Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer behavior towards the use of single-use plastics in tourist areas in Bali. Plastic waste has become a serious problem, especially in beach tourism areas where cleanliness and comfort are important aspects. This study identifies the factors that influence tourists' decisions in purchasing plastic-packaged products in beach tourism areas. Tourism involves the temporary relocation of individuals to locations outside their place of residence, and plastic waste in beach tourism areas is a significant concern. This research focuses on tourist behavior related to the purchase of plastic-packaged products in beach tourism areas.

Abstract

This research examines how Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a role in the local economy and the impact of using plastic waste from tofu factories on Islamic business ethics in Krian-Sidoarjo District. Small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in creating jobs and driving economic growth, but unsustainable production practices, such as the use of plastic waste, present ethical challenges that need to be reviewed from an Islamic perspective. Islamic business ethics emphasize the principles of sustainability, justice, and the common good, which should guide business actors, including in waste management. This research identifies the motivations, practices, and impacts of plastic waste usage by tofu factories, as well as how this usage can be aligned with Islamic business principles. The research employs a qualitative approach. This research uses a qualitative approach. It is hoped that the research results will assist stakeholders in making plans that support the sustainability of MSMEs and meet Islamic business ethics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by Madurese traditional grocery stores (Toko Klontong Madura) in order to enhance competitiveness within the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. Facing increasingly complex market competition, traditional retail businesses must develop marketing strategies that not only retain loyal customers but also attract new ones. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings reveal that personalized customer approaches, flexible pricing, friendly service, and strategic location usage are key factors in sustaining the competitiveness of Madurese grocery stores. The study concludes that appropriate and contextual marketing strategies can strengthen MSMEs amidst the rise of modern retail outlets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the socio-economic impact of the existence of the “SAY” uniform convection business in Gresik on the surrounding community and workers. This small business is considered to have a strategic role in creating a balance between economic growth and improving social welfare. The method used is qualitative descriptive research, with data collection through in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that this business has an economic impact in the form of job creation, increasing employee income, and encouraging local economic activity. From a social perspective, this business improves the quality of life of employees, especially women, and shows social concern through an orphan assistance program. This study underlines the importance of the existence of MSMEs in socio-economic development at the local level and the need for ongoing support so that its benefits can be felt more widely.

Abstract

Customer retention is a crucial factor in ensuring business sustainability, especially for MSMEs in the culinary sector that face intense competition. This study evaluates various factors that contribute to enhancing customer retention at Pingpong Bites, an MSME based in Malang. The approach employed includes a systematic literature review (SLR) and semi-structured interviews with business owners and customers. The findings reveal that service quality, product quality, pricing and promotional strategies, as well as customer satisfaction, play vital roles in building loyalty. Additionally, product innovation and the ability to adapt to market trends are also essential aspects of maintaining customer engagement. These findings offer guidance for MSMEs in designing more effective strategies to increase customer loyalty and support sustainable business growth.
