Abstract

Effective financial management is a crucial factor in providing adequate facilities and quality services. Library management and library services play a crucial role in supporting the learning process and improving literacy at SMAN 1 Galis Pamekasan. This study aims to describe the implementation of library management, which also encompasses the funding aspect of facilities, including the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation stages of services, as well as assessing the quality of services received by users. The findings indicate that planning is carried out through the procurement and grouping of book collections, while organization involves collaboration between the principal, treasurer, facilities and infrastructure officers, and librarians in meeting library facility needs. This involves collaboration between elements within the school environment to meet facility needs and manage library financing, although the funding mechanism applied is not yet optimal and has not been documented in detail. Service implementation includes borrowing and returning books based on student cards, cataloging collections, and regular literacy programs such as reading corners and writing competitions. The evaluation indicates challenges in student discipline and adaptation to information technology, particularly the use of e-books. Therefore, strengthening collaborative and innovative management is needed to improve service effectiveness and foster a culture of digital literacy among students.

Abstract

The quality of educators and human resources (HR) is a fundamental element in achieving the goals of high-quality Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This article aims to analyze management strategies for improving the quality of personnel and HR in the PAI sector through an integrative approach. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, using literature review from various primary and secondary sources. The analysis reveals that effective strategies include competency-based recruitment, continuous training, regular performance evaluation, and the implementation of an innovative work culture. These findings are expected to serve as a strategic reference for enhancing the quality of PAI personnel across educational institutions.

Abstract

Moderate Islam maust be the main feature of everi Islamic boarding school. History proves that the showing of moderate teaching in religion is in Islamic boarding School. Islamic boarding schools are Islamic educational institutions that the kiai as the central figure. The quality of the pesantren is determined by the kiai as the leader of the Islamic boarding school who drives all activities in it. Islamic boarding schools will give birth to qualified santri graduates if the management of the kiai's leadership is carried out properly. Through a literature study using a qualitative approach, this research focuses on the concept of kiai leadership, kiai management in Islamic boarding schools, and analysis of kiai leadership management in efforts to improve the quality of Islamic boarding schools based on moderate Islam. The results of the study found that kiai leadership is the ability of a kiai to organize and manage the pesantren educational institution he leads and has the highest role in it. The function of kiai management in Islamic boarding schools as an effort to improve the quality of Islamic boarding schools includes planning carried out with the leaders of educational units and administrators of Islamic boarding schools, organizing by delegating tasks according to their expertise, actuating with the assistance of pesantren stakeholders, and controlling in an effort to improve if there are problems in the program that has been implemented according to the previous plan.Keywords: Management; Kiai leadership; Islamic boarding school quality, Moderate Islam

Abstract

In the education process changes will continue, both scientifically and planned changes, in accordance with the capabilities and wishes of the school. The headmaster is one of the drivers of positive and significant change in education. It can be shown that there are many quality schools because they are led by headmaster who are able to guide and provide direction to the teacher council. The headmaster is leader has an important role in improving teacher competence. The ability of the headmaster to foster and assist teacher competence with the aim that teachers can solve problems properly and carry out their duties properly and efficiently. Abstract

This research is motivated by the researcher’s interest in the university monitoring system through lecturer performance in improving the quality and reputation of universities in Indonesia. Although the Tri Dharma of Higher Education is an obligation that every lecturer must carry out, there are differences in its implementation in various universities. This study examines the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by lecturers and its impact through an independent comparative survey in State Religious Universities and State General Universities with similar geographical, cultural, and social conditions. The approach used in this study is quantitative, with a comparative method to test the differences in the implementation of Tri Dharma in several universities. Data were collected through a validated questionnaire and then analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney, and Spearman rank correlation tests. The study's results showed no significant differences in the implementation of education and teaching. However, there were differences in the implementation of research and community service among the universities studied. Its impact on the SINTA score shows that the implementation of research has a strong correlation. In contrast, the implementation of community service does not significantly impact the score. This study provides important implications regarding the need for universities to improve the quality of research and community service to impact their academic reputation positively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of lecturers in the fields of education, research, service, and support at IAIN Madura, Madura State Polytechnic, and Trunojoyo University Madura. This study uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site design. The results of the study show that in the field of education, PTK already has facilities that are planned but not optimal; in the context of learning assignments, PTK There is still no planning and nomination list for lecturers who will further study for the development of lecturers through training. In contrast, PTU has structured planning in providing lecture facilities, further study of lecturers and development of lecturers through training. The field of research at PTK still needs a RIP and guidelines because they are still in the final stage, while at PTU, there are RIPs and procedures, and training on research has also been carried out. In the field of service in PTK and PTU, there are guidelines, but in PTK, it has yet to be integrated with study programs; in PTK, it has been facilitated but not comprehensive, while in PTU, it has been carried out by all lecturers. In the supporting aspect, PTK and PTU have a development policy for all lecturers to carry out outside activities and a Tridharma-supporting development facility policy.

Abstract

Engghi Bhunten is the highest level of Madurese speech, reflecting the highest level of politeness and respect. However, its use is now threatened by the influence of globalization and modernization. At the Al-Maimunah Girls' Islamic Boarding School, although the majority of students are Madurese, they rarely use Engghi Bhunten in their daily communication. This study aims to analyze the use of Engghi Bhunten as an effort to preserve the Madurese language within the girls' Islamic boarding school environment. This qualitative research, with a descriptive and interpretive design, was conducted at the Al-Maimunah Girls' Islamic Boarding School in Kembang Jeruk Village, Sampang Regency, East Java. Participants were selected purposively, consisting of the head of the boarding school, female teachers, and students. Data were collected through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through the triangulation of sources and techniques, while data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The use of Engghi Bhunten at the Al-Maimunah Girls' Islamic Boarding School is systematically integrated into all student activities and has a significant impact on preserving the Madurese language. Internal factors that support this are the students' awareness of maintaining good manners, while external factors include the boarding school's rules, the role models of female teachers and senior students, and the consistency of the boarding school environment. The impact is evident in the students' increased understanding of the levels of politeness, language rules, and the use of vocabulary in context, enabling them to become more polite, confident, and skilled in speaking Madurese. The practice of using Engghi Bhunten not only improves students' linguistic competence but also fosters a polite and cultured character, while making them active agents in preserving the Madurese language. The boarding school plays an effective role as a space for habituating regional language preservation through the integration of cultural and religious values in everyday communication.

Abstract

This study evaluated the effectiveness of team-based learning (TBL) in teaching musculoskeletal anatomy compared to traditional lectures. A total of 267 second-year medical students participated. Student performance was assessed using pre- and post-tests, and results were analyzed with a paired t-test (p<.05), revealing significantly higher anatomy scores following TBL. Student perceptions were explored through a Likert-scale questionnaire analyzed descriptively, and focus group discussions (FGDs), which were transcribed and analyzed using thematic analysis. Students reported that TBL enhanced their understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and added value by illustrating clinical relevance, encouraging active learning, promoting discussion and communication skills, improving motivation, and reinforcing class preparedness. TBL also fostered knowledge integration, critical thinking, and peer teaching. Despite its benefits, students noted challenges such as limited in-depth discourse, varying group dynamics, subjective peer evaluations, and logistical constraints like unsuitable room setups. Overall, the findings suggest that TBL is an effective alternative to traditional lectures in anatomy education, supporting both academic performance and the development of key competencies essential for future medical professionals.

Abstract

Supervisi pendidikan merupakan proses pembinaan profesional yang dirancang secara sistematis untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan efektivitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan di satuan pendidikan. Dalam konteks perkembangan pendidikan modern, supervisi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai mekanisme pengawasan administratif, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen strategis dalam pengembangan profesionalitas guru, peningkatan mutu sekolah, serta penciptaan iklim belajar yang kondusif. Supervisi melibatkan berbagai aktivitas, mulai dari observasi, bimbingan, pelatihan, evaluasi, hingga pendampingan berkelanjutan kepada guru dan tenaga kependidikan. Ruang lingkup supervisi meliputi aspek akademik, personal, dan manajerial yang secara keseluruhan berkontribusi pada optimalisasi proses pembelajaran. Objek supervisi mencakup guru, perangkat kurikulum, administrasi sekolah, sarana prasarana, proses pembelajaran, serta kondisi psikologis tenaga pendidik sebagai faktor penting yang memengaruhi efektivitas pengajaran. Adapun sasarannya mencakup peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam jangka pendek, perbaikan sistem pendidikan dalam jangka menengah, serta peningkatan mutu lulusan dalam jangka panjang. Artikel ini menyajikan pembahasan komprehensif mengenai ruang lingkup, objek, dan sasaran supervisi pendidikan dengan memperkaya analisis melalui literatur terkini. Selain itu, artikel ini menambahkan pembahasan mendalam terkait model-model supervisi modern, tantangan supervisi pada era digital, serta berbagai pendekatan penguatan mutu berbasis supervisi. Dengan demikian, tulisan ini dapat memberikan kontribusi ilmiah bagi para pendidik, pengawas, dan pemangku kebijakan dalam memahami serta mengimplementasikan supervisi secara efektif dan berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan secara berkelanjutan.
