, vitamins K and C, small amounts of niacin, magnesium and copper. The research aims to determine the composition of various planting media compositions and liquid organic fertilizers that are best for the growth and yield of purple eggplant plants. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, National Development University "Veteran" Yogyakarta. This research used a factorial design arranged in a completely randomized design. The first factor is the composition of the planting medium, soil, sand, and manure with volume ratios of (2:1:1), (1:1:2), (1:2:1), and (1:2:2). The second factor is the type of liquid organic fertilizer consisting of rabbit urine, cow urine, rice washing water and liquid smoke. The research results showed that the composition of the planting media and the application of liquid organic fertilizer from rabbit urine, cow urine, rice washing water and liquid smoke had no significant effect on all parameters, except for the diameter of purple eggplant stems per plant.

Abstract

Weed vegetation refers to plants that grow in agricultural land, gardens, or other environments that are undesirable to humans. The aim of the research was to analyze weed composition and determine the value of weed diversity in teak plant stands and sengon plant stands. Analysis of weed vegetation on land with the SDR coefficient value of weed species, to see differences in weed composition between two stands using a community index. The research was carried out in Sumber Girisuko Village Panggang District, Gunungkidul Regency. Determining the research location used the purposive sampling method and weed sampling using systematic random sampling, while the analysis method used the quadratic method. The results obtained show that in this study 10 weed species were found from 6 families, namely Passifloraceae, Colchicaeae, Asteraceae, Poaceae, Convolvulaceae, and Verbenaceae. In the land under teak stands, 5 species were found with SDR values of 0.03-0.61, in land under sengon stands there were 8 species with SDR values of 0.02-0.48. The value of the community coefficient for the land under the teak and sengon stands was 16%, meaning that the weeds on the two lands were not uniform. The diversity index (H') value for land under teak stands is 1.10 and for sengon stands is 1.52, which means it is classified as moderate. The Simpson dominance index was found to be 0.40 in land under teak stands, and 0.27 in sengon stands, meaning that weed species were present but did not dominate.

Abstract

Improvement of cultivation techniques to increase green chili yield is by applying organic mulch and using manure. This study was to determine the best organic mulch and manure application for the growth and yield of green chili plants. The study was conducted in Pandes I, Wonokromo, Pleret, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta in March - June 2023. This study used a Split Plot Design with two factors in three replications. The main plot is the type of organic mulch consisting of 4 levels: rice straw, rice husks, sawdust, and bamboo litter. The subplot is the type of manure consisting of 3 levels: cow manure 30 tons/ha, goat manure 30 tons/ha, and chicken manure 30 tons/ha. The results showed that there was no interaction between the use of organic mulch and manure on all plant yield parameters. Organic mulch such as rice straw, sawdust, rice husks and bamboo litter did not give the best results on the total weight of green chili per plot, the weight of green chili per hectare and the harvest index of green chili. The use of chicken manure gave the best results on the weight of green chili per harvest, the total weight of green chili, the weight of green chili hectare, and the harvest index of green chili.

Abstract

Limbah kain perca adalah potongan sisa kain yang sudah tidak terpakai lagi, tetapi masih bisa digunakan untuk membuat kebutuhan lain dan bisa dimanfaatkan.  Oleh karena itu, limbah padat jenis ini harus didaur ulang untuk digunakan kembali. Memanfaatkan limbah kain perca dapat dilakukan dengan cara daur ulang. Dengan proses yang baik dan benar, limbah kain perca ini memiliki potensi untuk menjadi sebuah produk yang memiliki nilai tambah dan berkesan jauh dari limbah sehingga memiliki nilai jual yang tinggi.   Limbah kain merupakan salah satu jenis anorganik yang sulit diolah karena tidak dapat terurai dan tidak dapat di kompos, dan apabila dibakar akan menimbulkan asap dan gas beracun yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan dan sekitar. Dari fenomena tersebut, tim pengmas menyarankan solusi kepada warga Gampong Baroh Blang Rimueng, Aceh Utara berupa pembuatan kain perca yang telah didaur ulang menjadi produk dengan nilai ekonomi tinggi dengan cara pengolahan limbah kain menjadi barang yang lebih bermanfaat, seperti pincushion dan tas unik dari kain perca. Pincushion dan tas  ternyata sangat mudah dibuat bahkan tanpa menggunakan mesin jahit pun bisa.  Selain ramah lingkungan, kegiatan ini juga dapat menjadi peluang usaha dan juga menjadi sebuah penghasilan tambahan serta melatih jiwa kewirausahaan masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Service Excellent merupakan bagian penting dalam meningkatkan mutu pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit. Dalam pelayanan rawat inap, peran perawat sangat krusial karena mereka berinteraksi langsung dengan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi implementasi Service Excellent di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Depati Bahrin Sungailiat Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Informan terdiri dari 6 perawat sebagai informan utama, serta 1 kepala ruangan dan 1 Kepala Bidang Keperawatan sebagai informan pendukung. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, keabsahan data, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua tema utama, yaitu pemahaman perawat mengenai Service Excellent dan implementasi standar A6 dalam Service Excellent. Implementasi standar A6 mencakup beberapa kategori: Sikap (Attitude), yaitu kemampuan perawat menunjukkan keramahan dan empati; Perhatian (Attention), yaitu fokus perawat pada kebutuhan pasien; Tindakan (Action), berupa respons cepat dan tepat terhadap keluhan pasien; Kemampuan (Ability), yaitu kompetensi teknis perawat dalam memberikan pelayanan; Penampilan (Appearance), terkait cara perawat menjaga kebersihan dan kerapihan diri; serta Akuntabilitas (Accountability), yaitu tanggung jawab perawat terhadap pelayanan yang diberikan. Implementasi Service Excellent di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Depati Bahrin telah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip dasar, namun masih memerlukan upaya peningkatan, terutama dalam aspek dukungan manajemen dan pelatihan berkelanjutan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi rumah sakit untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan.

Abstract

Bleeding disease in tangerine plants is caused by the fungus Botryodiplodia theobromae. This study aimed to determine the effect of Cyperus rotundus L. extract on the growth of B. theobromae mycelia and spores in vitro, and to determine the best concentration of C. rotundus extract in inhibiting the growth of the fungus. The study was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 7 treatments, namely C. rotundus extract concentrations of 0.0% (control), 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%, and 0.5%, as well as a fungicide treatment containing the active ingredient carbendazim 0.1%. The observed variable was fungal growth measured by colony diameter. The results showed that the treatment of sedge rhizome extract was able to suppress the development of B. theobromae fungal colonies. This nutmeg rhizome extract has the potential to be developed as a botanical pesticide to control B. theobromae fungus, and a concentration of 0.5% nutmeg rhizome extract has the highest inhibitory power against the growth of B. theobromae fungus, namely 56%.

Abstract

With the covid-19 pandemic still ongoing in Indonesia, liquidity problems are a challenge for the banking industry today. This article aims to discuss how the strategies used by BRI in maintaining liquidity in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic. BRI's LCR itself is still at 230%, above the minimum rate set by the OJK. This is inseparable from the role of BI in maintaining the stability of bank liquidity which is realized by reducing the reserve requirement and increasing the PLM.
