Abstract

Abstrak. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk memperkuat kompetensi pedagogis dan keterampilan pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi guru-guru di CLC Ladang Suai 2, Sarawak–Malaysia melalui pelatihan mendongeng. Kebutuhan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran muncul dari keterbatasan guru dalam menggunakan media kreatif serta metode bercerita yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa siswa Indonesia di wilayah perkebunan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan melalui observasi dan wawancara, penyampaian materi dasar mengenai teori mendongeng dan strategi pembelajaran, demonstrasi serta praktik mendongeng dengan pendekatan learning by doing, dan evaluasi melalui penilaian performa, refleksi, dan kuesioner kepuasan. Peserta pelatihan berjumlah 12 guru. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam aspek vokal, ekspresi, alur cerita, dan pemanfaatan alat bantu visual, dengan 92% peserta menyatakan pelatihan sangat relevan dan 85% merasa lebih percaya diri mengajar menggunakan metode mendongeng; peningkatan performa guru mencapai rata-rata 40%. Implikasi kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa mendongeng merupakan strategi efektif untuk memperkuat literasi dasar, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, serta menciptakan pembelajaran yang komunikatif di CLC, sekaligus menjadi alternatif untuk mengatasi keterbatasan fasilitas dan sumber ajar. Saran kegiatan meliputi pentingnya pendampingan berkelanjutan, penyusunan modul mendongeng yang kontekstual, serta pelatihan lanjutan berbasis media digital sederhana guna memperkaya kreativitas guru.Kata Kunci: Literasi, Pelatihan Mendongeng, Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia,

Abstract

Kapata is an oral literature that reflects the identity of the Maluku community. Kapata, as an oral tradition product, takes the form of engaging texts. This study aims to identify the form of oral speech in Central Maluku. The data collection method identifies the kapata poems by reading and recording data according to the research focus. The data for this research are kapata poems, while the data source is a collection of kapata poems. This research phase includes the process of (1) reduction, (2) presentation, and (3) conclusion. The data analysis theory used is Walter J Ong's theory of oral analysis. The results of the study found that there were nine forms of orality in words, which included (1) additive, (2) aggregative, (3) redundant, (4) conservative, (5) close to human life, (6) agonistic, (7) empathic, (8) homeostatic, and (9) situational. AbstrakKapata merupakan sastra lisan yang menunjukkan identitas masyarakat Maluku. Kapata sebagai produk kelisanan memiliki wujud teks yang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi wujud kelisanan kapata Maluku Tengah. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melakukan identifikasi terhadap syair-syair kapata dengan cara membaca dan mencatat data sesuai fokus penelitian. Data penelitin ini merupakan syair-syair kapata, sedangkan sumber datanya adalah buku kumpulan syair-syair kapata. Tahap penelitian ini meliputi proses (1) reduksi, (2) penyajian, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Teori analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan teori analisis kelisanan Walter J Ong. Hasil penelitian ditemukan ada 9 wujud kelisanan dalam kapata yang meliputi, (1) aditif, (2) agregatif, (3) redundansi, (4) konservatif, (5) dekat dengan kehidupan manusia, (6) agonistik, (7) empatik, (8) homeostatis, dan (9) situasional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the creation of fantasy and discourse in BLACKPINK K-Pop. This research used a qualitative research using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis approach. Research data collections included documentation and in-depth interviews. The data sources of this research were photos of BLACKPINK members and verbal utterances. The data analysis of this research included the processes of (1) reduction, (2) presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions. The results showed that the dimensions of the text showed fantasy because of the fashion and beauty figures of its members. This fantasy proved the existence of power relation possessed by BLACKPINK because it can cause fanaticism for fans. The creation of texts in BLACKPINK figures, as a form of cultural resistance to western hegemony, created hybrid culture as a new identity that shown by fans. The fanaticism shown by fans proved that they were one dimensional society. Social practices that encourage the emergence of BLACKPINK were inseparable from the influence of global culture and the management capabilities of the South Korean (K-Pop) music industry. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penciptaan fantasi dan wacana pada K-Pop BLACKPINK.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini mencakup studi dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam. Sumber data penelitian ini ialah teks foto BLACKPINK dan tuturan verbal. Analisis data penelitian ini mencakup proses (1) reduksi, (2) penyajian, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi teks menunjukkan fantasi karena penampilan fashion dan figur kecantikan anggotanya. Fantasi ini membuktikan adanya relasi kekuasaan yang dimiliki BLACKPINK karena menimbulkan fanatisme bagi penggemarnya. Penciptaan teks dalam figur BLACKPINK sebagai bentuk perlawanan budaya terhadap hegemoni barat yang menimbulkan budaya hibrid sebagai identitas baru yang ditampilkannya. Fanatisme yang ditunjukkan penggemar membuktikan mereka sebagai one dimensional society. Praktik sosial yang mendorong kemunculan BLACKPINK tidak terlepas dari pengaruh budaya global dan kemampuan manajemen industri musik K-Pop Korea Selatan.

Abstract

The investigation of general criminal offenses exhibits several implementation-related phenomena, including wrongful arrests and an overreliance on eliciting confessions from examinees. This study focuses on the investigative process as reflected in the verbaal van verhoor (interrogation record). Within investigative interactions, the object of analysis is the investigator’s MOOD system. MOOD is selected because, as a linguistic resource within the interpersonal meaning domain of Systemic Functional Linguistics, it constitutes the lexicogrammatical basis through which investigators organize meaning exchange in investigative conversations in accordance with particular aims or interests. This research adopts a critical qualitative approach, employed to critically and emancipatorily uncover the realities of investigators’ language use. The study is designed as a case study, examining a general criminal case at the investigation stage within the police institution. The findings indicate that investigative conversations in this case contain 25 instances of MOOD usage by the investigator. The investigator's dominant status and the pursuit of confession drive the interaction, as shown by these results. This study makes two concrete contributions: (1) serving as a reference for the development of emancipatory investigative questioning instruments, and (2) informing the development of teaching materials for forensic linguistics courses using a Systemic Functional Linguistics approach. Future research may employ comparative units drawn from other criminal cases or specific contexts, such as doctor-patient interactions

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the STEAM learning model in improving the ecoliteracy skills of elementary school students, with the hypothesis that this interdisciplinary approach can have a significant effect on students' knowledge, attitudes, cognitive skills, and pro-environmental behavior. The study used a quantitative approach with a one group pretest-posttest type pre-experiment design. The research location was at SDI Hartaco Indah Makassar, with a sample size of 25 students selected purposively. Data collection instruments include pretest and posttest tests, observation sheets, and student questionnaires, which have been validated through expert judgment and tested for reliability with Cronbach's Alpha. Data analysis was done descriptively and inferentially, including normality test and paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in all indicators of student ecoliteracy with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), as well as an average N-Gain value of 0.627 which is classified as a moderate category. This finding indicates that STEAM-based learning is able to integrate elements of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in a contextual manner to shape students' ecological awareness and behavior. The implications of this study support the importance of developing interdisciplinary learning models in elementary schools as a strategy to strengthen applicable and sustainable environmental education.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the representation of climate crisis discourse in modern media using Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework. It focuses on how language is used to frame climate change issues, uncover underlying ideologies, and examine power relations among state actors, corporations, and civil society. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research analyzes news texts discussing climate change, energy transition, and environmental policies. Data were examined through the three CDA dimensions, textual, discursive, and social practices, to reveal meaning construction and ideological tendencies within media narratives. The findings indicate that climate crisis discourse in the media predominantly emphasizes technocratic solutions, institutional moral responsibility, and international cooperation, while marginalizing civil society participation. At the social level, media reproduce the ideology of green capitalism and sustainable development that prioritize efficiency, investment, and global partnership. The results demonstrate that climate issue representation in media is not neutral but shaped by economic–political interests and global power structures. Therefore, fostering critical media literacy and promoting inclusive, transformative alternative discourses are essential for developing ecological awareness among younger generations, particularly Generation Z.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to foster awareness and competence among students of SMK Telkom Makassar in building a culture of peace through peaceful language and civic peace training. The training was designed as an applied form of character and citizenship education within the context of a technology-based vocational school. The participatory training method involved discussion, simulation, case reflection, and collaborative projects. The results show an improvement in students’ ability to identify hate speech, transform violent language into peaceful expressions, and enhance their sense of digital citizenship responsibility. Furthermore, students demonstrated higher awareness of empathetic communication and constructive conflict resolution. This program is expected to serve as a model for peace education that can be replicated in other vocational schools.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dibidang Pendidikan terus mengalami disrupsi setiap tahunnya, salah satu contohnya penggunaan Massive Open Online Course (MOOCs). Namun rendahnya tingkat penyelesaian pengguna menimbulkan tantangan bagi pengembangan pendidikan dan platform MOOCs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat keberlanjutan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar untuk menggunakan MOOCs dengan memanfaatkan Teori Penerimaan Model Teknologi (TAM) dan Teori Teknologi Kesesuaian Tugas (TTF). Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain longitudinal. Data diperoleh melalui penggunaan lembar kuesioner atau angket, yang diisi oleh 81 responden. Dalam proses analisis data, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, termasuk perhitungan rata-rata, median, modus, jumlah, nilai maksimum, dan nilai minimum.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa UNM memiliki pandangan positif terhadap MOOCs, mencerminkan tingkat keberlanjutan yang tinggi di kalangan mereka.Dengan begitu, penelitian ini tidak hanya memberi pengetahuan baru tentang bagaimana aspek TAM dan TTF berpengaruh dalam tingkat keberlanjutan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan MOOCs tapi juga memberi perspektif baru bagi penyedia platform MOOCs untuk terus mengembangkan kualitas platform mereka.

Abstract

The purpose of this service discusses efforts to increase the capacity of teachers in writing scientific articles by utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through an Action Research approach, teachers are directly involved in the process of improving and developing their abilities in digital literacy and scientific article writing techniques. The community service stage involves systematic steps to achieve the goal of improving teachers' ability to utilise AI. The results of the community service show an increase in teachers' ability to write scientific articles, which is expected to improve the quality of their scientific publications. With a better understanding of AI, teachers are expected to integrate this technology effectively in learning, creating a more innovative and adaptive learning environment. In conclusion, this service makes a real contribution in improving teachers' digital literacy and scientific article writing skills, and provides a foundation for the development of future service activities.
