Abstract

Not all students have the ability to speak or to express opinions in public well, and not all students are able to engage in the learning process with a student centered approach. Therefore, the learning model with a student centered approach should still be juxtaposed with the considered percentage of lecture method (teacher cantered approach). This research aims to produce an Articulation learning model development oriented towards student activities. The data analysis was referring to the ISMAN model which consists of the stages: input, process, output, feedback, and learning. Based on the validity test to the validator, the Articulation development model is declared suitable for the Economics learning process. The students responses to the utilization of the Articulation development model obtained an average percentage of 88.62% in the category of very effective.

Abstract

Citizenship lessons require a student not only to receive lessons in the form of knowledge, but also to develop from attitudes, skills and values. In relation to the quality of education, especially education at the junior high school level, it is still far from what we expect. So it is still necessary to improve learning achievement/outcomes, where the Graduation Standards targeted by the government are always increasing every year so that all educators complain about them, even parents of students. With the problem of the condition of low achievement or student learning outcomes, several efforts have been made, one of which is to improve learning methods that can make students more interested and fun when learning. Where teachers in managing learning activities in the classroom should be able to develop patterns of interaction so that students become motivated, creative, responsive, interactive and evaluative. By using the STAD type cooperative learning method, it is expected that students can be motivated and increase their learning activities, so that there is repetition and reinforcement of the material given at school in the hope that students are able to improve learning outcomes or student achievement at least reach the expected standard. In the process of cycle I and cycle II, it has been proven that using the STAD type cooperative method can increase active participation in student learning outcomes, so it is hoped that teachers can develop the STAD method in the teaching and learning process, especially Citizenship Education.

Abstract

In the digital era, enhancing the quality of education demands innovative approaches. Blended learning—combining face-to-face and online instruction—has emerged as a promising model to boost students’ learning motivation. This study employed a quantitative descriptive design to evaluate the effectiveness of blended learning in improving student motivation at UIN Suska Riau. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations. The population consisted of all students enrolled in the Economic Education Study Program, with a sample size of 143 respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential tests, including normality, homogeneity, and paired sample t-tests. Findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning motivation after the implementation of blended learning. The pretest results showed an average motivation score of 38.23, categorized as moderate. After blended learning was applied, the posttest average rose to 52.05, indicating a high level of motivation. A paired sample t-test yielded a p-value of 0.000 ( 0.05), confirming a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest motivation levels. The results demonstrate that blended learning significantly enhances student motivation. These findings suggest that integrating blended learning can be an effective strategy for educators aiming to foster motivation and engagement. This study provides practical insights for lecturers and educational institutions seeking to adopt innovative learning models and develop more dynamic instructional strategies.
