Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the publication strategy of SPAN-UM PTKIN on the brand awareness of State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) (Case Study on New Students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung). This study uses a quantitative approach. The data collection technique involves preparing a pre-designed statement arrangement in the form of a questionnaire survey through Google Form using a five-point Likert scale. The population surveyed in this study consisted of all new students in the Class of 2025 at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Meanwhile, the sample in this study consisted of 318 people selected using a non-probabilistic technique. This study tested the hypothesis using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling technique. The results of the study show that the publication strategy of SPAN-UM PTKIN affects PTKIN's brand awareness. The implications of this result are significant for institutions involved in implementing and promoting Islamic higher religious education in Indonesia. It underscores the importance of strengthening digital publications by the SPAN-UM PTKIN committee in collaboration with the university's public relations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan suatu proses sistematis dan objektif yang bertujuan untuk memecahkan masalah dan mencari fakta-fakta yang valid. Dalam konteks pendidikan, penentuan pendekatan penelitian yang tepat menjadi krusial mengingat kompleksitas objek studi yang melibatkan perilaku manusia dan lembaga pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan dan menganalisis berbagai pendekatan khusus yang dapat diterapkan dalam penelitian pendidikan. Pembahasan dalam artikel ini meliputi empat pendekatan utama. Pertama, Pendekatan Kuantitatif yang menekankan pada pengujian hipotesis dan analisis data numerik, mencakup jenis-jenis seperti survei, korelasional, eksperimental, dan kausal komparatif. Kedua, Pendekatan Kualitatif yang berfokus pada pemahaman mendalam dan interpretasi makna dalam latar alamiah, dengan jenis seperti penelitian historis, etnografi, fenomenologi, dan studi kasus. Ketiga, Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D), yang berorientasi pada penciptaan dan pengujian produk atau program baru dalam pendidikan. Keempat, Pendekatan Kombinasi (Mixed Methods), yang mengintegrasikan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan pandangan yang lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji prosedur penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dari perspektif metodologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Data penelitian diperoleh dari berbagai sumber literatur berupa buku metodologi penelitian dan artikel ilmiah yang relevan dengan pembahasan prosedur penelitian lapangan dan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif-kualitatif melalui proses penelaahan, pengorganisasian, dan sintesis konsep-konsep prosedural yang ditemukan dalam literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa prosedur penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif menekankan tahapan penelitian yang sistematis, fleksibel, dan kontekstual, mulai dari penentuan fokus penelitian hingga analisis data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman metodologis yang lebih terstruktur mengenai prosedur penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta menjadi rujukan konseptual bagi mahasiswa dan peneliti pemula.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara konseptual teknik pengumpulan data dalam pendekatan kualitatif serta relevansinya terhadap kualitas dan keabsahan hasil penelitian. Penelitian menggunakan metode kajian kepustakaan (library research) dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah berupa buku metodologi penelitian dan artikel jurnal yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian kualitatif dipahami sebagai prosedur sistematis untuk memperoleh data yang bersifat mendalam, kontekstual, dan bermakna. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa teknik utama yang umum digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif meliputi observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Setiap teknik memiliki karakteristik, kelebihan, dan keterbatasan yang perlu dipertimbangkan sesuai dengan tujuan dan konteks penelitian. Selain itu, penggunaan triangulasi data menjadi strategi penting untuk meningkatkan validitas dan reliabilitas temuan penelitian. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa pemilihan teknik pengumpulan data yang tepat sangat menentukan kualitas analisis dan kredibilitas hasil penelitian kualitatif. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang komprehensif terhadap teknik pengumpulan data menjadi kebutuhan mendasar bagi peneliti dalam menghasilkan penelitian yang ilmiah, sistematis, dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the strategic role of Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic senior high schools) as educational institutions in instilling the values of religious moderation among students in the digital era. Although religious moderation has become an essential component in strengthening national character, the learning process in madrasahs still faces significant challenges, such as the limited availability of interactive learning media and the underutilization of digital technology in education. The objectives of this research are to: (1) analyze the need for a digital-based religious moderation application, (2) design an application model, (3) develop the application, (4) implement the application in learning activities, (5) conduct evaluations, (6) test its validity, and (7) assess the impact of its use. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), using the ADDIE development model, with data collection techniques including interviews, document analysis, questionnaires, observations, and tests. The research subjects were students at MAN 2 and MAN 3 Cianjur Regency. The findings reveal that the needs analysis indicates the necessity for digital learning media that support the development of moderate attitudes. The application was developed in mobile format, with a design flow based on flowcharts and storyboards. Implementation of the application at MAN 2 Cianjur yielded a score of 3.83 (categorized as very good), while at MAN 3 Cianjur it scored 3.66 (categorized as good). The formative evaluation indicates that the application is effective, practical, and has a positive impact. The GO MODERATE application represents a strategic innovation in religious moderation education that is contextual and aligned with the characteristics of the digital generation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of limited face-to-face learning in UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This study is conducted in the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung during the trial phase of limited face-to-face learning from October to December 2021. The data are collected from documentation and questionnaires given to students as the subject of this study. The results showed that limited face-to-face learning is conducted systematically and following the protocols during the New Normal era. This face-to-face learning is attended by 3rd-semester students from all majors. The university has planned and prepared every aspect to support the process of face-to-face learning. The process of teaching is done well and the evaluation on the effect of limited face-to-face on the quality of acquired knowledge showed a maximum score. The main obstacle during the limited face-to-face learning comes from technical aspects such as the provision of facilities and resources for conducting limited face-to-face learning. The results of this study are hoped to be used as consideration for policymakers in conducting limited face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of change management and work culture on the performance of employees at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. It employs an explanatory survey research design with 260 employees selected through simple random sampling. SPSS was utilized for data analysis. The findings indicate that change management significantly influences employee performance during the COVID-19 pandemic, as evidenced by the ttable > tcount (5.604 > 1.969). Work culture also partially impacts employee performance, with ttable > tcount (5.048 > 1.969). The simultaneous effect of change management and work culture is found to strongly affect employee performance (16.667 > 3.030). The study highlights the importance of effective change management and positive work culture in enhancing employee performance. The results could assist policymakers in developing organizational policies that focus on effective change management and work culture to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of admission pathways (SPAN PTKIN, UM PTKIN, and Independent) on students' academic performance at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung for the 2022 and 2023 cohorts. The research evaluates academic indicators such as GPA, credits taken, participation in seminars, and organisational involvement. Using a mixed-method design, quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 560 students. Data were analysed with ANOVA and post hoc Games-Howell tests, while qualitative data explored students’ perceptions. Results indicate no significant differences in GPA, credits taken, seminar participation, or organisational involvement among students from different admission pathways. However, significant differences were found in the intensity of the study between UM-PTKIN and independent pathways. These findings suggest that UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung has successfully implemented an inclusive education system, ensuring equal opportunities for all students regardless of their admission pathway. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of admission pathways on student performance at PTKIN, contributing to the discourse on higher education inclusivity in Indonesia.
