Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of financial literacy of Bidikmisi scholarship recipients in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the University of Riau. This study involved 178 students as samples taken from a population of 630 students using the Cochran sampling technique. This research is a survey research. Data obtained through tests were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that the financial literacy of the Bidikmisi Scholarship recipient students is in the literate category. Financial knowledge related to basic personal finance is in the well literate category, financial management knowledge is in the literate category, knowledge of debt and credit is in the well literate category, knowledge related to savings and investment is in the unliterate category, and knowledge of risk management is in the unliterate category.

Abstract

Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) has eroded globally, particularly which related to ecology. Even though TEK has been recognized as crucial for a sustainable development perspective. This study aims to explore TEK of Orang Suku Laut (OSL) Konky Strait in Lingga about the utilization of mangrove ecosystem. Research area is Konky Strait which is a part of Lingga Regency, Riau Archipelago Province. Data was collecting by using document study, field study, in-depth interviews, meetings and group interviews, participatory and non- participatory observation techniques. There are at least eight species of flora and 17 species of fauna that are known by OSL in Konky Strait. Taxonomically, flora which has been utilized are classified in 6 families, while fauna consist of 15 families. The types of flora are generally utilized for firewood, building materials, fisheries infrastructure (fishing gear) and traditional medicine for health. While the whole fauna species used as food sources. Almost all mangrove flora parts are used such as trunk, branches, leaves, flowers, fruits, shoots, and roots. It can be concluded that Orang Suku Laut Konky Strait have traditional ecological knowledge in the management of mangrove ecosystems in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Not all students have the ability to speak or to express opinions in public well, and not all students are able to engage in the learning process with a student centered approach. Therefore, the learning model with a student centered approach should still be juxtaposed with the considered percentage of lecture method (teacher cantered approach). This research aims to produce an Articulation learning model development oriented towards student activities. The data analysis was referring to the ISMAN model which consists of the stages: input, process, output, feedback, and learning. Based on the validity test to the validator, the Articulation development model is declared suitable for the Economics learning process. The students responses to the utilization of the Articulation development model obtained an average percentage of 88.62% in the category of very effective.

Abstract

Learning model is very important in the teaching and learning process. The use of the proper model will arouse students' enthusiasm and interest in learning. However, the learning model still has weaknesses that affect students cognitive development, hence it is necessary to develop the learning model. The purpose of this research is to develop a market place activity learning model by using a 4-D model consisting of define, design, development in social science subjects at SMP IT Syahruddiniyah Kampar Kiri Hilir. The respondents were 48 students from class VIIIa and VIIId. Based on data presentation and data analysis, the development of the model carried out is valid. The results value obtained from the aspect of model development 81%, the aspect of model effectiveness 98%, and the aspects of model efficiency 90%.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low interest in saving students at Bank Mini SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru, which was only 36% of the total number of students. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the students interest in saving at the Mini Bank SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. This research used descriptive methods. As a result, there is a partial effect of students 'saving knowledge, student saving motivation, student pocket money, and bank services, on students' interest in saving at Bank Mini SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. As well as the joint effect of student saving knowledge, student saving motivation, student pocket money and bank services on student saving interest. It can be concluded that there is a significant and positive influence on student saving knowledge, student saving motivation, student pocket money, and bank services either partially or jointly towards students' interest in saving at Bank Mini SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are a description on how students understand the material presented by the teacher. Learning outcomes are output values ​​in the form of numbers or letters obtained by students after receiving learning material through a test or exam delivered by the teacher. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence, learning behavior, motivation on learning outcomes either simultaneously or partially. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Based on the data analysis and hypothesis testing that has been carried out in this study, the results of the research show that there is an influence of Emotional Intelligence and Learning Behavior on Motivation with a t-count of 5,912 emotional intelligence on motivation and learning behavior with a bear t count of 4.408 thus it can It is known that emotional intelligence and learning behavior affect learning motivation. The conclusions are as follows: 1) The influence of Emotional Intelligence and Learning Behavior on Motivation. 2) The influence of Emotional Intelligence and Learning Behavior, Motivation on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The quality of education is very dependent on teachers who play a role and are the biggest contributors in the world of education. Several competencies that must be possessed by teachers are increasing motivation and learning achievement of students, including pedagogical competence and professional competence. This study aims to identify and analyze the direct and indirect relationship between pedagogic and professional competence of social studies subject teachers in relation to the motivation and learning achievement of students. The total population in this study were 107 teachers of social studies subjects. The sampling technique used Isaac Michael's table with an error rate of 5%, the number of samples in this study were 80 social studies subject teachers. The process of sampling data used random sampling techniques with questionnaires and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive analysis and path analysis. The findings in this study are that there is a positive direct and indirect relationship to the pedagogical and professional competence of social studies subject teachers in relation to the motivation and learning achievement of students. The level of motivation and learning achievement of students is related to pedagogical competence and professional competence. So that it is hoped that the teacher will improve on their pedagogic and professional competence and finally they can increase the motivation and learning achievement of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the quality of education services on perceptions of education costs and student confidence and their impact on student satisfaction at SMA Negeri Ujungbatu. The population of this research is the students of Class XI SMA Negeri Ujungbatu as many as 475 students. The study was conducted with a sample of 217 students taken by simple random sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive quantitative and path analysis. The results showed that there was an influence between the quality of education services on perceptions of education costs and student confidence and the impact on student satisfaction at SMA Negeri Ujungbatu. The meaning is that the better the quality of educational services provided by the school and the more positive students perceive the cost of education, the more students will believe in the education in the school, it will increase the satisfaction felt by students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Smart Indonesia Program in Sosa District. This study used an evaluation research model, namely the Evaluation Countenance Stake model with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all 153 students who received the Smart Indonesia Program for Senior High Schools in Sosa District, and the sample was taken using Isaac Michael's table totaling 105 people with an error rate of 5%. The data were obtained using questionnaires and interviews, then analyzed descriptively by statistical means. The results of this study indicate that in general the implementation of the Smart Indonesia Program in Sosa sub-district has been carried out well. Furthermore, when viewed from several aspects related to the implementation of this program, the antecedent aspect is in the very good category, the Transaction aspect is in the good category, and the output aspect is in the good category. Thus, it can be stated that the implementation of the Smart Indonesia Program in Sosa sub-district has been carried out effectively, however, to be even more effective in implementing this program, it is hoped that the program implementers involved will be more selective in the process of submitting prospective recipients of the Smart Indonesia program, providing socialization to students and parents regarding the distribution of the Indonesia Pinta Program, and forming a monitoring team on the use of funds for the Smart Indonesia Program.

Abstract

Some of the problems with the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster V, Rupat District, such as teachers who have not been able to make the class situation calm when there are students making noise in class, there are still teachers who have not made learning preparations before teaching, lack of teacher initiative in using learning media, methods teacher learning is very monotonous, namely by reading book texts, and there are still many teachers who do not understand and carry out school administration such as teachers who do not have a plan about the learning process according to their grade level. The location where this research was carried out was in Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The population of this study were public elementary school teachers totaling 67 people. The sampling technique used a saturated sample. So the number of samples used in this study were 67 teachers. A jointly significant effect was obtained between the Discipline and Motivation variables on teacher performance of 99.4% with a very high interpretation, because there were still 0.6% determined by other factors that were not part of this study. This effect is illustrated by each increase in one unit of Discipline of 0.217 and an increase of one unit in Motivation of 0.788, it will be followed by an increase in teacher performance of 2.781 one unit.
