Abstract

Tudung laut mengandung zat warna yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber bahan pewarna yang dapat diekstraksi dengan metode ekstraksi padat-cair, dengan menggunakan air sebagai pelarut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu ekstraksi dengan warna yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan secara experimental yaitu penyiapan bahan baku, tahap ekstraksi dan penguapan, dan tahapan warna. Variabel yang digunakan adalah suhu 25°C, 50°C, 75°C dan 100°C serta waktu ekstraksi 1,5; 2.5; 3,5 dan 4,5 jam, ukuran serbuk 40 mesh. Perbandingan pelarut dengan air adalah 1:10. Untuk membentuk bubuk pewarna, larutan hasil ekstraksi dikeringkan dalam oven pada suhu 105˚°C selama 3 jam. Kadar zat warna maksimum diperoleh pada kondisi proses dengan suhu ekstraksi 100°C dan waktu ekstraksi 4 jam yaitu 1,85 gram. Warna yang dihasilkan adalah hijau muda-hijau tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu ekstraksi berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan zat warna yang dihasilkan. Simpulan pewarna terbanyak diperoleh pada suhu 100°C dengan waktu ekstraksi 4 jam pada mesh 30 dengan berat endapan zat warna 1,85 gram.

Abstract

Background: Mother's milk is the best food for babies aged 0 – 6 months. Babies who are not exclusively breastfed have a greater risk of death due to malnutrition. The failure factor for exclusive breastfeeding can be caused by various circumstances and regional factors. Objective: Knowing what are the factors that influence the failure of exclusive breastfeeding in six-month-old babies Method: The research design used is cross-sectional, using a total sampling technique. The sample used was 28 respondents who were tested using the Chi-square test. Data was collected using a closed questionnaire where respondents provided responses in the form of answer choices on the questionnaire. Data analysed using Fisher’s exact test, the p-value used was 0.05. Results: The results showed that there was no relationship between maternal age with a p-value of 0.284, education level with a p-value of 0.114, knowledge of breast milk with a p-value of 1.000, maternal employment with a p-value of 1.000 with exclusive breastfeeding failure and there was a relationship between family support with a p-value of <0.001 to exclusive breastfeeding failure. the cause of exclusive breastfeeding failure. evidenced by the existence of a relationship with a p-value <0.05. Conclusion: There is no relationship between maternal age, education, knowledge, and occupation. There is a relationship between family support and factors that influence the occurrence of exclusive breastfeeding failure.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Stimuno Syrup as an immunomodulator in improving the immune system. A descriptive-analytical approach is used to collect information on the composition, active ingredients, and efficacy claims of Stimuno Syrup from various reliable sources, including scientific literature and information from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). The composition analysis of Stimuno Syrup includes the identification of the main active ingredients, the content of the active substances, as well as the evaluation of the product packaging and label. Furthermore, empirical data from preclinical and clinical studies were evaluated to provide a comprehensive picture of the efficacy and safety of Stimuno Syrup. The results of this study are expected to provide a clearer understanding of the potential of traditional medicine in the modern context as well as provide stronger scientific support for the use of Stimuno Syrup as an alternative in maintaining health and increasing immunity.

Abstract

Maggot termasuk dalam serangga decomposer yang mampu mengolah material organik. Dalam mengolah material organik maggot tidak memilih makanan yang dikehendaki akan tetapi maggot dipaksa memakan media yang di berikan yang berakhibat kandungan protein dari magot itu. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kandungan protein magot berdasarkan perbedaan media makan maggot. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perbedaan media makan maggot yaitu sampah daun daunan, buah buahan , hewan dan rumah tangga. Analasis hasil yang digunakan adalah penepatan kadar protein maggot dengan metode lowry secara spektrofotometri. Hasil dari penelitain ini diperoleh persaman kurva baku Y: 0.009X + 0.0217 dengan nilai R2 adalah 0.9892. Kadar protein maggot dari dengan media sampah daun daunan (29 % ), buah buahan (35% ), hewan ( 43%), rumah tangga (239% ). Kesimpulannya Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan penggunaan media hewan mempunyai kandungan protein tertinggi disusul oleh sampah rumah tangga.

Abstract

Borneo has abundant biodiversity, especially regarding medicinal plants. One of the plants used in traditional medicine by the Dayak tribe in Kalimantan is kaik-kaik (Uncaria cordata (Lour.) Merr.), so research is needed to evaluate the activity of this plant. One of the methods used to assess its medicinal properties is through its antioxidant activity. This research aimed to test the antioxidant activity of various fractions derived from U. cordata stems. The study began with ethanol extraction followed by fractionation using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and distilled water. The extracts and fractions obtained were then tested for antioxidant activity using the DPPH radical capture method. The results indicated that the n-hexane fraction, with a yield of 0.69%, contains terpenoids/steroids, alkaloids, and flavonoids; the ethyl acetate fraction, with a yield of 1.453%, contains alkaloids and flavonoids; and the distilled water fraction, with a yield of 4.832%, contains saponins, tannins, alkaloids, phenols, and flavonoids. The n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and distilled water fractions exhibited antioxidant capacity with IC₅₀ values of 138.39 ± 0.3777 ppm, 48.51 ± 0.056 ppm, and 36.31 ± 0.111 ppm, respectively. This research concluded that the distilled water fraction was the most active and is classified as a very strong antioxidant.

Abstract

Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi oleh mitra POKMAS Barokah Jaya Mandiri adalah harga pakan pellet yang mahal sehingga tidak dapat menutupi biaya budidayanya. Hal inipun pasti dirasakan juga oleh para ternak ikan. Mitra POKMAS ini bertempat di Kelurahan Landasan Ulin, Kecamatan Liang Anggang, Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan dengan bidang fokus pengembangan di ternak ikan lele. Terdapat alternatif pakan ikan yang dapat dikembangbiakkan dan mengandung protein yang tinggi yaitu Maggot dari lalat Black Soldier Fly. Adanya pakan Maggot dapat mengurangi kebutuhan pakan ikan pellet sehingga pengeluaran dapat ditekan. Maggot merupakan predator dari sampah organik bahkan sisa makanannya bisa dijadikan pupuk organik. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan sosialisasi, pemberian materi, pelatihan, pendampingan dalam budidaya Maggot, analisis stok pakan dan manajerialnya serta pengisian kuisioner kepuasan mitra terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan. Dilakukan pretes dan postes untuk mengetahui pengetahuan mitra tentang budidaya Maggot. Hasil kegiatan didapatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan mitra dalam proses budidaya Maggot sebagai pakan ikan, dan peningkatan manajerial mitra. Hasil peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai proses budidaya Maggot meningkat sebesar sebesar 100% dikarenakan mitra belum mengenal dan mengetahui Maggot untuk pakan ikan. Selain itu, tersedia pakan Maggot bernutrisi tinggi yang dapat diperjualbelikan. Mitra sangat antusias dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini dengan tingkat kepuasan “Sangat Puas”. Abstract. One of the problem by POKMAS Barokah Jaya Mandiri is the pellet price is so expensive. This must also be felt by fish farmers. This POKMAS is located in Landasan Ulin Village, Liang Anggang District, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan with a focus on catfish farming. There is an alternative fish feed that can be bred and contains high protein, namely Maggot from the Black Soldier Fly. Activities are carried out through socialization, providing materials, training, assistance in Maggot cultivation, analysis of feed stocks and their management, and filling out a partner satisfaction questionnaire regarding the implementation of activities. Pretests and posttests were carried out to determine partner knowledge about Maggot cultivation. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in partner skills in the process of cultivating Maggot as fish feed, and an increase in partner management. The results of the increase in knowledge and skills regarding the Maggot cultivation process increased by 100% because partners did not know and were not familiar with Maggot for fish feed. In addition, there is a high-nutrient Maggot feed that can be traded. Partners are very enthusiastic in carrying out this activity with a satisfaction level of "Very Satisfied".

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Tumbuhan Bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi dikembangkan menjadi obat tradisional dimana tanaman bajakah ini memiliki bioaktivitas sebagai penyembuh luka, antibakteri, anti kanker, dan antioksidan. Bajakah merupakan segala bentuk akar – akaran yang secara empiris digunakan oleh Masyarakat Kalimantan sebagai obat tradisionaluntuk berbagai penyakit seperti kanker, tumor, luka penuaan dini, diabetes, dan lain – lain. Jamur endofit digunakan untuk untuk memperoleh senyawa bioaktif yang leih efisien. Jamur endofit yang didapat dari tumbuhan dapat menghasilkan senyawa yang sama dengan inangnya. Jamur endofit sebagai penghasil senyawa aktif berpotensi sebagai produsen bahan baku obat. Tujuan: Melihat senyawa pada jamur endofit batang bajakah pada GCMS dan potensinya sebagai antioksidan. Metode: Metode yang digunaka npada penelitian ini adalah True Experimental dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi isolate jamur endofit dari batang bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) sebagai antioksidan. Dengan melakukan pengamatan dan pengukuran pada nilai IC50 dan mengidentifikasi kandungan senyawa batang bajakah pada GC-MS Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil analisis GC-MS isolat jamur endofit batang bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) menunjukan banyaknya senyawa yang ditunjukan oleh jumlah (peak) oleh kromatogram sebesar 35 senyawa yang terdeteksi. Berdasarkan hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan isolat jamur endofit menunjukanadanya aktivitas antioksidan. Nilai IC50 dari isolat bajakah sebesar 6,505 ppm dan termasuk kategori sangat kuat. Simpulan: Didapatkan 35 senyawa pada pengujian GCMS. Nilai IC50 dari isolat bajakah sebesar 6,505 ppm dan termasuk kategori sangat kuat.

Abstract

Senyawa bioaktif tanaman bangkal (Nauclea subdita) menghasilkan senyawa metabolit sekunder seperti tanin, fenolik, steroid dan senyawa alkaloid. Tetapi belum ditemukan bukti penelitian ilmiah yang menyatakan bahwa akar tanaman bangkal (Nauclea subdita) dapat digunakan sebagai antibakteri. Menguji aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak akar kayu bangkal (Nauclea subdita), konsentrasi hambat minimun (KHM) ekstrak akar kayu bangkal (Nauclea subdita) dan konsentrasi bunuh minimun (KBM) ekstrak akar kayu bangkal (Nauclea subdita) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian eksperimental sesungguhnya (True Eksperimental Research) untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol akar kayu bangkal (Nauclea subdita) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Desain penelitian Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Posttest-Only Control Group Design dilakukan secara kelompok eksperimen maupun kelompok control, baik dalam kelompok eksperimen maupun kelompok kontrol akan dibandingkan yang dimana kelas eksperimen akan mendapatkan perlakuan sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak mendapatkan perlakuan. Akar kayu bangkal (Nauclea subdita) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus, memiliki kemampuan sebagai antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dengan zona hambat 13,2 mm yang termasuk kedalam kategori zona hambat kuat sesuai hasil skrining aktivitas antibakteri serta memiliki kemampuan daya hambat (KHM) pada konsentrasi 100 mg/L dengan nilai sig. Kruskal-Wallis Test adalah 1.000 dan nilai signifikansi pada Mann-Whitney Test adalah 1.000. Akar kayu bangkal (Nauclea subdita) tidak memiliki kemampuan daya bunuh (KBM) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa akar kayu bangkal (Nauclea subdita) memiliki kemampuan sebagai antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus, tetapi tidak memiliki kemampuan daya bunuh (KBM) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Peatland is a type of soil with a high organic content, typically more than 65 percent organic matter, high acidity, and low nutrient content. Vernonia cinerea, also known as Sawi Langit (Vernonia cinerea L.) in Indonesia, is one of the nutritious plants. The community uses this herb to treat fevers, wounds, discomfort, and ulcers. The secondary metabolite concentration of plants in peatlands is affected by nutrients such as carbon, nitrogen, and pH. Find out the secondary metabolite content of Sawi Langit leaf extract and the total flavonoid levels that grown on peatlands. The Rf value was estimated after the descriptive observational approach was obtained from the Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) profile of secondary metabolites with spray reagents, and the quantitative data was determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Sawi Langit plants were found growing on peatlands with a pH of 3.77, N-total of 1.51%, and C-Organic of 4.16%. The best eluent for separating compounds is chloroform: methanol: water (2:5:3) for flavonoid compounds, ethyl acetate: methanol: water (16:1:2) for alkaloid compounds, chloroform: methanol (9:1) for steroid compounds, n-hexane: ethyl acetate (12:8) for terpenoid compounds, ethyl acetic: chloroform: acetic acid (15:5:2) for tannin compounds, and chloroform: ethanol: water (10:6:1) for saponin compounds. Sawi langit leaf extract has a total flavonoid concentration of 5.527 mgQE (Quersetin Equivalent)/g. Flavonoid, alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, tannins, and saponins compounds were found in the TLC profile of Sawi Langit leaf extract, and the total flavonoid content of the leaf extract of Sawi Langit was 5.527 mgQE (Quersetin Equivalent)/g.

Abstract

The use of traditional medicine continues to grow rapidly in Indonesia, reflecting the country's abundant natural and cultural wealth. One of the leading herbal medicine products is Tolak Angin, which is produced by PT. Sidomuncul Herbal and Pharmaceutical Industry, Tbk. Tolak Angin is a Standardized Herbal Medicine (OHT) that has been scientifically tested for its safety, quality, and benefits. This article presents an overview of the ingredients, production process, and clinical trials of Tolak Angin, as well as its impact in the context of Indonesian public health. By involving literature studies and secondary data analysis, this article highlights the importance of standardization in the development of effective and safe traditional medicine products. In conclusion, Tolak Angin not only represents local cultural heritage and knowledge, but also plays a vital role in providing affordable and reliable treatment alternatives for the community.
