Abstract

Limbah pertanian merupakan sumber bahan organik berkelanjutan di dunia. Untuk mengatasi penurunan kesuburan tanah yang berkepanjangan, lahan pangan membutuhkan penambahan bahan organik secara berkelanjutan. Biochar merupakan bahan organik yang persisten tersimpan dalam tanah. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan wawasan petani dalam memanfaatkan teknologi biochar tanpa asap dalam mengelola tongkol jagung sesuai prosedur karbon kredit. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari: 1) Training prosedur standarisasi; 2) Produksi biochar dan pupuk slow release; dan 3) Aplikasi biochar sebagai bahan pembenah tanah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah: 1) Meningkatnya kemampuan kelompok tani memproduksi biochar sesuai prosedur karbon kredit; 2) Sertifikasi biochar untuk kelompok tani; dan 3) Meningkatnya kandungan C-organik tanah. Dalam kegiatan ini melibatkan 40 orang anggota Kelompok Tani Masseddi I yang berkomitmen untuk mengolah limbah jagung menggunakan teknologi biochar sesuai prosedur karbon kredit sebagai tindak mitigasi petani jagung menghadapi perubahan iklim. To overcome the prolonged decline in soil fertility, food fields require the addition of organic matter on an ongoing basis. Biochar is a persistent organic material stored in the soil. This activity aims to increase farmers' insight into utilizing smokeless biochar technology in managing corn cobs according to the carbon credit procedure. Methods in implementing activities consist of 1) Standardization procedure training, 2) Biochar and slow-release fertilizer production, and 3) Application of biochar as a soil amendment. The results of this activity are: 1) Increasing the ability of farmer groups to produce biochar according to carbon credit procedures; 2) Biochar certification for farmer groups; and 3) Increasing soil C-organic content. This activity involved 40 Masseddi I Farmer Group members committed to processing corn waste using biochar technology according to the carbon credit procedure as a mitigation measure for corn farmers facing climate change. Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Lamperangan tentang teknik bercocok tanam hidroponik sayuran untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lahan. Teknologi hidroponik yang diperkenalkan diharapakan dapat diterapkan oleh mitra sasaran dan menjadi sumber pendapatan bagi kelompok tani Lamperangan serta menjadi tempat eduwisata. Kegiatan ini dibagi dalam 3 tahapan yaitu: 1) Persiapan bahan dan peralatan; 2) Pelatihan dan penyuluhan; dan 3) Penerapan budidaya hidroponik sayuran. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa anggota KTH Lamperangan memiliki minat yang cukup besar dalam menerapkan teknik budidaya hidroponik, peserta pelatihan sangat bersemangat saat praktek persemaian benih sayuran pada media rockwol, pemindahan bibit yang telah tumbuh ke instalasi serta pembuatan larutan nutrisi AB mix. ABSTRACT This activity aims to provide knowledge and skills to the Lamperangan Forest Farmers Group (KTH) regarding hydroponic vegetable farming techniques to increase land productivity. It is hoped that the hydroponic technology introduced can be implemented by target partners and become a source of income for Lamperangan farming groups as well as becoming an educational tourism destination. This activity is divided into 3 stages, namely: 1) preparation of materials and equipment; 2) training and counseling; 3) Application of hydroponic vegetable cultivation. The results of this service activity can be concluded that KTH Lamperangan members have quite a big interest in implementing hydroponic cultivation techniques, the training participants were very enthusiastic when practicing sowing vegetable seeds on rockwool media, transferring grown seeds to the installation and making AB mix nutrient solutions. Abstract

Pertambahan penduduk yang tidak terkendali setiap tahun meningkatkan kebutuhan lahan pemukiman dan ekonomi, menyebabkan alih fungsi lahan pertanian. Penelitian ini menganalisis penyebab alih fungsi lahan di Kecamatan Bacukiki, Kota Parepare, serta dampaknya terhadap lingkungan. Dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, sampel 52 petani yang telah menjual lahan diambil untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab konversi lahan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan rumah tangga, modal usaha, lahan kurang produktif, dan cuaca tak menentu menjadi penyebab utama. Dampak lingkungannya adalah meningkatnya banjir dan tanah longsor pada 2018-2023.

Abstract

Aquaponics is the application of integrated agricultural techniques between the cultivation of fish and vegetables that are environmentally friendly with efficient use of inputs and optimizing production. Aling Hydroponics Farm has long applied hydroponic techniques for cultivating vegetables, apart from also cultivating fish using fiber ponds. However, the application of these two techniques has not been integrated so that it is not efficient in using production inputs. This international collaborative community service activity aims to socialize aquaponic techniques to Aling Hidroponik Farm partners as an effort to increase the efficiency of resource use in farming. The method of implementing activities uses visits and discussions at hydroponic cultivation and fish cultivation locations. This activity was attended by lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar and lecturers from the Faculty of Sustainable Agriculture, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, students and the community. The results of the activity showed that the participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in the activity, the participants actively asked questions and expressed opinions regarding the opportunities and obstacles to implementing the aquaponic system from economic and social aspects.

Abstract

Peningkatan retensi nitrogen pada lahan tembakau merupakan strategi penting peningkatan mutu dan produksi tembakau. Pupuk slow release dari biochar sumber nitrogen dari pupuk kimia, urin sapi dan bakteri diyakini mampu meningkatkan retensi nitrogen dan efisien serapan hara. Oleh karena itu kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan penggunaan pupuk slow release pada budidaya tembakau. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi: 1) penyuluhan penggunaan bahan pembenah tanah; 2) pendampingan produksi pupuk slow release; 3) pendampingan pembibitan tembakau standar SNI; 4) demplot penerapan GAP pada budidaya tembakau; dan 5) pemantauan aplikasi pupuk slow release dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan partisipasi aktif petani dari 2 kelompok tani yakni Mamminasa Deceng dan Alemarajae serta perwakilan dari GAPOKTAN Ujung Rilau, dimana berhasil diproduksi pupuk slow release sebanyak tiga formula, yakni 1) Biochar + SP36; 2) Biochar + SP36 + urin sapi; dan 3) Biochar + SP36 + urin sapi + Azotobacter. Keempat formulasi pupuk telah distandarisasi oleh lembaga sertifikasi karbon internasional Biochar Life, sehingga dapat direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan di lahan pertanian khususnya lahan tembakau. Kata kunci: Bina desa, retensi nitrogen, efisiensi serapan hara, produktivitas. ABSTRACT Increasing nitrogen retention in tobacco fields is an important strategy to improve tobacco quality and production. Slow-release fertilizer from biochar, a source of nitrogen from chemical fertilizers, cow urine and bacteria, is believed to be able to increase nitrogen retention and efficient nutrient absorption. Therefore, this activity aims to implement the use of slow-release fertilizer in tobacco cultivation. The implementation methods of the activity include: 1) counseling on the use of soil conditioners; 2) assistance in the production of slow-release fertilizers; 3) assistance in the production of SNI standard tobacco; 4) demonstration plots for the application of GAP in tobacco cultivation and; 5) monitoring the application of slow-release fertilizers and plant growth. The results of the activity showed the active participation of farmers from 2 farmer groups, namely Mamminsa Deceng and Alemarajae, and representatives from GAPOKTAN Ujung Rilau, where three formulas of slow-release fertilizers were successfully produced, namely 1) Biochar + SP36; 2) Biochar + SP36 + Cow urine; and 3) Biochar + SP36 + Cow urine + Azotobacter. The four fertilizer formulations have been standardized by the international carbon certification body Biochar Life so that they can be recommended for application on agricultural land, especially tobacco land. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the best growing medium for the mycelium growth of F1 oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) seeds using millet flour as a nutritional supplement. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was applied with two factors: the type of growing medium (corn, sawdust, rice husks) and the concentration of millet flour (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%). Observed variables included mycelium growth (cm), mycelium density, and daily growth on the 7th, 14th, and 21st days after inoculation. The results indicated that corn without millet flour (J1P0) produced the best mycelium growth, while adding 25% millet flour to corn (J1P1) and sawdust (J2P1) enhanced mycelium density. However, higher millet concentrations (50% and 75%) tended to reduce growth efficiency due to excessive moisture content. This study recommends using millet flour at low concentrations to improve the efficiency of sustainable F1 oyster mushroom seed production.

Abstract

Cement mining by exploiting Maros karst, South Sulawesi, produces waste in the form of gypsum, which still has the potential to be used in bioremediation as a planting medium for plant commodities. The research aims to determine the growth of chili plants on former cement mining media treated with mycorrhiza and biohumic—the biohumate used from an extract of cocoa pod husk. The research was structured using an experimental method with 5 treatments, namely primary media in the form of soil + manure as a control, gypsum 30 g/polybag, gypsum 60 g/polybag, gypsum 30 g/polybag+mycorrhiza, gypsum 60 g/polybag+mycorrhiza. The treatment was then divided into 2, with biohumic and without biohumic. The research showed that all observed parameters had higher values in the biohumic treatment than without biohumic. Treatment with 30 g gypsum/polybag + mycorrhiza can improve the physical properties of the soil by changing the percentage composition of soil fractions. It can also increase P2O2 and K2O levels and provide the best growth for chili plants. It is possible to utilize waste from cement mines to produce horticultural commodities by bioremediation with mycorrhiza and biohumate.

Abstract

Downy mildew is a significant disease of corn plants caused by the pathogenic fungus Peronosclerospora maydis, with attack rates reaching 95%. The application of slow-release fertilizer based on corn cob biochar is expected to increase the resistance of corn plants. Similarly, Bacillus sp. and Pseudomonas sp. are known as antagonistic microorganisms. Bacteria can produce antibiotic compounds that hydrolyze fungal cell walls, siderophores, and other antibiotic properties that inhibit pathogen growth. This study aims to determine the morphological characteristics of downy mildew-infected corn on biochar-applied land. Treatments were arranged factorially in a Factorial Randomized Block Design repeated four times. The treatment was the application of slow-release fertilizer from biochar mixed with NPK fertilizer, namely control, slow-release fertilizer, slow-release fertilizer + cow urine, and slow-release fertilizer + cow urine + bacteria (Azobacter and Bacillus). The results showed that slow-release fertilizer gave the best growth to both normal and downy mildew-affected maize plants. The stomata of typical corn leaves were more open with regular vascular bundles, while those affected by downy mildew had more closed and irregular stomata. The chlorophyll content index in downy mildew-affected maize can also improve by applying biochar-based slow-release fertilizer.

Abstract

Pelayanan kesehatan Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan memiliki terobosan dengan menggunakan pendaftaran secara online. Tempat pelayanan yang jaraknya jauh bisa jadi membuat orang akan enggan untuk mendatanginya. Jauhnya tempat pelayanan bisa menyebabkan membengkaknya akomodasi pelayanan, karena selain biaya pelayanan kesehatan ada biaya tambahan yaitu biaya transportasi. Tindakan atau cara petugas dalam melakukan pelayanan merupakan hal yang sangat mempengaruhi pasien dalam pemanfaatan layanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas pelayanan, keterjangkauan lokasi, dan sikap petugas kesehatan pada praktik vaksinasi meningitis untuk jamaah umrah di Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan Kelas I Kota Makassar Wilayah Kerja Parepare. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan Cross sectional Study. Teknik pengambilan sampel Accidental Sampling dengan jumlah sampel 96 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 84,4% responden yang melakukan praktik vaksinasi dengan tepat waktu. Tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara variabel kualitas pelayanan (p-value > 0,419), sikap petugas kesehatan (p-value > 0,145), sedangkan ada hubungan signifikan keterjangkauan lokasi (p-value < 0,036). Lokasi KKP sebaiknya berada di tengah-tengah kota agar mudah dijangkau dan lebih meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan kepada jamaah, meliputi proses pendaftaran yang mudah dan cepat, meminimalkan waktu antrian tunggu, kenyamanan ruang tunggu dan diperjelas alur vaksinasi.

Abstract

Prevalensi sectio caesarea di RSUD Andi Makkasau Parepare pada tahun 2016sebanyak 873 persalinan, pada tahun 2017 sebanyak 893 persalinan, pada tahun 2018 sebanyak 626 persalinan. Di mana prevalensi sectio caesarea di Rumah sakit lain yang ada di Kota Parepare yaitu Rumah Sakit Fatima Parepare pada tahun 2016 sebanyak 290 persalinan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik ibu bersalin dengan sectio caesarea di RSUD Andi Makkasau Parepare, jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Populasinya seluruh pasien ibu hamil yang melakukan persalinan dengan sectio caesarea sebanyak 150 persalinan dan sampel penelitia yaitu sebagian dari ibu hanil yang melakukan persalinan dengan sectio caesarea dengan metode pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik aksidental sampling dengan jumlah 30 sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ibu hamil yang melakukan sectio caesarea berdasarkan umur 20-35 sebanyak 25 orang, pendidikan SMA sebanyak 18 orang, pekerjaan sebagai IRT sebanyak 24 orang, paritas 1-2 kali sebanyak 23 orang, kondisi jantung janin yang tidak normal sebanyak 1 orang, tali pusar janin melilit sebanyak 3 orang, posisi janin tidak normal sebanyak 1, tidak ada yang mengalami cacat lahir, partus lama sebanyak 5 orang, preeklamsia sebanyak 3 orang, kondisi kesehatan kronis ibu sebanyak 2 orang, Cephalopelvic Disproportion sebanyak 6 orang, dan ketuban pecah dini sebanyak 11 orang. Disarankan untuk ibu hamil melakukan control untuk mencegah terjadinya komplikasi dalam kehamilan.
