The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of cooperative learning model two stay two stray can increase student’s learning outcome in English learning. Data collection techniques used in this study consists of observation, tests and questionnaires. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle is carried out two meetings. In preliminary tests, the average of learning outcome in pre-test is was 53, 73, the first cycle was 65.4 and in the second cycle was 77.93. From these results it can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning model two stay two stray can increase student’s learning outcome in English learning.

Teachers have an essential role in preparing human resources that can compete with the global community. Therefore, teachers are always required to develop their abilities and professionalism. One way to build their ability to provide effective learning to students is to carry out classroom action research. Most of the teachers in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency still had a lack of understanding in carrying out classroom action research (CAR). Besides, there is a lack of knowledge about the writing of CAR reports and the production of scientific articles. The aim of this service is to provide online-based training to improve the understanding of CAR and scientific articles in Junior High School Teacher Group in Pangkajene and Islands Regency. A personal approach in the training process was carried out so that all teachers are expected to be able to compile proposals, reports, and scientific articles from the CAR report without any constraints. Lecture, discussion and mentoring methods are used in this training. From the implementation of this training, it was found that teachers got enormous benefits from attending this training. Teachers' understanding of CAR increased by 41%. In addition, the participants have also been able to compile a CAR proposal as well. This training can improve teacher competence and support teacher professionalism in providing effective learning.

Abstract. This study used a survey approach which aims to examine how the intensity of the use of local language in high school students.  Participants were high school students who were selected purposively by considering gender (50% boys and 50% girls) and the area of residence (50% suburban area and 50% rural area).  The research instrument used was in the form of 3 survey questions consisting of 1) how often to use local languages in schools, 2) how often to use local languages in the community, and 3) how often to use local languages in the family. The data collection process is carried out online using the google form platform.  The verified data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and inferential statistics using the SPSS 26 application. Finding show that 1) students in urban areas use local languages less than students in rural area, 2) students use more local languages in the home environment than in the school environment and social environment, 3) there is no significant difference in the use of local languages between male students and female students. It can  be concluded that gender is not a factor affecting language attitudes for the context of using local languages.

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of German grammar textbook using linguistic approaches in increasing students’ academic motivation, learning outcome, and linguistic understanding. This German grammar textbook is composed for Indonesian learners. This study employed experimental approach by involving two experimental groups without control group. The total research participants were 45 Indonesian students in the second semester of the German language education department divided into two classes. There were three variables observed in this study. Students’ learning outcome was measured by a grammar test developed by the researchers, while students’ academic motivation was measured using a scale developed by Vallerand et al. (1992) consisting of 28 items that had been translated into Indonesian and tested by Natalya & Purwanto (2018). Students’ linguistic understanding was measured using the linguistic understanding scale developed by Hasmawati (2021). The treatment was conducted in six meetings in which each meeting took place for two hours using Zoom video conference platform. Data were analyzed using a descriptive statistic, a correlation test, and a paired sample t-test using the SPSS-26 application. The study found that the integration of linguistic approach, error analysis and contrastive analysis, in composing a grammar textbook of a foreign language is more likely to positively affect students’ academic motivation, learning outcome, and linguistic understanding.

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi-eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Talking Stick dalam keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab siswa kelas X MA Putri DDI Mangkoso Kab. Barru. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Talking Stick, sedangkan variabel terikat pada penelitian ini adalah keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MA Putri DDI Mangkoso Kab. Barru, berjumlah 107 orang siswa, adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 38 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas X MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 19 orang dan kelas X MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 19 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Data hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dengan memberikan pre-test dan post-test secara lisan pada materi “Identitas Diriâ€. Hasil perhitungan uji-t pada taraf signifikan 0,05 diperoleh nilai thitung 2,706 ˃ ttabel 2,028, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Talking Stick efektif dalam keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab pada siswa kelas X MA Putri DDI Mangkoso Kab. Barru.Kata Kunci: Keefektifan, Talking Stick, Keterampilan Berbicara Bahasa Arab.

The purpose of this study was to find out how to use Indonesian sentence patterns on German speaking skills in class XI students of SMA 2 Bantaeng. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The population of this study were all students of class XI SMA 2 Bantaeng. The sample in the study amounted to 32 students. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage techniques. The results of the data analysis showed that the interference with the use of Indonesian sentence patterns on students' German speaking skills was 11.4%.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh data dan informasi tentang kemampuan membaca memahami bahasa Jerman siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Quasi-eksperimen.Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bontonompo Kabupaten Gowa yang terdiri dari 8 kelas.Untuk menentukan sampel teknik yang digunakan yaitu sampel acak (Random Sampling). Jumlah sampel adalah 2 kelas yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 dengan 27 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 dengan 27 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui teks kemampuan membaca memahami. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa thitung 14,5> ttabel 2,007. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya (Peer-Teaching) efektif dalam kemampuan membaca memahami bahasa Jerman siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bontonompo Kabupaten Gowa.

Abstract. Strukturen Und Wortschatz Material (German grammar) is one of the difficult materials for students to understand. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the quality of learning in these courses so that students can easily understand the material in these courses. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the textbook based on metacognitive abilities that had been developed. This study uses a Research and Development approach. Research respondents consisted of expert validators (German lecturers and teachers) and students as user validators. Based on the results of the validity test, the book developed is valid. In addition, based on the public test of the response of students of the German education study program, textbooks have a very positive meaning for students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data dan informasi tentang kesalahan penggunaan deiksis dalam karangan sederhana bahasa Jerman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis karangan sederhana dalam bahasa Jerman. Data yang telah diperoleh diidentifikasi dan diklasifikasi jenis kesalahannya; ditentukan tingkat kesalahannya dengan teknik persentase; menjelaskan kesalahan; memprakirakan daerah rawan kesalahan; serta mengoreksi kesalahan. Dari hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa kesalahan penggunaan deiksis persona, yang terdiri atas kesalahan penggunaan Personalpronomen dan Possesivepronomen masing-masing dengan kasus Nominativ dan Akkusativ, sebanyak 97 kesalahan (84,35%) dengan kategori tinggi sekali; kesalahan penggunaan deiksis temporal sebanyak 3 kesalahan dengan persentase 2,61% kategori hampir tidak ada kesalahan; dan kesalahan penggunaan deiksis lokasional berjumlah 15 kesalahan (13,04%) dengan kategori kurang sekali. Frekuensi kesalahan deiksis persona dalam karangan sederhana bahasa Jerman siswa lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan deiksis temporal dan lokasional.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memerolehnformasi tentang keefektifan teknik Brainstorming dalam keterampilan menulis karangan bahasa Jerman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi-eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa yang terdiri dari 9 kelas yang berjumlah 315 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini random sampling yakni XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 35 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Pengumpulan data melalui tes keterampilan menulis karangan. Data dianalasis menggunakan analisis Uji-t. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa th 5,81 > tt 1,998. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik Brainstorming efektf dalam keterampilan menulis karangan bahasa Jerman siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa.
