Abstract

Education at the elementary school level plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character as a foundation for future personality development. At the elementary school age, children are in a stage of moral and social development that is strongly influenced by the learning environment, daily interactions, and concrete experiences they encounter at school. Therefore, character education in elementary schools needs to be designed not only through cognitive instruction but also through meaningful, contextual learning experiences that engage students’ affective and psychomotor domains. Humanistic values represent a set of values that place human beings at the center of the educational process. The research methodology used in this study is qualitative research with a case study design. This approach is employed to gain an in-depth understanding of how humanistic values are implemented in Tatanén learning activities at Balé Atikan and how these values contribute to strengthening students’ character. Overall, the findings indicate that Tatanén learning at Bale Atikan in SDN 2 Tanjungsari has effectively served as a medium for implementing humanistic values. Through activities such as farming, caring for the environment, working in groups, engaging in reflection, and making meaning of each process involved, students gain authentic learning experiences that reinforce values of empathy, responsibility, independence, care, cooperation, and respect for life.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of Grade VI students at SD Negeri Lasoani in Social Studies through the application of the STAD cooperative learning model. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, often referred to as PTK in Indonesia. The focus of this research is on efforts to improve the quality of learning and the educational process in the classroom through actions or strategies implemented by the teacher. In Cycle I, student learning outcomes were still low, so a reflection was conducted to address the identified shortcomings. In Cycle II, after improvements were made, 17 out of 20 students (85%) achieved mastery, meeting the research success criteria (70%). The teacher communicated the results of Cycle I to the students, identified the weaknesses, and encouraged students to be more active in learning so that their learning outcomes would improve. The research results show an improvement in student learning outcomes using the STAD cooperative learning model in Social Studies for Grade VI students at SD Negeri Lasoani. In Cycle I, the classical mastery percentage reached 50%, while in Cycle II it increased to 80%, with a percentage score of 70%. The use of this model successfully improved student learning outcomes and created a fun, active, creative, and innovative learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between beginning reading ability and the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Panjo. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The subjects of this study were all 24 third-grade students of SDN Panjo. Data were collected through observation, beginning reading ability tests, and documentation of students’ learning outcomes. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis to describe students’ beginning reading abilities and learning outcomes, as well as inferential statistical analysis to examine the relationship between variables. The inferential analysis used the Spearman Rank correlation technique, as the data were not normally distributed and the sample size was relatively small. Hypothesis testing was conducted at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05) with a sample size of 24 students. The results of the inferential statistical analysis showed that the calculated correlation coefficient (r_calculated) was greater than the critical value (r_table), namely 0.490 > 0.404. This finding indicates that there is a significant relationship between beginning reading ability (variable X) and students’ learning outcomes (variable Y) of third-grade students at SDN Panjo.

Abstract

Despite progressive curriculum reforms emphasizing student-centered learning in Indonesia's Kurikulum Merdeka, elementary IPAS instruction remains predominantly teacher-centered, limiting student engagement and conceptual understanding. This classroom action research employed Kemmis and McTaggart's cyclical model across two intervention cycles with 28 Grade IV students at SD Inpres Perumnas Palu. Data were collected through achievement tests, structured observations of teacher and student activities, and field documentation. Analysis integrated quantitative measures of learning mastery with qualitative assessment of instructional processes using Miles and Huberman's framework. Classical mastery remained stable between pre-action baseline (28.57%) and Cycle I (28.57%), indicating that procedural implementation alone proved insufficient. Following targeted refinements in Cycle II—including enhanced scaffolding, systematic group monitoring, and explicit instructional guidance—classical mastery increased dramatically to 85.71%, surpassing the 80% success criterion. Student activity improved from 58% to 69.5%, while teacher activity increased from 55% to 68%. Findings demonstrate that Jigsaw cooperative learning effectiveness depends critically on implementation quality rather than structural arrangements alone. Results align with constructivist and sociocultural learning theories, particularly Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development, confirming that appropriately scaffolded peer interaction enables students to achieve understanding beyond independent capabilities. The study extends predominantly Western cooperative learning scholarship into Indonesian elementary contexts, providing empirical evidence for pedagogically thoughtful implementation strategies.

Abstract

Traditional teacher-centered instruction in Indonesian elementary schools limits student engagement and conceptual understanding, particularly in integrated science curricula. This study investigated the effectiveness of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning in improving IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning outcomes among fifth-grade students. Employing classroom action research design, this study implemented STAD across two iterative cycles with 32 fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Perumnas Palu during the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through achievement tests, structured classroom observations, and teacher interviews. Quantitative analysis measured individual and classical mastery rates, while qualitative analysis using the Miles and Huberman framework examined engagement patterns and implementation quality. Classical mastery increased substantially from 19% at baseline to 40% in Cycle I and 87% in Cycle II, exceeding the 80% success criterion. Mean achievement scores rose 65% from 49.29 to 81.15. Student engagement improved from 70% to 86%, while teacher implementation quality increased from 75% to 83%. Heterogeneous grouping facilitated effective peer scaffolding, with proportionally greater gains among initially lower-performing students. STAD effectively enhances both academic achievement and student engagement in integrated science instruction. The study demonstrates that structured cooperative learning, supported by reflective practice and iterative refinement, operationalizes constructivist principles and supports holistic student development in resource-constrained educational contexts.

Abstract

Land rights certificates constitute strong and highly significant evidence of land ownership. This study aims to examine legal certainty and legal protection for holders of land rights certificates in both conventional and electronic forms. The transition from a conventional system to a digital one gives rise to significant legal consequences for land rights holders. Legal protection is intended to safeguard land rights that may be harmed by other individuals or parties. This research employs a normative juridical approach, conducted through the examination and analysis of legal provisions, legal principles, and statutory regulations relevant to the subject of the study. With the enactment of Government Regulation Number 18 of 2021, a new form of land rights certificate has been introduced, namely the electronic certificate. However, this regulation does not revoke Government Regulation Number 24 of 1997. Consequently, conventional land certificates remain valid as long as no application for a change in certificate form is submitted or no transfer of land rights occurs. The simultaneous application of these two Government Regulations has the potential to create regulatory overlap, which may undermine legal certainty and legal protection for holders of land rights certificates. Therefore, the establishment of regulations of equal or higher hierarchical status is necessary to strengthen legal certainty and legal protection.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Talking Stick cooperative learning model on students' learning outcomes in science subjects at SDN Tindaki. The background of this research is the relatively low learning outcomes of students in science subjects. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is needed to improve students' understanding and participation during the learning process. This research employed a quantitative, pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest method. The study subjects were 16 fifth-grade students from SDN Tindaki. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, and analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, including a t-test after satisfying normality test requirements. The results showed that the average pretest score was 56.25, while the average posttest score increased to 81.56. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the calculated t-value (13.27) was greater than the t-table value (2.131) at the 0.05 significance level. This indicates that the cooperative learning model of the Talking Stick type significantly improves students' learning outcomes in science subjects for fifth-grade students at SDN Tindaki.
