Therefore, there are several areas that are border areas between countries, such as North Kalimantan, Indonesia with Sabah Malaysia, and West Kalimantan, Indonesia with Sarawak, Malaysia. Kalimantan Island is known to have high biodiversity, including a variety of bird species, making it very interesting to explore its species diversity. The purpose of this research is to analyze the diversity of bird species and their conservation status found in the border cities of Pontianak, Indonesia, and Sarawak, Malaysia. The method used in this research is the Point Count Method at each predetermined location. All data obtained were analyzed for their diversity index values and the conservation status of each bird species found was determined based on the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). The research results indicate that the bird species diversity index in the border city of Pontianak is 1.795, and Sarawak is 1.70. The research results identified a total of 12 bird species from the two border cities. The bird diversity index value in the border area city of Pontianak is 1.795 and Sarawak is 1.70. The value of the diversity index falls into the moderate category. The conservation status of the 12 bird species found is that one species is classified as Vulnerable (VU) and 11 species are classified as Least Concern (LC).

Abstract

This study investigates the role of leadership in implementing Islamic business ethics at TBS Kelapa Sawit Mega Lestari, focusing on identifying challenges and strategies to overcome them. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving direct observations, semi-structured interviews with 10 key informants (comprising company leaders, field employees, and local farmers), and an analysis of documentation. Findings indicate that the successful implementation of Islamic business ethics—centered on fairness, honesty, transparency, and social responsibility—is heavily dependent on the leadership's ability to educate employees and establish ethically aligned partnerships. Key challenges identified include employees’ limited understanding of Islamic ethical principles and inconsistencies with partner companies not adhering to these values. To address these, the leadership implemented Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) conducted quarterly to enhance awareness and introduced measures to collaborate with partners fully aligned with Islamic ethics. This study concludes that while notable progress has been made, continuous efforts are required to standardize ethical practices and foster a culture aligned with Islamic principles within the palm oil industry.

Abstract

The discussion on jihad and suicide bombings in Indonesia shows a new pattern of jihadists and suicide bombers recruiting young women. Jihad is defined by the ulama as a genuine human effort to worship Allah SWT, but there are some people who misinterpret this meaning. This research is field research using a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at three universities in Aceh, namely Teuku Umar University (UTU) in Meulaboh, Malikus Saleh University Lhokseumawe, and IAIN Gajah Puteh in Takengon. Because this research highlights the knowledge of jihad in young women, the research object is female students at the three universities. Meanwhile, data collection techniques include interviews, documentation and social media observations regarding the phenomenon of knowledge of jihad and suicide bombings. The results of this research show that millennial women are less familiar with the word jihad, however, millennial women have their own reasoning about jihad. In response to the Sibolga bomb, the news was not followed closely, but millennial women did not agree with the teachings of the Islamic religion being conveyed in a violent manner.

Abstract

Islamic education is essentially a process of developing a whole person, emphasizing not only cognitive aspects but also spiritual and social ones. However, contemporary educational approaches often neglect the contemplative and ecological dimensions. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature review to explore the conceptual link between the role of sunlight in the process of photosynthesis and the role of teachers in Islamic Religious Education learning. The results of the study indicate that sunlight, as the primary trigger for photosynthesis, can be interpreted metaphorically as a teacher who illuminates and activates the spiritual potential of students. The intensity, quality, and direction of light represent the teacher's presence, competence, and moral orientation in the educational process. The conceptual implications of this study emphasize the importance of a reflective, ecological, and spiritual Islamic educational paradigm, where teachers function as sources of enlightenment on values and life that integrate science and spirituality in learning practices.
