Abstract

Character education plays a crucial role in shaping the quality of elementary school students, equipping them to face the challenges of the globalization era. The increasingly rapid development of science and technology demands that students possess not only academic abilities but also strong attitudes, moral values, and social skills. This study aims to analyze the role of character education as a strategy for improving the competitiveness of elementary school students. The method used was a literature review, reviewing various relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of character education integrated into the learning process can foster discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and self-confidence in students. These values are crucial factors in enhancing students' adaptability and competitiveness amidst global competition. Furthermore, the success of character education depends not only on the school environment but also requires the active participation of families and communities. Therefore, the implementation of character education needs to be carried out consistently and sustainably to produce a generation that is not only intellectually superior but also possesses integrity and high competitiveness.

Abstract

In today's digital age, devices such as smartphones and tablets have become essential to the daily lives of elementary school children. This, in turn, has a number of significant consequences for their social development, including both positive and more serious negative effects. This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of these influences by applying a comprehensive literature review approach, compiling and analyzing findings from relevant, recent scientific journals. The method used was a rigorous systematic literature review, drawing on sources from accredited journals published between 2018 and 2025, with a primary focus on empirical research in Indonesia. The analysis revealed that negative impacts were more pronounced, such as a decline in the quality of direct social relationships, the emergence of antisocial behavior, and a reduced capacity for empathy among students. Meanwhile, the observed positive effects were limited to increased creativity through digital communication and better access to information. Overall, the study's conclusions emphasize the need for close supervision by parents and educators to mitigate potential risks and provide practical advice on limiting daily gadget use within safe limits.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas permasalahan rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar yang sering disebabkan oleh kurangnya kesempatan untuk berinteraksi secara verbal di dalam kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas metode role playing dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa melalui pendekatan kajian literatur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis berbagai artikel ilmiah, jurnal, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa metode role playing memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa, meliputi aspek pelafalan, kelancaran, kepercayaan diri, serta kemampuan mengungkapkan gagasan. Metode ini mampu menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan interaktif sehingga mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif berpartisipasi dan berlatih berbicara dalam situasi yang bermakna. Selain itu, role playing juga meningkatkan kerja sama, kreativitas, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode role playing merupakan strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar, sebagaimana didukung oleh berbagai temuan empiris dalam literatur.

Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural menjadi bagian penting dalam pendidikan dasar karena sekolah dasar merupakan ruang awal bagi siswa untuk mengenal, menerima, dan menghargai keberagaman. Pembahasan yang secara khusus menghubungkan implementasi pendidikan multikultural dengan pembentukan kesadaran sosial siswa sekolah dasar masih perlu diperkuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan multikultural dalam membangun kesadaran sosial siswa sekolah dasar. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode literature review. Sumber data diperoleh dari artikel ilmiah, prosiding, dan hasil penelitian yang relevan dengan pendidikan multikultural, kesadaran sosial, toleransi, empati, kerja sama, serta penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelusuran literatur pada Google Scholar, Garuda, DOAJ, dan portal jurnal nasional, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural dapat diterapkan melalui integrasi nilai keberagaman dalam pembelajaran, pembiasaan sikap toleran, kegiatan kolaboratif, budaya sekolah yang inklusif, dan keteladanan guru. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan multikultural berperan dalam membangun empati, kepedulian sosial, kerja sama, dan sikap saling menghargai.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the importance of non-academic appreciation in building the confidence of elementary school students. The research uses a qualitative approach with a type of library research that focuses on the analysis of various scientific literature on strengthening self-efficacy, non-academic awards, and psychological development of elementary school-age children. Data collection was carried out through documentation studies of books, journal articles, and research results obtained from Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and the Garuda Portal. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data classification, data interpretation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that non-academic appreciation has a significant influence on the formation of confidence and self-efficacy of elementary school students. Recognition of talents in the fields of art, sports, leadership, and social character can increase intrinsic motivation, courage to try new things, and students' mental resilience in the face of academic pressure. In addition, non-academic appreciation also acts as a psychological buffer that helps students reduce their sense of inferiority due to academic comparisons in the school environment. This study concludes that elementary schools need to build a learning environment that is inclusive and friendly to the diversity of students' potential through collaboration between teachers and parents in providing recognition for each child's talents and efforts.

Abstract

Child development during elementary school is a crucial phase in the development of cognitive, social, and emotional abilities, which serve as the foundation for subsequent growth. Cognitive-wise, children experience improvements in logical thinking, understanding concrete concepts, and solving simple problems in an organized manner. Socially, children begin to learn to interact more broadly with peers, understand norms, and develop cooperation and empathy. Emotionally, children begin to recognize, regulate, and express feelings more appropriately, although they still require guidance from their surroundings. This study aims to examine in depth the development of elementary school-aged children in these three aspects and their relationship to the learning process. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various relevant sources using a qualitative approach. The findings of this study indicate that cognitive, social, and emotional development are interrelated and influence children's learning success. Therefore, an active role is needed from teachers and parents in creating an environment that can support children's optimal development.
