Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using youtube media based on various approaches in improving the learning motivation of English learners. This research is a classroom action research. Data collection techniques used in this study consisted of observations and questionnaires. The subjects in this study were 35 people. This research was carried out in two cycles, each meeting held two meetings. In the initial test, the average learning motivation was 33.74, in the first cycle was 41.25 and in the second cycle was 48.28. Therefore, if we compare it from the initial test to the second cycle test. There is an increase of 14.54. This shows that the use of youtube media has an effect on increasing students' motivation to learn English.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the verb conjugation process of German, Bahasa, and English. This study used a contrastive analysis which is one of approaches in applied linguistics. Data consisted of words and sentences in German, Bahasa, and English, and were analyzed descriptively. This article is a preliminary study which aims to do need analysis in developing German grammar book based contrastive analysis approach. Finding shows that there are 4 factors causing verb of a sentence should be conjugated: 1) Verb Conjugation Adjusted with Person as Subject,  2) Verb Conjugation Adjusted with active-passive voice sentence, 3) Verb Conjugation Adjusted with tenses of sentence, 4) Verb Conjugation Adjusted with quantifier factor of sentence subject.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of teacher’s language impoliteness in triggering students’ bullying behavior. The participants are the primary school students in Makassar by using purposive sampling approach. The participants are students who have bullying cases as a perpetrator in the last one month.  Observation, in-depth interview, and questionnaire are used to collect the data. Data Analysis technique employed was simple linear regression analysis. This study shows that impolite language uttered by the teacher influences students’ bullying behaviors. Students who are used to hearing these impolite utterances from their teachers tend to commit bullying behavior verbally at schools since they tend to consider this behavior as an acceptable behavior.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the implementation of Generative Transformation Grammar approach in the teaching of Makassar language in primary school. The steps in conducting this development research are by doing preparation,applying the model, conducting tests, evaluating and doing revision. The subjects in this study were students of SDN Pa’bangngiang Somba Opu sub-district at Gowa Regency which was randomly selected. Through the result of the tests, the students’ performance was measured which are collected and analyzed descriptively. The teaching and learning instructional materials developed are lesson plans, students’ book, and teachers guide based on TTG approach. The result of the study shows that the  implementation of TTG approach in the teaching of Makassar language effectively increases the students’ knowledge and their performance to use the language

Abstract

Abstrak. Tindakan vandalisme telah menjamur hampir di seluruh kawasan urban di kota Makassar, khususnya anak lorong Makassar, dimana sebagian besar tindakan ini dilakukan oleh muda-mudi yang kehabisan cara mengisi waktu luang selama pandemi berlangsung. Tindakan ini tidak hanya berdampak pada rusaknya estetika lingkungan, tetapi juga berdampak pada perilaku moral masyarakat sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, disusunlah program Lorong Bermoral sebagai upaya pencegahan dan penanganan tindakan vandalisme yang kian marak, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat agar mampu berkreasi dan produktif mengisi waktu luang mereka melalui karya seni mural dinding edukasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini tidak hanya mendidik masyarakat untuk mengjauhi tindakan vandalisme dan mengendalikan waktu luang, tetapi juga mengasah potensi dan bakat seni masyarakat yang secara lebih lanjut dapat dikembangkan. Secara umum, kegiatan ini terdiri atas 3 tahap yakni tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Kesimpulan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yakni, 1) Masyarakat telah memahami segala bentuk, faktor dan dampak tindakan vandalisme; 2) Masyarakat telah mengetahui strategi mengelola waktu luang selama pandemi; 3) Masyarakat telah mendapatkan ilmu dan praktik pembuatan seni mural dinding edukasi; 4) Masyarakat mengalami perubahan pemahaman dan perilaku pasca pelatihan. Kata Kunci: Vandalime, Mural Edukasi, Anak Lorong, Bermoral

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelatihan ini yakni memberikan pemahaman kepada guru sekolah dasar terkait pengembangan bahan ajar HOTS  berbasis personal hygiene  yang dapat digunakan selama school from home sebagai salah satu upaya dalam pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19. Program pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar ini dibagi menjadi 4 tahap yakni tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, observasi,  tahap refleksi dan evaluasi. Peserta dalam pelatihan ini yakni 25 guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Jeneponto.   Berdasarkan hasil analisis pelaksanaan program, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan HOTS. Pemahaman dalam hal ini adalah pemahaman dalam merancang, mengembangkan, megimplementasikan serta mengevaluasi bahan ajar yang diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Selain pendekatan HOTS, guru juga mulai memahami materi personal hygiene atau manajemen kebersihan diri dan pentingnya materi tersebut diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstrak. Berbagai model pembelajaran dapat digunakan untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang terbaik. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru di Malino, Kecamatan Tinggi Moncong, Kabupaten Gowa, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mereka tentang model pembelajaran interaktif dan bagaimana menggunakannya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan anak-anak di masyarakat. Pendekatan yang dipersonalisasi digunakan selama proses pelatihan, dan semua peserta diminta untuk memahami bagaimana mengidentifikasi kebutuhan siswa dan merancang model pembelajaran interaktif sebagai hasil dari partisipasi mereka. Selama pelatihan ini, pendekatan ceramah, diskusi, praktik, dan bimbingan digunakan untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan. Melalui pelaksanaan program ini, diketahui bahwa para peserta memperoleh banyak manfaat dari keikutsertaan mereka dalam pelatihan ini. Pemahaman guru tentang model pembelajaran interaktif meningkat sebesar 80 persen sebagai hasil dari inisiatif ini. Selain itu, peserta telah menunjukkan kemampuan mereka untuk mengadaptasi model pembelajaran interaktif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan individu siswa. Pelatihan ini dapat membantu guru menjadi lebih kompeten dan profesional dalam upaya mereka untuk menyediakan lingkungan belajar yang optimal.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, efektifitas, inovatif, pelatihan, guru

Abstract

Education always leads to the improvement of competence and qualifications of educators. Therefore,teachers as educators who are assigned to educate the next generation must have professional qualifications in theirrespective fields. As professional educators, both teachers and school principals are required not only to carry outthe tasks of managing, educating and teaching, but also must develop their professionalism. To be a professionaleducator, a teacher should be able to plan, carry out processes, assess learning outcomes, conduct guidance andcoaching, as well as conduct research and community service. One way to develop the teaching profession, theteacher must be able to make scientific work by conducting research activities. Many problems in learning that needsolutions, and one of the ways to improve the quality of learning is the teacher must carry out classroom actionresearch.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implication of contrastive analysis in the mastery of prepositions in German and Indonesian by identifying the similarities and differences in terms of morphology, semantics and syntax. This study employed library research technique to collect data related to the use of prepositions in German and Indonesian. The results of analysis found that there are similarities and differences in using the prepositions in German and Indonesian. Based on the word structure or the morphological aspect, prepositions in German and Indonesian are divided into two: primary/pure/basic prepositions and secondary/derivative prepositions. In German and Indonesian, primary prepositions are single words, which are called prepositions with one case in German (Präpositionen mit festem Kasus). From the semantic point of view, German prepositions are divided into four types: 1) prepositions indicating locative relationship, 2) temporal relationship, 3) modal relationship, and 4) cause-effect relationship. In Indonesian, however, prepositions are divided into several types: 1) prepositions indicating location, 2) movement, 3) agents, 4) tools, 5) comparison, 6) a thing or problem, 8) effects, and 9) prepositions indicating purpose. In general, those prepositions have similar meanings with prepositions in German, but the formations are different because prepositions in German use one of the cases: accusative, dative or genitive

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan penyusunan buku ajar tata bahasa Jerman berdasarkan respon mahasiswa. Data ini nantinya akan digunakan sebagai dasar dalam penyusunan buku ajar tata bahasa Jerman. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipan yang dilibatkan adalah 30 mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jerman yang telah memprogramkan mata kuliah tata bahasa Jerman dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 aspek yang sebaiknya diperhatikan dalam penyusunan buku ajar tata bahasa diantaranya adalah 1) Komposisi setiap materi harus disesuaikan dengan analisis kebutuhan pembelajar menggunakan analisis kesalahan berbahasa, 2) Penggunaan Analisis Kontrastif untuk Menjelaskan Tata Bahasa Jerman, 3) Bentuk  Soal Latihan yang Diberikan harus Bervariasi, 4) Menjelaskan Fenomena Tata Bahasa Jerman dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Linguistik.
