Abstract

Mathematics is often considered difficult for 6th-grade students because they have not mastered the concept of the material from the class. This happened at Duren 02 Elementary School. One of the difficulties faced by students is in the fraction material, where students have difficulty in calculating fractions that have different fraction forms. This study aims to determine the improvement in mathematics learning outcomes through the Think Pair Share learning model in 6th-grade students. The research location was at SDN Duren 02 Pilangkenceng Madiun. This study is a qualitative study with the type of classroom action research. The subjects of the study were 14 students in class 6 of SDN Duren 02. The instrument used in this study used a mathematics test in the form of fractional arithmetic operations with multiple choice and descriptive questions. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests and observations. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data from observations and tests, data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that learning with the think pair share model showed a positive impact and increased learning completeness, namely cycle 1 by 43% and cycle 2 by 79%. The use of the think pair share learning model is expected to be used not only in class 6 but also in other classes.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop gamification-based digital media as an innovative learning tool to strengthen the writing literacy of first-grade elementary school students. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student evaluation questionnaires, and writing skills tests. The results showed that the developed media had a high feasibility level, with material expert validation scores of 81.7 (very feasible) and media expert scores of 80.2 (feasible). User evaluations also showed very positive responses, with average scores of 82.0 from teachers and 82.75 from students. The effectiveness test results indicated that students who learned using gamification-based digital media had an average writing literacy ability of 85.71, higher than the conventional learning group at 77.50, with a statistically significant difference (t = 3.867; p < 0.001). This finding shows that integrating gamification elements can boost student engagement while also supporting the development of early writing skills through a more interactive, gradual, and motivating learning experience. This study offers theoretical contributions to the development of gamification-based literacy learning, pedagogical contributions as an alternative, more innovative writing teaching strategy, and practical contributions by providing effective digital media to support the enhancement of elementary students' writing literacy.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) model supported by advertisement card media in improving persuasive text reading comprehension skills among Phase C elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants consisted of 15 fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through multiple-choice reading comprehension tests administered before and after the treatment. The results indicated a statistically significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension skills following the implementation of the DRTA model assisted by advertisement card media. This finding was supported by the results of the t-test, which yielded a p-value of 0.03 (p < 0.05). Prior to the treatment, the students’ mean score was 70, which increased to 80.66 after the treatment. Data analysis was conducted using a normality test followed by a t-test at a 5% significance level. Therefore, the DRTA model integrated with advertisement card media is effective in improving persuasive text reading comprehension skills among Phase C students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the web-based flipped classroom model in students' poetry writing skills. The method used is quantitative experiments. The participants were categorized or randomly placed in two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. In this study, the researcher used a 3rd semester student population of 149 students. The samples taken were classes 3B and 3C with each class totaling 32 students. The research sample was taken using cluster random sampling. The research data was in the form of student poetry writing results collected using the test method, while the hypothesis test used the t-test. The result of this study is that the t-value 7.586 > t-table is 2,040, so based on decision-making through the comparison of the t-value with the t-table, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted.  It can be concluded that the web-based flipped classroom learning model is effective for learning to write poetry. It is recommended to conduct long-term research in order to form independent learning habits and deep understanding of students on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

A This study aims to develop learning media based on the Padlet website to improve storytelling skills among elementary school students through the integration of East Javanese local wisdom. The developed media includes eight main menus, namely the main page, identity profile, learning outcomes, student attendance, material, student worksheet, evaluation, and bibliography, which provide an interactive and engaging learning experience. The research employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) and involved 80 third-grade students as participants. Data were obtained from media and material expert validation questionnaires, as well as student response questionnaires after the implementation stage. The validation results showed that the developed media achieved a validity score of 90% from material experts and 87% from media experts, indicating that the product met the feasibility standards. Moreover, the student response test revealed a very positive perception, particularly in terms of attractiveness, interactivity, and usefulness for learning storytelling skills. These findings demonstrate that the Padlet-based learning media incorporating East Javanese local wisdom is effective, practical, and of high quality in supporting the development of students’ storytelling skills. The significance of this study lies in offering a digital learning innovation that strengthens cultural values while enhancing literacy competence in elementary education.
