Abstract

Development of Information Technology in the field of education today can not be avoided. In the learning process is now not limited to space and time with the presence of information technology. To realize quality of learning, information technology is one aspect of classroom management. Many strategies are offered in classroom management To realize learning objectives. E-learning is a solution in the management of information technology-based classes are much used in various educational institutions. With many advantages, e-learning supports virtual-based learning process.

Abstract

Abstract: The development of a management information system is one of the efforts that can be made to improve the quality of public services, both in general and in certain sectors, for example education, especially at times like this (COVID-19 pandemic), where community social activities switch to using assistance. technology. This study aims to develop an existing educational service in the Faculty of Education, State University of Surabaya to facilitate students in accessing all the needs regarding correspondence and is called the Academic Service Information System of the Faculty of Education, Unesa. This research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method, by applying nine of the ten steps proposed by Borg and Gall. The result of this research is that E - Service Faculty of Education Science is suitable or near perfect for use, with the result of each stage are as follows: (1) in the first testing phase (Preliminary Field Testing), the presentage of yield exceeds 30% in each category; (2) in the second testing phase, several obstacles were found, but can be resolved in the next stage; (3) in the last testing phase (Operational Product Testing), the presentage of yield exceeds 70% in each category, this mean that E – Layanan development is very useful. Also, with the existing of E – Layanan, academic service activities are greatly helped, especially on this Covid – 19 pandemic period. Keywords: Education; Management information system; public services. Abstrak: Pengembangan sistem informasi manajemen merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik, baik secara umum maupun pada sektor – sektor tertentu, misalnya pendidikan, terutama pada saat seperti ini (pandemi covid - 19), di mana kegiatan sosial masyarakat beralih menggunakan bantuan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan suatu layanan pendidikan yang ada di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Surabaya untuk memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mengakses segala kebutuhan mengenai surat menyurat dan dinamakan dengan sistem informasi layanan akademik Fakultas Imu Pendidikan Unesa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D), dengan menerapkan sembilan dari sepuluh langkah yang dikemukakan oleh Borg and Gall. Hasil penelitian ini adalah E – Layanan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan sesuai atau mendekati sempurna untuk digunakan, dengan hasil pada masing – masing tahap adalah sebagai berikut: (1) pada tahap pengujian awal (Preliminary Field Testing) mendapatkan presentase hasil melebihi 30% pada setiap kategorinya; (2) pada tahap pengujian yang kedua ditemukan beberapa hambatan tetapi dapat terselesaikan pada tahap selanjutnya; (3) pada tahap pengujian yang terakhir (Operational Product Testing) mendapat presentase hasil melebihi 70% pada masing – masing kategorinya, ini berarti bahwa pengembangan E – Layanan sangat berguna. Dengan adanya E – Layanan juga aktivitas layanan akademik sangat terbantu terutama pada pasa pandemi Covid – 19 seperti saat ini. Kata kunci: Pendidikan; Sistem Informasi Management; Layanan Publik.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi semakin cepat dari beberapa dekade terakhir. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi ini tentunya membawa pengaruh pada beberapa sektor kehidupan manusia, temasuk pendidikan. Saat ini sekolah juga dintuntut untuk dapat memberikan outcome (lulusan) yang berkualitas layaknya perusahaan yang harus bisa mengasilkan produk yang berkualitas serta sekolah juga dituntut untuk menyediakan sarana dan prasaran yang komplit sesuai dengan standar nasional, dimana di dalamnya juga termasuk memanfaatkan perkembangan tekonologi informasi dan komunikasi yang semakin pesat. Apabila digunakan secara bijak dan juga menggunakan metode yang tepat, perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan kulaitas dan juga memperluas jangkauan pendidikan. Bentuk nyata dari perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang sangat membantu manusia dalam menjalankan tugasnya adalah internet. Internet merupakan hasil dari inovasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang dibuat dengan tujuan sebagai media komunikasi global menggunakan bantuan jaringan komputer. Internet saat ini telah berkembang menjadi media edukasi yang digunakan hampir seluruh lembaga pendidikan di dunia, karena dengan menggunakan internet informasi terkait pendidikan dapat disampaikan lebih cepat serta kualitas informasi yang cenderung sangat akurat. Internet juga dimanfaatkan untuk pengelolaan sistem informasi dan komunikasi pada sekolah yang menggunakan teknologi dalam proses penyediaan informasi dan juga penyimpanan data sekolah. Informasi yang disediakan atau disebarluaskan dengan menggunakan bantuan internet biasanya ditampilkan melalui website. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan website sekolah berbasis wordpress pada Yayasan Al Aziz menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) atau penelitian dan pengembangan (Gall, Gall, & Borg, 2003). Hasil dari pengembangan wesite sekolah berbasis wordpress pada Yayasan Al Aziz ini berada pada kategori praktis, dimana ini berarti bawa website sekolah yang telah dikembangakan siap untuk digunakan, dengan hasil pada masing – masing tahap adalah sebagai berikut: (1) pada uji coba tahap awal (Preliminary Field Testing) mendapatkan hasil lebih dari 70% pada masing – masing kategorinya, kemudian pada tahap uji coba kedua ahli menemukan beberapa masalah dan kekurangan tetapi dapat diatasi pada tahap perbaikan selanjutnya, dan pada pahap uji coba terakhir (Operational Product Testing) memperoleh prentase 75% pada setiap kategorinya.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe and to analyze the implementation of School-Based Management through entrepreneurship strategy. Besides to describe the implementation of entrepreneurship activities, this study is also to analyze the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of the implementation of entrepreneurship programs in SMP Muhammadiyah Surabaya. This study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation study. The data were analyzed by using data condensation, data presentation, and data verification. Checking the validity of the data were done by credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of this study are: (1) The implementation of SBM in SMP Muhammadiyah Surabaya was done through the urban farming entrepreneurship strategy by using classroom learning methods and outside classroom learning. The learning process was done by multilevel concept starting from seventh grader students to ninth grader students. Besides urban farming entrepreneurship, there is also IPM entrepreneurship. (2) The supporting factors of SBM implementation through entrepreneurship strategy are cooperation conducted by the school and outside school and the activeness between IPM members and other students in carrying out entrepreneurship activities in the school. (3) The inhibiting factors of SBM implementation through entrepreneurship strategy Surabaya are that there has not been a meeting with students’ parents to discuss the implementation of entrepreneurship programs and there is no substitute teacher to teach entrepreneurship subject in order to make the learning is more effective.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of library automation systems, the role of librarians, benefits, and constraints of the implementation of library automation systems at the Airlangga University Library Surabaya. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study research design. The technique of collecting data uses interviews, observation and documentation studies. The data analysis technique in this study uses an interactive model that continues continuously to completion. Data analysis activities include: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing / verification. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of the library automation system was carried out through several stages, namely: the software installation process, the procurement process, cataloging, data input processes, and circulation process. (2) the role of librarians in the implementation of library automation systems provides user education to users, filtering and presenting information that fits the needs of users and can be accounted, and helps users in searching library materials. (3) the benefits of implementing the library automation system include improving service quality, facilitating the data input process, streamlining energy and time, simplifying the checking process, improving the image or quality of libraries and universities, enhancing cooperative relationships. (4) the constraints on the implementation of the library automation system are the occurrence of a power outage, the occurrence of errors when inputting data, the incompatibility of information on book data on the system. Efforts to overcome the obstacles to the implementation of the library automation system are to coordinate with the Information Technology and Directorate of Information Systems, provide UPS and generator tools, and cross check data to minimize data input errors.

Abstract

The number of patients who died being infected the Covid-19 virus increases significantly. The data shows that currently in Ponorogo there are: 19739 ODR; 198 OTG; 424 ODP; and 24 CONFIRMED. One of the efforts to prevent spread of the Covid-19 virus is by maintaining people health or maintaining body immunity. Sinom is a traditional herbal drink that has been widely known and used by the community to cure minor ailments, prevent disease, and maintain endurance and body health. This Community Service Program (PKM) is to help the government in efforts to prevent spread of the Covid-19 Virus by improving public health through consumption of Sinom Fresh Herbal Drink which is distributed to people affected by Covid-19 in the Ponorogo Region. The method used in this program is through sinom distribution, independent empowerment of sinom production through video tutorials and empowerment of youth organizations in the sinom distribution process. The PKM outputs include: (1) 200 bottles (@ 350ml) Sinom Herbal Drink and (2) Distribution of Sinom Herbal Drink, Video Tutorials and PIRT Handbooks to people affected Covid-19 by empowering Karang Taruna Desa Poko, Jambon District, Ponorogo region

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has increasingly spread throughout the world, so the World Health Organization (WHO) has increased the status of world health which was previously endemic to pandemic. In Indonesia, this virus has spread in all provinces. Based on the last updated data (28 May 2020), Surabaya ranks second and tends to continue to rise until now. This data shows that the spread of the virus is very massive and needs to be stopped by following the WHO protocol. The government makes efforts such as physical distancing, PSBB and other efforts. Restrictions on community activities have a major impact including in the field of education. There needs to be a solution in dealing with the spread of the Covid 19 virus in this new normal period. Schools as a center of culture are able to move people in general to care more about others and themselves through "needing to use masks". Implementation methods are tailored to the needs and objectives to be achieved in this activity. PKM activities are carried out through training on making quotes masks as an educational medium for schools and the surrounding community. The results achieved in Community Service activities are partner schools, in this case SMP 6 Ekselent Hang Tuah Surabaya, have the skills to understand the concept of a healthy school by understanding the health of oneself and others referring to WHO standards with the first activity in community activities is in service learning

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan pemahaman pengelola pendidikan terhadap penyusunan program rencana pengembangan sekolah berdasarkan hasil riset. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan (in job) dan pendampingan (on job) sejumlah 32 jam untuk Kepala Sekolah dan Tim Pengembangan Sekolah. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu kegiatan pelatihan berjalan lancar dan kondusif serta memberikan manfaat bagi mitra, khususnya dalam pemanfaatan hasil riset dalam penyusunan program rencana pengembangan sekolah.
