Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman makrofauna tanah berdasarkan distribusi vertikal tanah di kawasan Dieng. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kawasan Dieng, Laboratorium Biologi UNNES dan Laboratorium Mekanika Tanah UNDIP. Pengambilan sampel makrofauna tanah dilakukan di berbagai ketinggian, pada tempat ternaung dan terdedah, serta pengukuran faktor fisika-kimia tanah. Penelitian menggunakan dua metode yaitu jebakan dan sortir tangan. Sampel selanjutnya diidentifikasi dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan indeks keanekaragaman, kemerataan dan dominansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tiap stasiun jumlah makrofauna tanah berbeda-beda antara tempat ternaung dan terdedah maupun makrofauna permukaan dan di dalam tanahnya. Indeks keanekaragaman makrofauna permukaan tanah pada tiap stasiun lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan makrofauna dalam tanahnya, indeks keanekaragaman pada tempat ternaung juga lebih tinggi daripada tempat terdedah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian,dapat disimpulkan bahwa keanekaragaman makrofauna tanah di kawasan Dieng dengan faktor ketinggian tertentu kurangberpengaruh terhadap indeks keanekaragamannya. Indeks keanekaragaman makrofauna tanah pada stasiun 1, stasiun 2 dan stasiun 3 adalah rendah sampai sedang. Indeks keanekaragaman berkisar antara 0,62 sampai 1,04. Keanekaragaman makrofauna tanah selain dipengaruhi oleh sifat fisika dan kimia tanah, dipengaruhi juga oleh jenis lahan, jenis tanaman, jenis pupuk serta jenis hewan yang terkait dengan makanannya.Saran dari penelitian adalah masyarakat dapat lebih memperhatikan keberadaan makrofauna tanah dengan menjaga lingkungan tanah Dieng sehingga kestabilan dan komunitas makrofauna tanahnya tetap terjaga. The purpose of the research is to determine the diversity of soil macrofauna based on thevertical distribution of soil in the Dieng area. The research was conducted inthe Dieng area, UNNES Biology Laboratory and Soil Mechanics Laboratory UNDIP.Macrofauna soil sampling conducted in various heights, in shady conditions and exposure, as well as the measurement of soil physico-chemical factors.The study used two methods: the traps and hand sorting.Samples are further identified and the data were analyzed with diversity index, evenness and dominance.The results showed that at each station the number of soil macrofauna varies between shady conditions and exposure as well as macrofauna surface and in the soil. Macrofauna diversity index at each station ground level is higher than the macrofauna in the soil, diversity index in shady conditions are higher than the exposure conditions. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the diversity of soil macrofauna in Dieng area by a factor of a certain height less influence on the index of diversity. Soil macrofauna diversity index at station 1, station 2 and station 3 is low to moderate. Diversity index ranged from 0,62 to 1,04. Diversity of soil macrofauna in addition affected by the physical and chemical properties of the soil, influenced also by the type of land, species of plants, type of fertilizer and animal species associated with food. Suggestions from the study is that people can more attention to the presence of macrofauna soil by maintaining soil environment Dieng so that stability and soil macrofauna community is maintained.

Abstract

Stuary crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) is one of the fauna that is protected by Indonesian law because of its high economic value. Publications regarding the success of estuarine crocodile conservation are still small. Efforts can be made to prevent the extinction of estuarine crocodiles through conservation. Semarang Wildlife Park is an ex-situ conservation institution that has succeeded in breeding estuarine crocodiles. This study aims to examine the methods of estuarine crocodile conservation, factors in conservation methods, and the success rate of estuarine crocodile conservation in Semarang Wildlife Park. The research methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the method of estuarine crocodile conservation in Semarang Wildlife Park took the form of breeding activities consisting of management of housing, feed, health, and breeding. The factors that influence conservation success are cage, feed, and weather. The level of success of estuarine crocodile conservation in Semarang Wildlife Park seen from the aspect of DTT 55.4% and MR 29% with criteria quite successful. Suggestions that can be conveyed are Need to do further research on measuring the temperature and humidity of the soil used as nest of estuarine crocodile eggs in the aspect of egg hatching that affect the success of conservation and more intensive management of estuarine crocodile breeding activities in Semarang Wildlife Park for successful conservation. Buaya muara (Crocodylus porosus) merupakan salah satu fauna yang dilindungi perundang-undangan Indonesia karena bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Publikasi mengenai keberhasilan konservasi buaya muara masih sedikit. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah kepunahan buaya muara adalah melalui konservasi. Taman Margasatwa Semarang merupakan lembaga konservasi secara ex-situ yang telah berhasil mengembangbiakkan buaya muara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji metode konservasi buaya muara, faktor-faktor dalam metode konservasi, serta tingkat keberhasilan konservasi buaya muara di Taman Margasatwa Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode konservasi buaya muara di Taman Margasatwa Semarang berupa kegiatan penangkaran yang terdiri dari pengelolaan perkandangan, pakan, kesehatan, dan perkembangbiakan. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan konservasi adalah kandang, pakan, dan cuaca. Tingkat keberhasilan konservasi buaya muara di Taman Margasatwa Semarang dilihat dari aspek DTT 55,4% dan MR 29% dengan kriteria cukup berhasil. Saran yang dapat disampaikan adalah Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai pengukuran suhu dan kelembapan tanah yang digunakan sebagai sarang telur buaya muara dalam aspek penetasan telur yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan konservasi dan Perlu dilakukan pengelolaan lebih intensif mengenai kegiatan penangkaran buaya muara di Taman Margasatwa Semarang agar keberhasilan konservasinya meningkat.

Abstract

Ficus is a genus of woody plants belonged to the family Moraceae. There are about 72 species of Ficus on the Java island. Ficus has many benefits to the ecosystem, which one is the fruit of Ficus is a source of food for many animals (frugivores), especially birds. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of bird species that visited several species of Ficus in the mount Ungaran. The method used in this research is the observation method. From the results of the preliminary survey, determined 6 species of fig as a sample tree to be observed. Observations were made at 06:00 - 10:00 and 15:00 - 17:00. Based on the results of the study, we found 28 species of birds from 16 families who visited fig. The observations showed four different bird activities, namely only perching, eating fruit, eating insects and eating both fruit and insects. The number of bird species of fig visitors consist of 7 species of birds only perching, 8 species eating insects, 11 species eating fruit and 2 species eating both fruit and insects Ficus merupakan salah satu genus dari tumbuhan berkayu yang termasuk dalam famili Moraceae. Terdapat sekitar 72 jenis Ficus di pulau Jawa. Ficus memiliki banyak manfaat terhadap ekosistem, salah satunya adalah buah dari Ficus merupakan sumber pakan bagi banyak satwa (frugivora) terutama burung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis burung yang mengunjungi beberapa jenis Ficus di kawasan gunung Ungaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengamatan. Dari hasil survei pendahuluan, ditentukan 6 jenis Ficus sebagai pohon sampel untuk diamati. Pengamatan dilakukan pada pukul 06.00 – 10.00 dan 15.00 – 17.00. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dijumpai 28 jenis burung dari 16 famili yang mengunjungi Ficus. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan empat aktivitas burung yang berbeda, yaitu hanya bertengger, memakan buah, memakan serangga, serta memakan buah dan serangga. Jumlah jenis burung pengunjung Ficus terdiri atas 7 jenis burung hanya bertengger, 8 jenis memakan serangga, 11 jenis memakan buah, serta 2 jenis memakan buah dan serangga.

Abstract

Timor deer (Cervus timorensis) is one of the endemic animals in Indonesia, whose natural distribution is found in Java, Sulawesi, Maluku and Nusa Tenggara. Timor deer has decreased in population due to habitat loss, habitat degradation, and hunting which causes its status to be vulnerable. Timor deer are conserved ex-situ at the PT. Taman Satwa Semarang. This study aims to assess the suitability of the habitat and welfare level management of Timor deer at PT. Taman Satwa Semarang. This research uses the method of observation and interview methods. Data analysis was carried out descriptively using evaluative comparison method with indicators of habitat suitability and level of animal welfare according to deer breeding requirements, predecessor research and Regulation of the Director General of PHKA Number: P. 6 / IV-SET / 2011. Results of the research on the suitability of the timor deer habitat were seen from the habitat conditions, reproduction and the level of animal welfare. The low birth rate of Timor deer at PT. Taman Satwa Semarang is thought to be due to a lack of feed, sex ratio and absence of marriage management. Animal welfare level at PT. Semarang Animal Park can be categorized as adequate, because there are still animal welfare components that need to be improved by the manager, especially the components that are free from thirst and hunger and free from fear and depression. Rusa timor (Cervus timorensis) merupakan salah satu satwa endemik di Indonesia yang persebaran alaminya terdapat di Pulau Jawa, Sulawesi, Maluku dan Nusa Tenggara. Rusa timor mengalami penurunan populasi akibat hilangnya habitat, degradasi habitat, dan perburuan yang menyebabkan statusnya rentan (vulnerable). Rusa timor dikonservasi secara ex-situ di Lembaga Konservasi PT. Taman Satwa Semarang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji kesesuaian habitat dan manajemen tingkat kesejahteraan rusa timor di PT. Taman Satwa Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan metode observasi dan metode wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan metode perbandingan evaluatif dengan indikator kesesuaian habitat dan tingkat kesejahteraan satwa menurut syarat penangkaran rusa, penelitian pendahulu dan Peraturan Dirjen PHKA Nomor: P. 6/IV-SET/2011. Hasil penelitian kesesuaian habitat rusa timor dilihat dari kondisi habitat, reproduksi dan tingkat kesejahteraan satwa. Rendahnya angka kelahiran rusa timor di PT. Taman Satwa Semarang diduga akibat kurangnya jumlah pakan, sex-ratio dan tidak adanya manajemen perkawinan. Tingkat kesejahteraan satwa di PT. Taman Satwa Semarang dikategorikan cukup baik, dikarenakan masih terdapat komponen kesejahteraan satwa yang perlu diperbaiki pengelola khususnya komponen bebas dari rasa haus dan lapar serta bebas dari rasa takut dan tertekan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of arm muscle power exercise and hand eye coordination on the accuracy of table tennis forehand smash on athletes at PTM Sukun Kudus club. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The population used were all table tennis players at the PTM Sukun Kudus club, totaling 24 athletes. 8 male athletes and 16 female athletes at regional and national levels with a total sample of 24 athletes. The data analysis technique used is Two Way Anova. The results of the study stated that there was a significant effect between the dumbbell hight swing arm muscle power training method and push up exercises on the accuracy of the forehand smash on table tennis athletes at the PTM Sukun Kudus club. There is a significant effect between right and left hand eye coordination on the accuracy of the forehand smash on table tennis athletes at the PTM Sukun Kudus club.

Abstract

Ammonium sulfate (ZA) has a role as nitrogen sources for the growth of bacteria acetobacter xylinum in making nata de coco. In fact, ZA food grade isexpensive and rarely sold in the market.  One of the potential ZA substitutes ismungbean sprout extract. This study aimed to compare the physically characterof nata which was processed using two different nitrogen sources, namelymungbean sprout extract and ammonium sulfate (ZA) food grade. This researchwas conducted by simple experimental using one-way classification design. Theraw materials were coconut water, acetic acid, sugar and Acetobacter xylinum,as well as mungbean sprout and ZA food grade as treatment. Nata is harvestedafter 10 days incubation. Physical characteristics is measured includethickness, wet weight, yield, moisture content and fiber content. The result of theobservation was analyzed using unpaired two sample test of Student's t-test. Theresults showed no differences in average thickness, yield, wet weight, moisturecontent, and fiber content in both groups of nata products (t test α> 5%).Utilization of 1% mungbean sprout extract can replacing  0.25%  ZA foodgrade in this study. In conclusion, the physically character of nata withmungbean sprout is not different than ZA food grade.Keywords :  mungbean sprout, nata de coco, , ZA food grade, physicalanalysis

Abstract

Kelelawar merupakan mamalia yang dapat terbang yang berasal dari ordo Chiroptera dengan kedua kaki depan yang berkembang menjadi sayap. Jenis-jenis spesies kelelawar mewakili sekitar 24% dari semua spesies mamalia. Kecamatan Gunungwungkal mempunyai potensi sumber daya alam dengan banyaknya pohon buah. Masyarakat pada umumnya menganggap kelelawar sebagai hama karena memakan buah-buahan dari tanaman budidaya perkebunan, sehingga banyak perburuan kelelawar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis kelelawar pemakan buah Subordo Megachiroptera dan sebaran spasial di Kecamatan Gunungwungkal Kabupaten Pati. Sampel kelelawar buah diambil 3 titik yaitu Desa Pesagen, Sidomulyo, dan Jrahi. Setiap titik pengambilan sampel masing-masing dipasangi 3 mistnet. Sampel diambil berdasarkan karakter masing-masing titik dari beberapa macam pohon buah yang diperkirakan terdapat jenis-jenis kelelawar buah. Kelelawar buah Subordo Megachiroptera yang tertangkap sebanyak 419. Jumlah total Cynopterus minutus sebanyak 260 ekor sedangkan Macroglossus minimus sebanyak 159 ekor. Sebaran spasial Cynopterus minutus ditemukan paling banyak di Desa Pesagen karena mempunyai lebih banyak kebun buah rambutan, kelengkeng, matoa, sawo manila. Macroglossus minimus ditemukan paling banyak di Desa Jrahi karena terdapat kebun pisang yang lebih banyak.

Abstract

Salah satu materi dalam penjasorkes adalah permainan bola kecil yang penerapannya di sekolah masih kurang maksimal karena siswa kurang aktif dan kesulitan menguasai teknik dasar dengan baik. Dengan tidak maksimalnya pembelajaran yang dilakukan maka akan menganggu proses pencapaian tujuanpembelajaran. Perlunya informasi kepada guru penjas tentang bentuk modifikasi permainan bola kecil yang inovatif. Informasi tersebut diberikan melalui kegiatan sosialisasi permainan Hitball dengan metode yang digunakan adalah demonstrasi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh siswa kelas 5 pada beberapa sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang. Melalui penerapan permainan Hitball padapembelajaran penjas, siswa sangat aktif dan antusias dalam melakukan permainan. Hal ini sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran penjas untuk menggerakkan siswa. Melalui sosialisasi permainan inovatif hitball juga memberikan gambaran kepada guru penjas terhadap bentuk modifikasi permainan bola kecil.Kata Kunci : Permainan Bola Kecil, Pendidikan Jasmani. Abstract One of the material in penjasorkes is a small ball game whose application in school is still not optimal because students are less active and have difficulty mastering basic techniques well. With no maximum learning done it will disrupt the process of achieving learning objectives. The need for information toPE teachers about innovative small ball game modifications. This information is provided through the socialization of Hitball games with the method used is demonstration. This activity was attended by 5th graders of elementary school in Gunungpati District, Semarang. Through the application of Hitball games in PE learning, students are very active and enthusiastic in playing the game. This is in accordance with the learning objectives of Penjas to move students. Through socialization of the innovative game Hitball also provides an overview to the physical education teacher about the form of small ball game modifications.Keywords: Small Ball Games, Physical Education.

Abstract

Bactrocera fruit flies are important pests which attack many kinds of fruit. The aims of this study were identifying the diversity index and parasitoid of Bactrocera in some fruits attacked in Bandungan Market, Semarang Regency. The are eight kinds of fruit used in this study ie; mango, guava, rose-apple, star fruit, peppers, jackfruit, oranges, and tomatoes. Rotten fruit were brought to the laboratory, Bactrocera were reared until imago and examined the diversity of species and the parasitoids. Five types of them are positive containing  Bactrocera  inside the fruit; mango, guava, rose-apple, and star fruit. There are two species of Bactrocera found, they are Bactrocera carambolae and Bactrocera papaye. The level of diversity of fruit flies was low  (0,11). Bactrocera carambolae  more dominan than Bactrocera papaye. The Bactrocera composition similarity was 75%. Parasitoids found  in this study are Fopius arisanus and Opius dichasmimorpha.
