Abstract

This study aims to find empirical evidence regarding the Capital Market Reaction Analysis in Southeast Asia to the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study uses abnormal stock returns obtained from the composite stock index on the stock market in each Southeast Asian country in 2019 (before the pandemic occurred) and 2020 (when the Covid-19 pandemic occurred). The type of research used in this research is comparative quantitative research and the method used is descriptive quantitative. The research population is countries that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample of this research is the stock market in Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Laos. Based on the results of the Abnormal Stock Return test using the Paired Sample t – Test, only Cambodia has reacted to the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Laos have not reacted to the Covid-19 pandemic. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study was rejected. This means that there is no significant difference in the comparison of abnormal stock returns before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This proves that the Covid-19 pandemic does not yet have significant information content to affect the stock market in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

Kindergarten is an example of an educational sector that has been impacted by advances in computer technology. One of the most important parts of a kindergarten is student assessment and the creativity of school children. In one kindergarten there are dozens of students and each has different creativity values. However, there are problems at the Pidie Regency Education Office in assessing the process of determining the selection as the best participant to take part in the kindergarten student carnival competition in Pidie Regency. This writing will discuss the design of a decision support system using the Multi-Objective Optimization On The Basis Of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method to select participants in the kindergarten student carnival competition in Pidie Regency. The aim of this research is to assist the Pidie District Education Office in making decisions by evaluating and ranking existing alternatives so that it is easier to determine which kindergarten student participants can take part in the carnival competition. The programming language used in designing this application is PHP using the CodeIgniter framework and HTML. For display using CSS3, namely using the Bootstrap and Jquery framework. The database uses MySQL. The tools and editors used are XAMPP for Windows, and Microsoft Visual Studio Code. The final result of this system is to provide a recommendation output ranking participants from the largest alternative value to the smallest. With this system, the Education Department will be helped and made easier in determining competition participants.

To analyze the effect of the incinerator on CO, CO2 and NO2 exhaust gases of mask waste before using wet coconut fiber and after using wet coconut fiber. Methodology: This research method uses the experimental method. The experimental design in this study is a pre-experimental design by providing treatment and measuring the results of the treatment carried out pretest and post-test. The research was conducted at the Mustika Graha Asri Housing Complex RT 11 RW 01 Loktabat Utara Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, in April 2022. Findings: From the results of statistical data processing using the paired t-test method, CO exhaust gas was obtained with a significance value of 0.853 (p> 0.05), CO2 with a significance value of 0.002 (p< 0.05) and NO2 with a significance value of 0.801 (p> 0.05). The exhaust gas that has a significant difference before and after using the wet coconut fiber filter is CO2 exhaust gas, while there is no significant difference between CO gas and NO2 exhaust gas. Many shortcomings still need to be addressed so that the combustion process in this simple incinerator is more optimal. Implications/Novel Contribution: The present study advances knowledge by comprehensively summarizing mask waste treatment using wet coconut filters. Additionally, this research offers useful information on the entire installation procedure and necessary tools.

Abstract

This study examines the tourism, hotel, and restaurant sector's reaction to various government policies' announcements of COVID-19. This study used data from nine travel agencies, twenty-seven hotels, and eight restaurants collected from the Indonesian Stock Exchange and www.finance.yahoo.com. The limit was 10 days before and 10 days after the 7-event policy, with 140 days' worth of observations. This study found that abnormal returns were significantly negative when the government enforced community activities restrictions (PPKM) of the Micro policy in the restaurant industry. Besides that, in other events, the tourism, hotel, and restaurant sectors showed negative but insignificant statistical values. In addition, trading volume on the hotel, tourism, and restaurant indices shows different results between these indices. The hotel sector shows that when the government imposed the PSBB and PPKM there was a difference in the trading volume's statistical value, which was negative and significant except for PPKM-Zonation and PPKM-Emergency. The tourism sector shows negative and significant differences in trade volume values for PSBB and PPKM-Zonation, and PPKM-Emergency with positive differences. Finally, the restaurant sector found negative and significant differences during PSBB Transitional-I and positive trade volume differences during PPKM-Zonation
