Abstract

A goal of this research is to set up learning media suitable for folktales like Google Sites did. the fifth grader students at SDN Tanggungan will be better at telling stories after reading this material. In this study, we attempt to solve the lack of digital media that Merdeka Curriculum-Framework speaking poses to students' skills and endeavours. This paper reports on a study using expert validation as well as individual (3 students), small-group (6 students) and large-group (25 students) trials. The ADDIE model was followed, which guided each stage of media development: needs assessment, design, development or production of materials, installation and use, and evaluation. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires and student practicality questionnaires. The medium scored 92% total on expert validation, with its contents, design and media elements all receiving excellent evaluations. Again, the practicality test showed a very high score of 97%, proving that students liked and found it useful in learning storytelling. They also felt the media helped them to understand the proper procedures greatly; most of them were able to tell their own stories after some guidance from training programs supported through use of this technology. These findings are consistent with previous studies that indicate Google Sites are very well received by users at an institute. The results offer new evidence of the usefulness and applicability to oral storytelling—an area heretofore underutilized within Indonesian language education. In conclusion, the Google Sites-based interactive multimedia materials developed in this investigation are very accessible and adaptable to the Merdeka Curriculum, helping nur ture creativity, communications competencies and digital know-how in primary school children.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a Gamified Project-Based Learning (PjBL) strategy in enhancing students’ collaboration and creativity skills at SMP Al-Islam Krian Sidoarjo. Although PjBL has been widely implemented to foster 21st-century competencies, challenges remain in sustaining student motivation and engagement during project activities. Gamification through point systems, badges, levels, rewards, and leaderboards offers a potential solution by integrating game elements that stimulate student participation and intrinsic motivation. This study employed a mixed-methods approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. A total of 35 respondents were divided into two groups: an experimental group receiving gamified PjBL and a control group receiving conventional PjBL. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments (using a Likert scale of 1–5), observation sheets, student interviews, and rubric-based project assessments. The findings demonstrate a significant increase in collaboration and creativity among students in the experimental group. Quantitative results reveal large effect sizes for both collaboration (d = 1.42) and creativity (d = 1.57), with p 0.001. In contrast, the control group showed only marginal improvements. Qualitative evidence from observations and interviews further indicates heightened engagement, stronger team communication, and increased idea generation among students exposed to gamified PjBL. The study contributes theoretically by enriching the discourse on the integration of gamification in PjBL environments and practically by offering empirical insights for secondary schools seeking to develop more interactive, student-centered pedagogical strategies. The findings underscore the potential of gamified PjBL as a transformative instructional model for cultivating essential 21st-century skills in Indonesian middle schools.

Abstract

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) plays a crucial role in preparing aviation cadets to comprehend technical documents and operate safely in global contexts. This study explores how perceived task characteristics—task relevance, benefit, and challenge—affect cadets' motivation in ESP reading tasks. Utilizing a quantitative-confirmatory design, data were collected from 95 cadets and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that among the three constructs, only task challenge significantly predicted cadet motivation and confidence in reading. Task relevance and benefit, while positively perceived, did not produce statistically significant effects. The results highlight the central role of task difficulty in fostering engagement and persistence among cadets. The validated model underscores the importance of designing reading tasks that are optimally challenging to enhance motivation in high-stakes educational environments. This study provides empirical grounding for curriculum innovation in aviation English and contributes to the theoretical understanding of motivational dynamics in ESP contexts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Education plays a strategic role in fostering social cohesion and global synergy through the strengthening of intercultural competencies, dialogue, and cross-community collaboration. However, in practice, challenges remain, including unequal access, low community participation, and the suboptimal integration of local cultural values in learning processes. These conditions may hinder the development of global literacy and sustainable community engagement. This community service program aims to enhance the synergy between education, culture, and society through a participatory approach involving schools, teachers, students, and the wider community. The intervention was implemented through joint needs identification, collaborative planning, culturally based activities (such as outreach sessions, knowledge-sharing forums, and teacher–student collaboration), teacher capacity building, and participatory evaluation. The results indicate an increase in teachers’ and participants’ understanding of global literacy and local cultural values, improved collaborative skills among teachers and university students, and higher active participation of the school community in learning activities. Measurable indicators of achievement include active engagement throughout all program sessions, the establishment of a sustainable collaboration model between the university and the partner school, and the development of a follow-up action plan for program continuation at At-Toyyibah School. This program produces outputs in the form of a locally based collaborative education model, enhanced teacher capacity in global literacy-based learning, and strengthened multi-stakeholder networks that support program sustainability. Overall, the activities contribute to strengthening the synergy between education, culture, and community in promoting inclusive and sustainable global citizenship. Abstract

Indonesia’s low ranking in human resource competitiveness among ASEAN countries highlights the urgency to improve educational quality through effective teacher competency development, particularly in technology integration. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of teachers' technological competence development in improving students' learning achievement at Cita Hati schools in Surabaya using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach. The research was conducted across three school levels: elementary, junior high, and senior high, under the Cita Hati Foundation, using secondary data from 2019 to 2023. Inputs included teacher training, digital infrastructure, and technology investment, while outputs were measured by student achievement. The DEA Constant Returns to Scale (CRS) model was used, with data processed through Python. The results show that the elementary and senior high schools consistently achieved maximum efficiency (1.0), while the junior high school demonstrated inefficiency, particularly from 2021 to 2023, with scores exceeding 1.0. However, a gradual improvement in efficiency was observed toward 2023. Forecasts indicate potential efficiency improvement for junior high, though uncertainty remains. Conclusion: the study implies that strategic teacher development and targeted investment can improve educational outcomes. The findings contribute to institutional decision-making and policy formulation regarding technology-based teacher development programs.
