Abstract

The title of this thesis is Boosting students’ skimming reading skill by using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC ) Learning Method (A Collaborative Classroom Action Research to the Second Year Students of SMAN 1 Samalanga). The researcher put two problems of this research with the questions as follow: first, how does CIRC method improvement the second-year students of SMAN 1 Samalanga in skimming reading skill? Second, how do the students respond toward CIRC method in teaching learning process of skimming reading skill of the second-year students’ of SMAN 1 Samalanga? Based on the research problems, the purpose of this research were: first, to know the CIRC method improvement the second year students of SMAN 1 Samalanga in skimming reading skill, and second, to know the students’ skimming reading skill by using CIRC learning method. This research was a collaborative classroom action research. The research subject was the second-year students of SMAN 1 Samalanga. The sample of this research 30 students. The data was collected through the reading test, students’ observation checklist, teacher’s observation checklist and questionnaire. The data was analyzed through the descriptive qualitative research. After the researcher was done all the steps of action research (cycle 1 and cycle II) the students’ mean score increased from 60 in cycle 1 and became 80 in cycle II. Besides, from the observation checklist to the students’ activity, it was found the percentage of the students’ participation during teaching learning process in reading class increased gradually. It was proved by the result of the observation checklist were taken at the beginning of cycle 1, the percentage of the students’ participation was only 54 and became 70 in cycle II. And also, the list of questionnaires given to the students indicates that the students had positive respond toward the implementation of CIRC method in reading class. It was provided by overall mean score 3,9 that was categorized to the level of Agree.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter dan moral generasi muda. Dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, dayah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tradisional memiliki potensi besar untuk membentuk kesadaran politik yang bersih di kalangan generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran dayah dalam revolusi akhlak dan membentuk karakter politik yang berintegritas melalui pembaruan kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan pendidikan agama dan keterampilan sosial-politik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, yang melibatkan observasi langsung, wawancara dengan guru PAI, kepala sekolah, serta analisis dokumen kurikulum di beberapa dayah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun dayah memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk kesadaran politik yang bersih, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah perlunya pembaruan kurikulum yang lebih relevan dengan perkembangan zaman dan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam mengajarkan nilai-nilai sosial-politik. Selain itu, peran masyarakat dan orang tua dalam mendukung pendidikan yang holistik juga menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan pendidikan di dayah. Kesimpulannya, untuk menciptakan generasi muda yang tidak hanya religius tetapi juga memiliki integritas dalam kehidupan sosial dan politik, dayah perlu melakukan inovasi kurikulum yang menggabungkan pendidikan agama dengan pembekalan keterampilan praktis dalam menghadapi isu-isu sosial-politik. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan kurikulum dayah yang lebih progresif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji Pengaruh Ukuran Perusahaan (Size), Leverage (DER) dan Pertumbuhan Perusahaan (Asset Growth) Terhadap Nilai Perusahaan (PBV) Studi pada Perusahaan Food and beverage Yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2017-2021. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 72 perusahaan Food and Beverage yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria tertentu, sehingga sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 20 perusahaan. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi model data panel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel ukuran perusahaan, leverage dan pertumbuhan perusahaan berpengaruh posistif dan signifikan sedangkan secara parsial variabel ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, sedangkan variabel leverage berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan dan pertumbuhan perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

Pendidikan kesehatan sejak dini menjadi salah satu langkah strategis dalam membentuk pola perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat sebagai investasi masa depan. Mitra kegiatan menghadapi permasalahan terkait dengan rendahnya pengetahuan dan kebiasaan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta membentuk kebiasaan hidup sehat sejak dini, khususnya dalam menjaga kebersihan gigi dan memahami penggunaan obat yang tepat. Program yang dijalankan terdiri dari dua kegiatan utama, yaitu Apoteker Cilik (APOCIL) dan SIKAP CERIA (Sikat Gigi Setiap Hari untuk Cegah Karies Anak). Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pendekatan edukatif yang interaktif, seperti pemaparan materi, simulasi, dan praktik langsung yang melibatkan total 54 siswa dari SD MA’ARIF dan SD Negeri 005 Sepaku. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan pemahaman peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan, yaitu sebesar 21% pada pemahaman mengenai profesi apoteker dan obat, serta 6,99% pada kebiasaan menyikat gigi yang baik dan benar. Selain peningkatan kognitif, kegiatan ini juga turut membentuk keterampilan komunikasi dan rasa percaya diri peserta. Adapun kedepannya pihak sekolah dan tenaga kesehatan setempat dapat melanjutkan kegiatan edukasi sejenis secara berkala melalui program UKS atau kemitraan dengan perguruan tinggi setempat, sehingga perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dapat berlangsung secara konsisten dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

This community service program focuses on addressing the problem of low reading skills among lower grade students in Kahayan Tengah Subdistrict, Pulang Pisau Regency. Data from the Education Office (2023/2024) reveals that around 40% of third grade students in several elementary schools, such as in Bahu Palawa and Pamarunan, are not yet fluent in reading. This shows the urgency of improving teachers' capacity to deal with these learning difficulties. As a solution, a syllable learning model was introduced, designed to provide a systematic conceptual framework for letter recognition and word formation, thereby making it easier for students to achieve reading proficiency, which is also the foundation for writing. This reinforcement activity was carried out using a classic method that combined counseling, discussion, and hands-on practice. There were 38 participants, all teachers from the Hapakat Cluster 4 Teacher Working Group (KKG), which covers four elementary schools. Based on observations, 90% of the target participants successfully practiced the lessons well. Evaluation of the students showed an average score of 59.06 with a classical completeness of 25%, indicating the need for continuous intervention. The output of this program is an increase in teachers' knowledge and understanding in implementing early reading learning, which is expected to improve the quality of learning in the classroom. More broadly, the targeted final output is the publication of scientific articles in the PengabdianKu Journal of Muhammadiyah University Palangka Raya and the registration of Intellectual Property Rights .

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low motivation to learn Civics among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 006 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 011 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam could be improved through the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model, which was carried out over a period of one month. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 011 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam in the 2016–2017 academic year, totaling six students consisting of four boys and two girls. This study employed a classroom action research design. The research instruments included performance instruments and data collection tools in the form of teacher and student activity observation sheets. Based on the analysis and discussion presented in Chapter IV, it can be concluded that the application of the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model was effective in increasing students’ motivation to learn Civics in the fourth grade at SD Negeri 011 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam. This improvement can be observed from changes in students’ motivation between Cycle I and Cycle II. In Cycle I, students’ motivation reached a score of 15 with an average motivation level of 41.7, which was categorized as low. In Cycle II, students’ motivation increased significantly to a score of 31 with an average motivation level of 86.1, categorized as very high. Based on the predetermined performance indicators, this research was considered successful because student motivation exceeded the minimum achievement criterion of 75% of all students.

Abstract

Community welfare is a fundamental objective in achieving sustainable and equitable development, particularly in regions facing persistent urban–rural disparities. Despite various policy interventions, including fiscal transfers and targeted development programs at local levels, the determinants of community welfare remain a subject of debate. This study examines the key economic determinants of community welfare in Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, focusing on economic growth, income inequality, labor absorption, infrastructure availability, and investment. Using panel data regression analysis, this study investigates the causal relationships between these economic factors and community welfare across districts and cities in Southeast Sulawesi from 2012 to 2021, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency. The results indicate that labor absorption, income inequality, infrastructure development, and investment have significant effects on community welfare. Employment emerges as the most influential factor, suggesting that higher labor absorption plays a critical role in improving welfare outcomes. Income inequality shows a significant negative effect, indicating that increasing disparities reduce overall welfare. Infrastructure development and investment positively contribute to welfare by enhancing public services and expanding employment opportunities. In contrast, economic growth demonstrates a weaker impact compared to other determinants. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence that community welfare is more strongly influenced by employment creation and inequality reduction than by economic growth alone. The findings offer important policy implications for regional development planning, emphasizing the need for inclusive, labor-oriented, and infrastructure-supported development strategies to enhance welfare in developing regions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine amtsāl Al-Qur’an as a Qur’anic stylistic device and to analyze its pedagogical relevance in educating social values and empathy within Islamic Religious Education. Using a qualitative, library-based approach, the study explores the definitions of amtsāl and the Qur’an, outlines the main types of amtsāl (muṣarraḥah, kāminah, and mursalah) with representative verses, and discusses the wisdoms underlying their use. The findings indicate that amtsāl functions not only as a rhetorical tool that clarifies abstract concepts, but also as a powerful pedagogical instrument for shaping social character. Through parables that engage both cognition and emotion, the Qur’an cultivates solidarity, social responsibility, care for others, and respect for human dignity, as reflected in Q.S. al-Ḥashr 9 and Q.S. al-Mā’idah 32. Thus, amtsāl Al-Qur’an can serve as a contextual learning strategy aimed at fostering character and empathy

Abstract

Kajian ini merupakan penelitian usūl tafsīr yang menganalisis secara mendalam kaidah mutlaq dan muqayyad dalam konteks penetapan hukum pada surah al-Baqarah ayat 222. Ayat ini memuat pedoman fundamental mengenai larangan mendekati istri selama masa haid. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan komparatif, menelaah pandangan ulama tafsir klasik seperti Imam al-Qurthubi dan literatur usūl fiqh kontemporer. Tujuan utamanya adalah menguraikan bagaimana suatu perintah yang bersifat umum (mutlaq) dibatasi (muqayyad) untuk mencapai hukum yang rinci dan adil. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa larangan mendekati istri “lā taqrabūhunna” yang bersifat mutlaq secara tekstual, dibatasi maknanya (muqayyad) oleh dua kondisi: Pertama; kondisi haid “fī al-mahīd”, yang mengkhususkan larangan hanya pada hubungan seksual, bukan pada interaksi yang lain. Kedua; batas waktu suci “ḥatta yathurna” yang memunculkan perbedaan interpretasi ulama terkait syarat kesucian. Perbedaan pandangan ini dibahas dalam kaidah “sebab berbeda namun hukumnya sama” dalam usūl fiqh. Mayoritas ulama berpendapat bahwa kebolehan jimak hanya boleh setelah darah berhenti dan telah melakukan mandi wajib. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada menganalisis pandangan ulama klasik dan kontemporer, serta etika pernikahan di zaman sekarang, sehingga Al-Quran dapat dipahami sebagai bagian dari rahmat Allah yang seimbang dan aplikatif.

Abstract

This study examines the interpretation of the ḍamīr huwa in the isyārī interpretation of Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ, focusing on the dimension of tawḥīd and its relevance to contemporary spiritual discourse. Employing a qualitative, textual analysis approach, this study analyzes the works of Sufi mufassirs such as Ibn ʿAjībah, Imām al-Ālūsī, and Muḥammad al-Bayṭār. It also addresses the polemic between the Majelis Pengkajian Tauhid Tasawuf Indonesia (MPTT-I) and the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) concerning the interpretation of ḍamīr huwa in Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ. The findings indicated that huwa is not merely a pronoun referring to Allah but also a symbol of the highest level of spiritual consciousness. Within the context of modern spirituality, this understanding resonates with the concept of mindfulness, wherein awareness of God’s presence becomes a source of inner tranquility. Furthermore, this interpretation may foster tolerance, as it emphasizes that God transcends the boundaries of religious formalism. In the context of exegetical polemics, MPTT-I understands huwa as an implicit (ghaybī) pronoun associated with the concept of al-Insān al-Kāmil and referring to the Prophet Muḥammad. In contrast, MUI asserts that huwa must be unequivocally referred to Allah. This study underscores the importance of adopting a moderate approach to isyārī interpretation to enrich spiritual understanding and prevent theological conflict. Further research is recommended to explore more deeply the roots of this polemic and the epistemological limitations of isyārī exegesis in contemporary Islamic discourse.
