Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sentiment of user reviews of the Toco e-commerce application using the Naïve Bayes Multinomial algorithm. The dataset consists of 1425 reviews with an unbalanced distribution between positive and negative classes. Review data was collected from the Google Play Store platform, then processed automatically through the stages of case folding, normalization, stopword removal, and stemming. Modeling was carried out by dividing the data into training and test data, and classifying sentiment using the Naïve Bayes approach. From the evaluation results, the model's accuracy in sentiment classification reached 88%, with higher performance achieved in the majority class (positive) compared to the minority class (negative), as reflected in the low precision and recall values. This study emphasizes the need to handle unbalanced data so that the analysis results reflect the diverse perceptions of users. This research provides a baseline for sentiment analysis for local e-commerce applications and contributes to the development of automated analytics systems to support decision-making in the Indonesian e-commerce industry.

Abstract

Enhancement of public institution performance does not depend solely on administrative system and procedural but also about the strength of values underlying behavior. This research aims to test the effect of organizational culture and compensation on performance thorough motivation as a mediating variable by using a shariah valued public management approach. The study was conducted at the ad hoc body General Election Commission (KPU) Mojokerto City Boa... consisting of sub-district election committee (PPK) and voting committee (PPS) in 2024 election. This research used an explanatory quantitative design based on a survey, with data collection through questionnaires to 69 respondents, as well as analysis using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that organizational culture has positive and significant effects on motivation (ß = 0.404, p < 0.001) and performance (ß = 0.269, p = 0.009). Compensation has positive and significant effects on motivation (ß = 0.410, p < 0.001), but it has no direct effect on performance (ß = 0.120, p = 0.151). Motivation has positive and significant effects on performance (ß = 0.483, p < 0.001), and is shown to mediate the relationship between organizational culture and performance (indirect effect = 0.195, p = 0.009) and between compensation and performance (indirect effect = 0.198, p = 0.008). These findings confirm motivation as a psychological and moral mechanism that connects your culture compensation system to performance in public organizations. In shariah values context, work culture based on justice, responsibility, and integrity is able to foster continuous intrinsic motivation. This research contributes to strengthening shariah values public management theory and has practical implications for human resources policy development in public institutions to be more oriented towards ethical and spiritual values that can increase performance in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The performance of government employees plays an essential role in ensuring the delivery of effective, responsive, and accountable public services. In practice, differences in leadership approaches, human resource capacity development, and adherence to work rules often create variations in performance across organizational units. This study seeks to explore how these three factors contribute to the performance of government personnel. A quantitative explanatory design was applied in this study. The research respondents were 124 government officials working in 12 sub-districts in Lowokwaru District, Malang City, selected using census techniques. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires with a Likert scale and processed using multiple regression techniques. The results indicate that leadership practices, human resource development efforts, and work discipline are all positively associated with employee performance. Among them, human resource development emerges as the most influential factor. Collectively, these variables provide a substantial explanation of performance variation, indicating a strong model fit. In summary, enhancing government employees' performance requires a balanced effort to strengthen leadership quality, continuously develop employee competencies, and maintain consistent work discipline.
