Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contextuality between the Qur'an and science about the process of human creation. This study uses a qualitative method through a literature study, using a reproductive health theory approach and maudhu'i interpretation. The results and discussion of this study indicate that the process of human creation after Adam was through reproduction, among the phases are nuftah, 'alaqah, mudghah, bone formation, muscle formation, then perfected by blowing the spirit, until it becomes the best form. Meanwhile, in science, according to Sadler, the phases are gametogonesis, the process of ovulation to implantation, then the bilaminar gem disc, the embryonic period, to the time of delivery. According to Dudek, they are preferilization, weekly period, embryonic period, and organogenesis. This study concludes that the process of human creation in the Qur'an is in accordance with the findings of modern scientists today. This study recommends that the verses of science be revealed using a book of commentaries with a scientific style.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the core values in strategic management systems. This research method is qualitative through literature study with a living hadith approach which is a case study in Islamic higher education. The results and discussion of this research are in the form of a vision, mission, goals, strategic objectives, and core values of Islamic higher education institutions. These are substantially understood as a manifestation of the management of the Prophet, as a noble person with al-Qur'an morals. This study concludes that the relevant living hadith approach is used for research on the core values of strategic management systems that are initiated by institutions in their efforts to achieve strategic goals. The recommendation of this research is the importance of developing hadith studies and developing value-based institutions as a reference for decision making.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the scientific publication experience of lecturers of Civil Servant Candidates in 2025 at the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This study uses a mixed method approach. The results and discussion show that 13 lecturers of Civil Servant Candidates have published 68 scientific articles with a distribution of 17 articles in national journals, 15 articles in Conference series, 2 articles in Sinta 1 indexed Scopus, 6 articles in Sinta 2, 9 articles in Sinta 3, 12 articles in Sinta 4, 2 articles in Sinta 5, 2 articles in international journals with global reputation indexed Scopus, and 3 articles in proceedings indexed Scopus. This experience illustrates that lecturers of Civil Servant Candidates are a potential resource for strengthening scientific publications in higher education, although their experience is uneven. This study concludes that lecturers of Civil Servant Candidates will be more productive in scientific publications through the formation of writing groups with a strategy of sharing experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perspectives of sociologists and hadith scholars on the practice of interfaith marriage in Indonesia, as well as to evaluate the social and religious impacts of the interaction between these two perspectives within the context of a Muslim society that is plural yet tends to be legally conservative in religious matters. This research is significant because interfaith marriage frequently generates dissonance between the constitutional rights of citizens and shar‘i norms, while also serving as a site of value negotiation amid the increasing intensity of interreligious interactions. The method employed is descriptive qualitative research using a sociology of hadith approach, combining an analysis of both classical and contemporary hadith literature with theories of the sociology of religion. Data were collected through a literature review encompassing hadith collections, exegetical and jurisprudential works of scholars, academic publications, as well as legal and policy reports. Data analysis was conducted using thematic content analysis, hermeneutics, and comparative analysis in order to identify points of convergence and divergence between sociological and normative-hadith perspectives. The findings reveal that the sociological perspective positions interfaith marriage as a complex social phenomenon—closely related to social integration, identity negotiation, and value conflicts—whereas the hadith perspective emphasizes the preservation of faith, household stability, and protection of lineage, with only limited and conditional space for permissibility. The interaction between these perspectives produces multidimensional effects, ranging from social resistance and the marginalization of couples to the creation of interfaith dialogue spaces within inclusive urban communities. The implications of this research lie in the need for policies that bridge religious norms and positive law, including through interfaith dialogue, public education, and pastoral guidance for interfaith families. The originality of this study lies in its integration of sociological analysis with hadith studies to contextualize the issue of interfaith marriage, offering an analytical framework that connects religious texts with socio-historical dynamics, and providing practical contributions for policy development in plural societies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the relationship between Islam and local culture in the Kawin Cai tradition of the Sundanese people. This research method  is a  field research by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is a mutually supportive correlation between Islam and local culture. The pattern of correlation between Islam and local culture can be seen from the implementation of the Kawin Cai tradition in the Jalaksana District community which contains Islamic values. Activities based on religious values in the Kawin Cai tradition include praying together, eating together and sharing among human beings. These activities have proven the correlation between Islam and local culture in Tatar Sunda, especially in Jalaksana District, Kuningan Regency. This study contributes to realizing harmony in society. It is hoped that the community will understand more and more that the implementation of local traditions is not always associated with shirk, but there is religious value in it. Such comprehension makes a significant contribution to the pluralistic society of Indonesia.

Abstract

Students interested in Islamic scholarship face tremendous challenges in achieving scientific publications. Based on these backgrounds and problems, this study aims to discuss the success of the management of scientific publications of students interested in Islamic scholarship in Islamic higher education in Indonesia. This research applies a qualitative type with a participatory method and a SOAR analysis approach. The results and discussion of this study indicate that students who are interested in Islamic scholarship experience effectiveness in publication in scientific journals through strategic planning, governance, and strengthening the capacity of writing scientific articles. This study concludes that good management includes participation based on stakeholder aspirations, strengthening of writing trainer resources, professionalism, curriculum objectives, and support systems, so that good achievements are produced as shown by students interested in Islamic scholarship in facing the challenges of publishing articles in scientific journals. This study recommends the urgency of managing scientific publications more adequately for students interested in Islamic scholarship by administrators of Islamic higher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

General education at Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKI) plays an important role in developing students’ critical thinking skills so they can analyze religious and social issues reflectively and contextually. However, learning practices in PTKI are still dominated by teacher-centered approaches and low cognitive achievement, which limits the development of analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Meanwhile, studies show that integrating digital media, particularly video, can improve conceptual understanding, motivation, and cognitive engagement, yet a digital video-based meaningful learning model specifically designed for the PTKI context remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to formulate a Digital Video-Based Meaningful Learning Model (MPBBVD) to enhance students’ critical thinking skills. This research employed a literature review method by analyzing books, scientific articles, research reports, and digital sources related to meaningful learning, constructivism, multimedia learning, digital video use, and critical thinking development. Data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively to identify the theoretical foundations, learning syntax, and design principles of the model. The findings indicate that MPBBVD integrates Ausubel’s Meaningful Learning theory, constructivist perspectives from Piaget, Vygotsky, and Bruner, Mayer’s Multimedia Learning theory, and the critical thinking framework of Facione and Ennis. The model uses digital video as the main learning medium and applies the ACTIVE stages (Attend, Connect, Think, Interpret, Verify, Evaluate) to promote contextual and interactive learning. Integrating pre-, during-, and post-video activities supports knowledge construction, reduces cognitive load, and increases student engagement, contributing theoretically and practically to improving critical thinking in PTKI in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that contribute to students becoming skilled at writing scientific articles. This study used a qualitative approach using the Participatory Action Research method. The results and discussion indicate that enthusiasm is a key factor in students becoming skilled at writing scientific articles. When theorized, enthusiasm is understood not only from a psychological perspective, but also from a philosophical perspective as a principle, and even as a discipline from a management perspective. The conclusion of this study is that students will certainly be trained in article writing skills to the point of productive publication in scientific journals if enthusiasm is the primary factor. It is not merely a desire without being accompanied by training to improve skills. This study encourages student academics to practice writing scientific articles enthusiastically until they truly become skilled resources.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan aqiqah merupakan sunnah yang sangat dianjurkan untuk keluarga muslim yang mendapat anugerah bayi baru lahir. Namun, pelaksanaan aqiqah di tengah pandemic Covid-19 mensyaratkan kepatuhan terhadap protokol kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendesain pelaksanaan sunnah aqiqah pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kualitatif melalui studi pustaka dan studi lapangan dengan pendekatan design thinking. Hasil dan pembahasan penelitian ini meliputi desain ruang pelaksanaan aqiqah, pemaknaan esensi kandungan hadis aqiqah sejalan dengan pencegahan wabah menular, dan perancangan ritual aqiqah sesuai harapan pasangan keluarga muslim yang dianugerahi bayi baru lahir dengan menerapkan tatanan kehidupan baru tanpa menghilangkan hikmah hukum Islam sebagai kepatuhan terhadap protokol kesehatan Covid-19. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa prototipe pelaksanaan aqiqah pada dasarnya dapat dirancang dengan tuntutan keadaan baru tetapi tidak bertentangan dengan kaidah hukum Islam. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah, pendekatan baru design thinking perlu mendapat sentuhan pengembangan dalam keilmuan Islam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas solusi pencegahan perceraian yang terus meningkat akibat dampak pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis kualitatif yang menerapkan studi pustaka literatur  dengan menerapkan pendekatan hukum Islam dan perundang-udangan yang berlaku di Indonesia. Hasil dan pembahasan penelitian ini mencakup fenomena perceraian pada masa pandemi Covid-19, perceraian dalam hukum Islam dan perundang-undangan di Indonesia dan solusi pencegahan perceraian akibat dampak Covid-19. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa hukum Islam dan perundang-undangan di Indonesia memiliki jalan terbaik dalam menghadapi setiap permasalahan umatnya, termasuk permasalahan yang muncul dalam rumah tangga terlebih karena dampak Covid-19 yang tidak bisa dicari solusi kecuali perceraian. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan upaya-upaya pencegahan perceraian di masa pandemi Covid-19 melalui peran pemerintah, tokoh agama, masyarakat, keluarga hingga dengan kesadaran sendiri.
