Abstract

The era of digital disruption has brought significant changes to various aspects of business, particularly in business communication practices. The development of digital technology is driving a shift from conventional communication to faster, more interactive, and open digital-based communication. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of business communication in the era of digital disruption and identify the various challenges faced by organizations. The method used is a qualitative approach with desk research, through data collection from various sources such as scientific journals, books, and previous research. The results show that digital technology plays a significant role in increasing the effectiveness of business communication through the speed of information, the integration of various communication channels, and the ability to personalize messages. However, several challenges remain, including high information flow, the risk of miscommunication, the rapid spread of negative information, and changes in consumer behavior that are increasingly active and critical. Therefore, an adaptive, integrated, and technology-based business communication strategy is needed so that organizations can face challenges and capitalize on opportunities in the era of digital disruption.

Abstract

Tafsir of the Qur'an from classical to contemporary periods has developed in the manhaj (method) used to reveal the meaning of revelation. The problem discussed in this research is the difference in manhaj tafsir from classical to contemporary, as well as the influence of changes in methods on understanding of the Qur'an. The purpose of this research is to analyze the development of manhaj tafsir, both tahlili (analytical) and with al-ray (rational) approach, as well as to compare the works of tafsir that reflect each of these methods. The method used in this research is a literature review with an analytical descriptive approach, by examining several works of tafsir such as Jami' al-Bayan fi Tafsir al-Qur'an by al-Thabari, Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim by Ibn Katsir, Al-Kasysyaf by Az-Zamakhshari, Tafsir al-Manar by Abduh and Rashid Ridha, as well as contemporary tafsir such as Tafsir Al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. The results show that the change in manhaj tafsir, from the use of history (bi al-ma'tsur) to the rational approach (al-ray), reflects the dynamics of Islamic thought that continues to develop, with different emphasis on social, intellectual, and methodological contexts..

Abstract

Corruption is a social phenomenon that not only causes material losses but also reflects moral and ethical deviations within the economic system. From the perspective of Islamic economics, corruption is considered a serious violation of Sharia values that uphold justice (‘adl), trustworthiness (amanah), honesty (ṣidq), and public welfare (maṣlaḥah). This study aims to analyze corruption as a deviation from Islamic economic values through the lens of Sharia ethics. The research employs a library-based study by examining primary and secondary sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, classical Islamic jurisprudence texts, and relevant contemporary academic literature. The findings indicate that corrupt practices fundamentally contradict the core principles of Islamic economics, particularly the prohibitions of ghulul (embezzlement), risywah (bribery), and betrayal of trust (khianat), while also undermining the objectives of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah), especially the protection of wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl) and social justice. From the perspective of Sharia ethics, corruption is not merely a legal violation but represents a moral and spiritual failure of both individuals and institutions. Therefore, combating corruption within an Islamic economic framework requires a comprehensive approach that integrates ethical reinforcement, personal integrity, and institutional reform grounded in Sharia principles...

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia operates within a highly plural society and continues to adapt to rapid social change. Despite its traditional roots, pesantren and madrasah remain central to shaping moral formation, communal resilience, and inclusive religious identity. This study examines how Islamic education contributes to social transformation and what socio-theological values emerge from faith-based practice. Using qualitative library research and thematic analysis of recent peer-reviewed literature, the study integrates sociological perspectives with theological insights to interpret how institutions embed Qur’anic–Hadith principles in educational life. Findings show that pesantren safeguard tradition while cultivating moderation, solidarity, and moral literacy, whereas madrasah combine Islamic studies with modern sciences to strengthen critical thinking and civic responsibility. The study’s originality lies in its interdisciplinary socio-theological approach, revealing that spiritual values such as ʿadl, raḥmah, ukhūwah, and taʿāwun shape not only personal ethics but also social behavior, interfaith engagement, and ecological consciousness. These insights highlight Islamic education’s capacity to negotiate globalization, technology, and secular pressures without diminishing theological depth. The research implies the need for value-based curricula, leadership development, enhanced digital literacy, and expanded interfaith initiatives to sustain a moderate and future-oriented model of Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of leadership and compensation on employee job satisfaction at PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk, Area IV Palembang, both partially and simultaneously, within the framework of Sharia management. A quantitative approach was employed using a descriptive-associative method, with a saturated sample of all 53 employees. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and preliminary interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The findings indicate that both leadership and compensation have a significant and positive impact on job satisfaction, whether assessed individually or jointly. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.810) suggests that 81% of the variance in job satisfaction is explained by these two variables, with compensation exerting a stronger influence than leadership. These results are consistent with the Path-Goal Theory, Equity Theory, and Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory. From the perspective of Sharia management, trustworthy leadership and fair, transparent compensation embody the principles of maqashid sharia, which emphasize justice, employee welfare, and dignity. This study highlights the effectiveness of ethically and spiritually grounded human resource practices in enhancing job satisfaction and fostering organizational well-being.

Abstract

This research examines the evolution of sharia management from classical Muslim thought to its contemporary application within the modern global economy. The study specifically explores the foundational contributions of classical Muslim scholars to management theory and analyzes the challenges faced by sharia management in responding to increasingly complex economic systems. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were collected through an extensive literature review and in-depth interviews with scholars and practitioners in the field of sharia management. The findings reveal that sharia management has undergone significant transformation, evolving from normative and value-based economic practices in the classical period into more structured, adaptive, and innovative management frameworks in the modern era. Classical Muslim thinkers such as Ibn Khaldun, Al-Farabi, and Al-Ghazali provided enduring theoretical foundations emphasizing ethical governance, justice, accountability, and social welfare, which remain highly relevant in contemporary management discourse. Furthermore, the study identifies key modern challenges, including the integration of sharia management principles within conventional economic systems and the adaptation to emerging financial technologies such as fintech and blockchain. These developments necessitate continuous reinterpretation and institutional adjustment to ensure compliance with sharia principles while maintaining global competitiveness. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the relevance and adaptability of sharia management in the context of the modern global economy and offers a conceptual foundation for future studies in Islamic management and economic governance

Abstract

The ijarah contract is one of the main instruments in the Islamic banking system, functioning as a financing mechanism based on the utilization of assets or services without involving elements of usury (riba). This contract has a strong normative basis in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah) and plays a crucial role in supporting the financial performance and operational stability of Islamic banks. However, the implementation of the ijarah contract in Indonesia still faces various challenges, including differences in interpretation between classical fiqh concepts and modern banking operational practices, variations in implementation among Islamic financial institutions, and limited customer understanding of the contract's substance. Furthermore, most previous studies tend to emphasize quantitative and financial aspects, thus underexploring the philosophical dimensions, ethical values, and substantive objectives of sharia inherent in the ijarah contract. This study aims to analyze the philosophy, social function, and implementation of the ijarah contract in Islamic banking practices in Indonesia, emphasizing the alignment between normative concepts and operational realities. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical approach through literature review, documentation, limited observation, and in-depth interviews. The research results show that the ijarah contract is regulatory and complies with the DSN-MUI fatwa and OJK regulations and provides significant economic and social contributions. However, gaps remain in philosophical understanding and consistent implementation, particularly in the practice of ijarah muntahiyah bit tamlik (IMBT). Therefore, strengthening the values of maqasid sharia and harmonizing practices are necessary.
