Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance teachers’ capacity in implementing innovative mathematics learning based on emotional intelligence and interactive technology at SD Negeri 2 Wonodadi, Pringsewu Regency. The main challenges faced by the partner school include the limited use of digital media and the teachers’ difficulties in managing students’ emotions during mathematics lessons. The program adopted a reflective mentoring approach consisting of three main stages: (1) orientation and basic training, (2) reflective discussion and teacher community strengthening, and (3) evaluation through post-tests, teacher response questionnaires, and collective reflection sessions. The results reveal significant improvements in teachers’ ability to use Wayground as an effective interactive learning platform and in their emotional regulation skills within classroom interactions. Teachers successfully integrated technology and empathy into mathematics teaching, resulting in increased student motivation, engagement, and confidence. Moreover, the program fostered the establishment of a teacher learning community focused on continuous reflection and collaboration, marking a form of social transformation within the school.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and skills of elementary school teachers in designing and implementing interactive e-books based on real-life situations as innovative mathematics learning media relevant to everyday life contexts. The program was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Wonodadi, Pringsewu Regency, involving nine active classroom teachers as participants. The implementation methods included needs analysis, technical training on e-book creation, assistance in production and classroom implementation, and evaluation of activities through a participatory and reflective approach. Each stage is designed based on hands-on practice (learning by doing) to ensure active participant engagement. The activity results showed a significant increase in teachers' pedagogical competence and digital literacy, with an average understanding score improvement of 28 points between the pre-test and post-test. Almost all participants successfully designed interactive e-book products that met the content, visual, and interactivity criteria. In addition to producing digital learning products, this activity also formed the “Wonodadi Digital Teachers” community as a manifestation of the sustainability of technology-based learning innovation in elementary schools.

Abstract

The use of digital-based e-modules has become an important innovation in English language learning to effectively improve students' skills. This literature study examines various aspects of the development and application of multimodal and gamified e-modules that can improve reading and speaking skills. This research uses the semantic literature review method to analyze various literatures. Data collection is carried out through systematic searches in various academic databases, google scholar, sciencedirect, data analysis is carried out with a semantic analysis approach which includes theme identification, coding and categorization, literature synthesis, and interpretation of results. Research shows that interactive and engaging e-modules can facilitate independent and distance learning, and overcome the challenge of limited conventional learning resources. However, successful implementation requires training for teachers and provision of adequate technological infrastructure. In addition, innovative approaches such as multimodal and gamification are instrumental in increasing student engagement. Recommendations from this study emphasize the need for collaboration between the government, educational institutions and the community to optimize the use of digital technology in English language learning in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the learning process in a sustainable manner

Abstract

Background: Endotracheal intubation in pediatric patients undergoing elective surgery can trigger hemodynamic response, including increased blood pressure and heart rate, due to sympathetic stimulation. Premedication is required to attenuate these responses. However, the comparative effectiveness of gabapentin and lorazepam remains to be investigated.Objectives: This study aims to evaluate and compare the effects of gabapentin and lorazepam premedication on blood pressure and heart rate during tracheal intubation in pediatric patients.Methods: This randomized controlled clinical trial involved 64 pediatric patients undergoing elective surgery. They were divided into two groups: the gabapentin group (15 mg/kg) and the lorazepam group (0.025 mg/kg). Hemodynamic parameters were measured before and after intubation. Results: The study results showed that the gabapentin group had lower systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and mean arterial pressure (MAP) compared to the lorazepam group after intubation (p<0.05). Gabapentin was also more effective in maintaining blood pressure stability than lorazepam, while both groups showed comparable heart rate parameters (p > 0.05).Conclusion: Gabapentin premedication is more effective in suppressing the surge in blood pressure caused by intubation than lorazepam, while lorazepam is more significant in reducing heart rate. Overall, gabapentin may be a more optimal premedication option for maintaining hemodynamic stability in pediatric patients undergoing elective surgery.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi politik pemilih pemula di kalangan pelajar di Kota Batam, dengan fokus pada pengembangan sikap politik, perilaku politik, dan pemahaman pengaruh pendidikan serta media. Materi pelatihan mencakup Analisis dan Evaluasi Konten Media Sosial Politik di Era Digital, Literasi Media & Antisipasi Berita Hoax, dan Literasi Politik Pemuda di Era Digital. Metode pelaksanaan melibatkan ceramah, diskusi, dan simulasi, yang diikuti oleh siswa kelas 12 di SMAS Plus Al-Ustmaniyah Queen Al Falah. Hasil evaluasi pretest menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa (65%) menunjukkan pemahaman dasar yang baik mengenai pentingnya partisipasi dalam pemilu, sedangkan hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan 80% siswa menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai sikap politik dan pengaruh media terhadap pemilih. Selain itu, analisis terhadap perilaku politik menunjukkan bahwa 60% siswa memiliki niat untuk menggunakan hak pilih mereka pada pemilu mendatang. Pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ada peningkatan dalam sikap dan perilaku politik, masih terdapat keraguan terkait kredibilitas informasi dari media sosial, yang menunjukkan perlunya penguatan literasi media. Keberlanjutan kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dilakukan melalui penyelenggaraan pelatihan berkelanjutan dan integrasi dalam kurikulum pendidikan formal.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan tanah sebagai material timbunan baik untuk badan jalan, bendungan atau tanggul maupun oprit jembatan tidak dapat dihindari dan merupakan pilihan yang harus digunakan dalam penelitian ini penulis menganalisa berapa besar pengaruh penurunan tanah timbunan berdasarkan jenis material timbunan dengan memperhitungkan analisis data tanah dan perubahan angka pori pada setiap pembebanan diatasnya. Hal ini sangat penting karena dalam pelaksanaan pekerjaan pembangunan jembatan gantung Sei. Batang Kumu menggunakan dua jenis material timbunan yang berbeda. Dimana material tanah timbunan di daerah Kabupaten Rokan Hulu khususnya Kecamatan Tambusai Utara memiliki perbedaan visual yaitu pada warna material timbunan sehingga menarik untuk mengetahui pengaruh penurunan dengan perubahan nilai angka pori material tersebut, secara analitis penulis melakukan pengujian di laboratorium dengan menggunakan Triaxial Compression Test (ASTM D 2850). Kemudian diketahui berdasarkan pengujian kedua jenis tanah lempung berpasir tersebut memiliki nilai penurunan yang berbeda. Nilai angka pori pada kedua jenis tanah lempung diketahui memiliki nilai penurunan rata-rata angka pori tanah pada oprit jembatan I penurunan material tanah timbunan yang terjadi selama 60’’ sebesar 0,001 cm, dan material tanah timbunan pada oprit jembatan II diketahui penurunan rata- rata angka pori tanah yang terjadi selama 60’’ sebesar 0,006 cm. Penurunan tanah lempung berpasir yang berwarna kecoklatan lebih mampu menahan beban dibandingkan tanah lempung berpasir yang berwarna keputihan. Hasil penurunan material tanah kedua tanah timbunan tersebut terjadi karena pengaruh perbedaan nilai berat volume tanah timbunan.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competence of teachers at SDN 1 Sumber Agung in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and educational games as innovative learning tools. The program was conducted through workshops, mentoring sessions, and hands-on practice using various AI platforms and simple educational game development aligned with classroom content. Evaluation using a Likert-scale questionnaire indicates that teachers responded positively in several aspects, including understanding the material, ease of technology use, ability to apply AI media and educational games, and increased creativity in designing learning activities. The results demonstrate that the training effectively strengthened teachers’ technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) in an integrated manner. The program also increased teachers’ enthusiasm for adopting digital innovations and broadened the variety of learning strategies used in the classroom. Overall, this program successfully supported a shift toward more interactive, engaging, and student-centered learning practices.

Abstract

The training program “Designing Educational Games Using Canva AI” was conducted to enhance early childhood teachers’ competencies in utilizing digital technology as a creative and interactive learning medium. This program aimed to strengthen teachers’ understanding of educational game concepts, improve their technical skills in using Canva AI, and encourage the creation of learning media aligned with early childhood developmental characteristics. The training applied an intensive workshop approach consisting of material presentations, demonstrations, hands-on practice, mentoring, and product presentations. Evaluation was carried out through a feedback survey involving 25 participants assessed across ten key indicators. The results showed highly positive responses, particularly in understanding the material, the quality of facilitator guidance, the effectiveness of the workshop method, and increased teacher confidence. Participants successfully produced varied and engaging digital educational games, although challenges remained in enhancing game interactivity and simplifying instructional elements. These findings indicate that the training effectively improved teachers’ digital literacy and creativity, while also highlighting the need for further mentoring to strengthen pedagogical aspects in game design. Overall, the program contributed significantly to preparing early childhood teachers to integrate digital technology into classroom learning.

Abstract

The training titled Developing Learning Media Using Canva AI and Gamification to Enhance Teacher Creativity at SDN 1 Sumber Agung was conducted to strengthen teachers’ ability to produce creative and interactive digital learning media that meet the needs of elementary school students. This study aims to describe the results of the training evaluation and analyze its impact on improving teacher creativity. A quantitative descriptive method was used, with data collected through a post-training evaluation questionnaire. The results show that teachers’ understanding of the material reached 89%, ease of technology use scored 86%, material relevance reached 92%, and overall satisfaction reached 90%. These findings indicate that the training was highly effective in enhancing teachers’ competencies, particularly in utilizing Canva AI and gamification elements to create engaging learning media. The results align with Mayer’s Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning, which emphasizes the importance of integrating visual and textual information to support cognitive processing. Overall, the training produced positive impacts, including increased creativity, improved digital literacy, and greater readiness among teachers to meet the demands of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

Enhancing the competency of scientific writing for educators and future academics has become an urgent necessity in facing global academic challenges. The low number of quality publications and the minimal understanding of international publication standards often hinder academic capacity development. Therefore, this International Collaborative Community Service Program (PPM-KI) aims to equip educators and future academics with scientific writing skills that comply with the standards of reputable national and international journals. Furthermore, this program also encourages cross-country academic collaboration in the production and publication of scientific works, thereby increasing academic recognition and strengthening global scientific networks. Through this program, several targeted outcomes include the publication of articles in ISSN-registered journals or ISBN/ISSN-registered national seminar proceedings, the publication of articles in mass media or online academic platforms, and video documentation of activities uploaded to the LPPM YouTube channel. Additionally, the program also targets the active involvement of students in community service activities and the acquisition of recognition letters from international partners as proof of their enhanced academic capacity. Evidence of collaborative partnership in the form of an Implementation of Arrangement (IA) is also a key outcome, demonstrating the program's success in building international networks. With this program, it is expected that educators and future academics will improve the quality and quantity of their scientific publications, thus contributing to strengthening a more competitive academic ecosystem at the international level. Moreover, the program's success will also support the achievement of key performance indicators for higher education institutions and contribute to academic development based on global collaboration
