Abstract

This background is based on the importance of the effective leadership role of madrasah principals in improving teacher performance, particularly at Padangsidimpuan State Islamic Junior High School. Challenges such as lack of teacher motivation, minimal professional training, and suboptimal communication between leaders and staff are factors that hinder performance improvement. Therefore, adaptive and innovative leadership strategies are needed to create a conducive work environment and encourage improvements in the quality of education. Methodology: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies at MTsN 1, MTsN 2, and MTsN Preparatory State Islamic Junior High School 3. Padangsidimpuan. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study showed that the madrasah principal implemented eight main strategies in building effective leadership to improve teacher performance; (1). Coaching strategy, through training, individual mentoring, and Professional Learning Community (PLC). (2). Supervision strategy, based on participatory academic supervision and constructive feedback. (3). Motivation strategy, through verbal appreciation, emotional support, and professional development. (4). Reward strategy in the form of certificates, incentives, and additional task trust. (5). Discipline strengthening strategy with a systemic, restorative approach, and based on a collective work culture. (6). Family gathering strategy to build emotional bonds and social capital in the madrasah environment. (7). Structured academic supervision strategy through a cycle Collaborative planning, observation, and reflection. (8) Lesson Study strategy as a vehicle for developing distributive leadership and improving the quality of learning. Effective leadership of madrasah principals is built through a holistic approach that integrates administrative, pedagogical, and relational aspects. The implemented strategy has proven significant in improving teacher performance through increased competence, motivation, collaboration, and a positive work culture. This study recommends the need to strengthen teacher development programs and leadership training based on Islamic values for the sustainable improvement of educational quality in madrasahs.

Abstract

This research is encouraged by the low interpersonal intelligence of students in the Pancasila Education subject in class IV MIN 1 Padangsidimpuan City. This is based on data from the results of initial observations conducted in class IV of State Islamic Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri) MIN 1 Padangsidimpuan City. The low interpersonal intelligence of students is caused by the application of learning models that are less effective and varied, as well as less student involvement during the learning process, so that the learning atmosphere feels monotonous and boring. The purpose of this study is to improve students' interpersonal intelligence in the Pancasila Education subject through the application of the Problem Based Learning model in class IV MIN 1 Padangsidimpuan City. The average pre-cycle class score is 59.42 and the percentage of completion is 28.57%. Then, in cycle I meeting 1 the average class score is 65.57 with a percentage of completion of 37.14%. In cycle I meeting 2 the average class score is 62.85 with a percentage of completion of 48.57%. Then, in cycle II, meeting 1, the average class score was 67.74 with a completion percentage of 62.85%. In cycle II, meeting 2, the average class score was 76.34 with a completion percentage of 77.14%. This research finished in cycle II, meeting 2 because it had achieved the targeted success indicators.

Abstract

This study analyzes the vitality of Bima language among migrant communities in Balikpapan City through examining language shift and maintenance factors. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the Bima community in RT 09, Sepinggan Raya Sub-district. Data analysis used the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Research findings identified 17 data comprising 6 language shift data (immigration, economic, and education factors) and 11 language maintenance data (family, social interaction, communication intensity, activities, and desire factors). Results indicate that despite language shift occurring in formal domains (35.3%), language maintenance is more dominant (64.7%), particularly in family and intra-ethnic social domains. The geographical concentration of the Bima community (80%) creates a linguistic enclave supporting language vitality. This study concludes that Bima language demonstrates strong linguistic resilience through intergenerational transmission and language loyalty, though requiring systematic intervention for long-term sustainability as a manifestation of local cultural existence. As a recommendation, synergy is needed among families, communities, educational institutions, and local governments through the integration of Bima language into local curriculum content, digital-based language documentation, and the strengthening of community organizations to ensure language transmission to future generations

Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of a mini-compact Wilkinson Power Divider (WPD) operating at 9.3 GHz, with a wide bandwidth of 200 MHz, for the Man-Pack Surveillance Radar (MPSR) application. The design of the WPD was carried out using Advanced Design System (ADS) software with a microstrip feeding technique. The substrate material used in this design was Duroid Roger 5880, which has a thickness (h) of 1.575 mm, dielectric constant (εr) of 2.20, and loss tangent (tan δ) of 0.0009. A WPD was designed, developed, and measured. The simulation results obtained included return loss (S11) -37.50 dB, (S22) -26.59 dB, (S33) -26.09 dB, insertion loss (S21) -3.61 dB and (S31) - 2.55 dB, and isolation (S32) -12.89 dB. Overall, the simulation result parameters worked at a frequency of 9.3 GHz. Furthermore, when the WPD measurement produces a measured return loss of (S11) -28.69 dB, (S22) -28.5 dB, (S33) -29.95 dB, insertion loss (S21) -6.61 dB, and (S31) -7.55 dB, and isolation (S32) -21.89 dB. The dimensions resulting from the realization were 20.5 mm x 20 mm.
