Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of digitalization in learning and school management at SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach to explore in depth the processes, challenges, and impacts of digitalization within the school context. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving the principal, teachers, IT staff, and students as key informants. The findings indicate that digitalization has been systematically implemented through the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning media, and technology-based assessment, which enhance learning flexibility, accessibility, and student engagement. In terms of school management, digitalization has improved administrative efficiency, data integration, and communication transparency. However, several challenges were identified, including limited digital competence among some teachers, variations in students’ digital literacy, and infrastructural constraints such as unstable internet access. Despite these challenges, the overall response of school stakeholders was positive, reflecting a strong institutional commitment to digital transformation. This study concludes that effective digitalization requires not only technological readiness but also continuous capacity building, institutional support, and adaptive organizational culture to optimize its impact on educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal’s visionary leadership in improving the quality of education at SD Negeri Jrebengkembang, Karangdadap District, Pekalongan Regency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, enabling the researcher to gain an in-depth understanding of visionary leadership practices within the real context of an elementary school. The study focused on four main dimensions of visionary leadership: the principal as a formulator of vision, a driver of change and innovation, an effective communicator, and a mentor who fosters teachers’ professionalism. Data were collected through direct observation of leadership activities at school, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, students, and the school committee, as well as document analysis covering the school’s vision and mission statements, work plans, and supervision reports. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014), which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that the principal implemented a coaching-based leadership approach emphasizing teacher empowerment, professional reflection, collaboration with the community, and the reinforcement of a religious and character-driven school culture. This approach effectively enhanced both teacher and student motivation, improved the learning climate, and fostered a shared sense of ownership toward the school’s vision. The study concludes that the integration of visionary leadership and coaching practices can transform schools into adaptive, innovative, and sustainable learning communities, while contributing both theoretically and practically to the advancement of educational management quality in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of information and communication technology (ICT) utilization, community partnerships, and financial management transparency on the quality of school management. This study employed a quantitative, explanatory survey design. The sample consisted of 123 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of independent variables. The results showed that all variables had a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, accounting for 78.1% of the quality of school management, with ICT utilization as the most dominant factor. This study contributes by offering an integrated, digital, collaborative, and accountable governance model to improve the quality of school management. This study suggests that implementing an integrated, digital, collaborative, and accountable governance model can improve the overall effectiveness of school management. Schools are advised to maximize the use of ICT, strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, and establish transparent accountability systems to support faster, better decision-making.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an integrated e-Budgeting and e-Reporting system for managing BOS funds at schools. The study's background highlights the persistent challenges in manual management of BOS funds, including reporting delays, data inconsistencies, and administrative errors. These inefficiencies emphasize the need for a digital solution that integrates budgeting, reporting, and monitoring functions. The research method employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, using needs analysis, system design, prototype development, expert validation, and limited field testing. The results indicate that the system achieved a feasibility score of 3.52/4 (88.8%), categorized as highly feasible with minor revisions. Limited field testing yielded an average score of 3.68/4, with reporting time efficiency improving by approximately 40% and administrative errors reduced through automated validation features. The developed system effectively integrates budgeting and reporting processes into a single platform, enhancing data accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. This study contributes to the field of digital financial governance in education and provides practical insights for implementing integrated digital systems in resource-constrained schools. Future research could explore the system’s long-term impacts and scalability across diverse educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of four pillars of Madrasah-Based Management (MBM)—autonomy, participation, transparency, and accountability—in the governance of MA Raudlatul Ulum Guyangan Pati. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to explore the phenomenon within its natural context. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, document analysis, and examination of institutional communication through official social media platforms. Informants included the principal, teachers, school committee members, and community representatives selected purposively based on their involvement in school management. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that MBM has been implemented through a collective governance model. Institutional autonomy operates through deliberative decision-making under the coordination of the foundation. Community participation emerges as a strong social capital supported by trust and long-standing cultural ties. Transparency is practiced through internal communication forums and public dissemination of activities via digital media, while accountability is reflected in program reporting and institutional documentation. The study reveals that the effectiveness of MBM is influenced not only by formal managerial systems but also by pesantren organizational culture emphasizing trust, collaboration, and moral responsibility. This research contributes to the conceptual development of culturally grounded and digitally adaptive MBM governance to support sustainable quality improvement in Islamic secondary education.
