Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the practice of Mowea Sarapu within the Tolaki Muslim community in Indonesia, focusing on the husband as the primary unit of analysis. In this context, the husband symbolically "hands over" the cheating wife to his lover through the ritual of splitting the sarong and the payment of customary fines, often without formal divorce. The purpose of this study is to examine the conformity of these practices with Islamic norms (marriage, talaq, ishlah, and maqasid al-shari'ah) and to evaluate the normative position of women at the intersection of customs, religion, and state law. Utilizing normative legal research methods with conceptual and comparative approaches, this study draws on a literature review that focuses on the Tolaki/Kalosara tradition, Islamic family law, gender discourse, and Indonesian positive law. The findings suggest that Mowea Sarapu is able to mitigate communal conflict and restore dignity, but it creates a liminal zone for women's legal status, which is vulnerable to livelihood insecurity, hereditary issues, and stigma. The novelty lies in its framing as a reconstructable "ishlah adat." The contribution of research, in the form of socio-theological frameworks (maqasid, legal pluralism, and gender justice), aims to transform it into a model that is women-centered, more equitable, and in line with substantive justice and the rule of law.

Abstract

In Indonesian law, marriage is a physical and spiritual bond between men and women who aim to form a happy family based on trust in God Almighty. The heresy drama series display inner marriage practice, namely the marriage process that emphasizes the spiritual aspect without fulfilling formal requirements in the form of a marriage guardian, witness human beings, and ijab valid acceptance. Research This use method study law normative with approach legislation and analysis draft law marriage in Indonesia. The study results show that inner marriage in the Bidaah series is done through unilateral declaration and claiming spiritual validity, with God as the guardian and angels as witnesses. This is contradictory to Article 1 of the Law of Marriage, which regulates marriage as a physical and spiritual bond that must fulfil the conditions of formal law. In addition, the practice of inner marriage also violates Islamic law, as stated in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), which requires the existence of guardians, witnesses, and clear acceptance of consent to ensure a legitimate marriage. Thus, the practice of inner marriage, as displayed in the series No fulfil terms and conditions marriage as arranged in law positive Indonesia, renders the marriage void ab initio.

Abstract

The aluminum waste management industry has a high level of occupational risk due to exposure to metal dust, extreme temperatures, and the potential for workplace accidents from smelting and processing activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of risk management and occupational safety and health (OHS) systems in aluminum waste management at PT. Buan Mukim Mandiri. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants, including OHS/EHS officers, related staff, and operational workers. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity maintained through source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the company has implemented systematic risk management through hazard identification, preparation of Job Safety Analysis, provision of personal protective equipment, technical controls, and implementation of OHS training and periodic health checks. The main risks faced by workers include exposure to aluminum dust, heat, and the potential for workplace accidents. Although the OHS system has been running quite well, obstacles are still found in the form of a lack of consistency in the use of PPE, differences in levels of safety awareness, and the need to strengthen the OHS culture. This study recommends increased supervision, risk-based technical controls, more specific health programs, and more applicable and sustainable K3 training.

Abstract

In an era marked by modernization, traditional rituals are often dismissed as obsolete or merely symbolic remnants of the past. This study challenges such assumptions by exploring Bersih Desa, a Javanese communal cleansing ritual, as a site of implicit eschatological expression. Far from being a purely cultural celebration, Bersih Desa embodies the community’s deeply held hopes for spiritual continuity and post-mortem well-being. Through an ethnographic study conducted in Sumberandong hamlet, Sumberoto village in South Malang, this research investigates how local conceptions of the afterlife are embedded within ritual practices and communal narratives. Drawing on in-depth interviews with ritual leaders and participants, and employing Creswell’s qualitative analysis framework, the findings reveal a rich interplay between indigenous spiritual cosmologies and formal religious teachings. This syncretic understanding sustains the ritual’s vitality, functioning as a localized eschatology bridging tradition and transcendence. The study contributes to contextual theology and anthropology of religion, offering insight into how rituals like Bersih Desa articulate the hopes and horizons of a living tradition.

Abstract

The production of payung geulis, a traditional craft from Tasikmalaya, is still largely carried out intuitively without considering the efficiency of capital use, raw materials, and working time. This condition often leads artisans to inaccuracies in determining production quantities, resulting in profits that are not yet optimal. This study aims to determine the most profitable production strategy through the application of a linear programming model using the Simplex method. A mathematical modeling approach was employed to describe the resource constraints faced by artisans, including capital limitations, raw material availability, and production capacity. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews, then formulated into decision variables representing the number of large, medium, and small umbrellas to be produced. The objective function was designed to maximize profit, while the constraints were developed based on material consumption, capital allocation, and production duration. The results indicate that the optimal solution is dynamic and depends on the profit per unit of each product type. In the first scenario, with a particular set of constraints, a maximum profit of Rp 6,000,000 is achieved when 400 large umbrellas are produced. In the second scenario, with a different profit structure, the maximum value of Rp 34,800,000 is obtained when production is entirely focused on small umbrellas totaling 2,320 units. These differences demonstrate that linear programming can determine the most efficient production strategy under varying resource conditions. Thus, the Simplex method proves to be an effective decision-support tool for artisans seeking to enhance profitability in a rational and measurable manner.
