Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of local culture-based learning on students’ ethics and discipline at SD Negeri Cinanggung, Serang City. This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The sample consisted of 200 students from grades IV, V, and VI. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed through descriptive analysis and linear regression using the SPSS program. The descriptive analysis results showed that local culture-based learning was in the high category, with a mean score of 4.16, while students’ ethics had a mean score of 4.12 and students’ discipline had a mean score of 4.14. The regression analysis results showed that local culture-based learning had a positive and significant effect on students’ ethics, with a regression coefficient of 0.696 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Local culture-based learning also had a positive and significant effect on students’ discipline, with a regression coefficient of 0.729 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination indicated that local culture-based learning explained 42.6% of the variance in students’ ethics and 45.0% of the variance in students’ discipline. These findings indicate that integrating local cultural values into learning can serve as a relevant strategy for shaping students’ polite, honest, responsible, orderly, and rule-abiding behavior.

Abstract

Abstract—This study aims to describe the use of the traditional engklek game as a medium for developing kinesthetic abilities in early childhood education. The study was conducted at TK YPWKS III with a school context involving 130 children and 13 teachers. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the implementation of engklek activities. The findings indicate that engklek provides meaningful stimulation for children’s kinesthetic development, particularly in balance, body coordination, leg muscle strength, agility, movement control, courage, and self-confidence. The game also encourages social-emotional values such as discipline, honesty, patience, turn-taking, and respect for peers. The study concludes that the traditional engklek game is a simple, low-cost, culturally meaningful, and developmentally appropriate learning medium for early childhood education

Abstract

This study examines ethnopedagogical values in Cilegon Batik and analyzes its potential as a local wisdom-based learning resource in junior high schools. Methods: The study used a descriptive qualitative design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature study involving Cilegon Batik artisans, cultural figures, teachers, and students at SMPN 15 Cilegon. Data were analyzed through reduction, classification, display, and conclusion drawing with source, technique, and time triangulation. Results: The findings show that Cilegon Batik contains cultural, social, historical, economic, aesthetic, and educational meanings. Its motifs, including Gunung Karang, Perahu Layar, Bunga Sepatu, Akar Bahar, and Industri Baja, represent local identity, maritime life, industrial growth, creativity, cooperation, hard work, patriotism, and environmental care. Cilegon Batik can support contextual learning in Arts and Culture, Social Studies, Science, Indonesian Language, Civics, and Crafts. Novelty: This study offers an integrated design for using Cilegon Batik as a cross-subject learning resource that links local cultural preservation, character education, and student engagement in junior high school.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe school religious culture as a practice of religious ethnopedagogy in shaping students’ character at SMAN 6 Kabupaten Tangerang. Methods: This study used a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews with school members involved in religious activities. The data focused on several school religious programs, including ROHIS, Qur’an memorization, Qur’anic recitation, collective Dhuha prayer, Dhuhr or Friday congregational prayer, morning sermon, and Islamic holiday celebrations, such as Isra Mi’raj and the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. Results: The findings show that school religious culture functions as a medium for habituation, role modeling, participation, and reflection on religious values in students’ daily lives. These activities strengthen students’ religiosity, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, social care, politeness, and respect. Religious practices at school do not only function as ritual activities, but also as a continuous character education process supported by interaction among students, teachers, and the school community.. Novelty: This study highlights religious culture as a contextual form of religious ethnopedagogy. It shows that character formation can be built through local school practices that transmit religious and moral values systematically and sustainably. The study offers an empirical view of how religious traditions in school communities become a practical strategy for character education.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the mathematical concepts embedded in the traditional Congklak game and to describe its application in number operations learning through an ethnomathematics approach. The study highlights how local cultural practices can be used as meaningful contexts for strengthening students’ mathematical understanding. Methods: This research employed a qualitative exploratory descriptive method. Data were collected through observation of Congklak play activities, documentation, and literature study. The data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to identify mathematical concepts and their relevance to classroom learning. Results: The findings show that Congklak contains various mathematical concepts, including number operations, one-to-one correspondence, numerical patterns, geometry, symmetry, logical reasoning, and problem-solving strategies. The process of distributing seeds from one hole to another represents addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in a concrete and culturally familiar context. Congklak also supports contextual learning because students can connect abstract mathematical symbols with direct manipulation of objects and explain the meaning of each calculation through play-based activities.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the tahlilan tradition as a communal ethnopedagogy model in character education within the Banten Muslim community. The focus is directed toward how character values are culturally internalized outside the formal education environment. Method: This study employs a qualitative approach with a field research design, utilizing participant observation, in-depth interviews with religious and community leaders in Banten, and content analysis of the tahlilan ritual structure. Result: The findings indicate that the tahlilan tradition in the Banten Muslim community is not merely a religious ritual but functions as an effective communal pedagogical space. It facilitates the transmission of noble character values such as religiosity, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), tolerance, and social equality, which are adopted by the younger generation through sustained active involvement. The integration of these local values strengthens affective competence and social awareness amidst global changes. Novelty: The novelty of this study lies in the deconstruction of the tahlilan tradition—typically examined through theological or sociological lenses—now integrated as a conceptual communal ethnopedagogy model within the informal social system of character education.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Vocational education in an era of social, economic, and technological transformation faces the challenge of producing graduates who are not only technically competent but also capable of adapting to cultural contexts and community needs. However, existing studies indicate that vocational education practices remain predominantly focused on job-related skills and have not fully integrated local cultural values, knowledge, and practices as learning resources. This study aims to reconstruct the concept of ethnopedagogy as a culture-based integrative approach in vocational education through a systematic literature review. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining scholarly publications related to vocational education, local knowledge, practice-based learning, authentic assessment, teacher identity, entrepreneurship, inclusivity, and sustainability. The analysis was conducted through identification, selection, evaluation, and synthesis processes to identify consistent conceptual patterns within the literature. The findings reveal that vocational education should be understood as a contextual learning process that connects occupational competencies, cultural practices, learners’ experiences, and community needs. The integration of ethnopedagogy encompasses eight major dimensions, namely contextual curriculum, activity-based learning, authentic assessment, teacher and learner identity, vocational skills, local entrepreneurship, inclusivity, and sustainability. This study concludes that ethnopedagogy provides a conceptual framework capable of strengthening the cultural relevance of vocational education while enhancing learners’ readiness to respond to labor market demands and ongoing social change. ABSTRAK Pendidikan vokasi pada era perubahan sosial, ekonomi, dan teknologi menghadapi tantangan untuk tidak hanya menghasilkan lulusan yang kompeten secara teknis, tetapi juga memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi dengan konteks budaya dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Namun, berbagai kajian menunjukkan bahwa praktik pendidikan vokasi masih cenderung berorientasi pada penguasaan keterampilan kerja dan belum sepenuhnya mengintegrasikan nilai, pengetahuan, serta praktik budaya lokal sebagai sumber pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan merekonstruksi konsep etnopedagogi sebagai pendekatan integrasi berbasis budaya dalam pendidikan vokasi melalui kajian literatur sistematis. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelaah berbagai artikel ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan vokasi, pengetahuan lokal, pembelajaran berbasis praktik, asesmen autentik, identitas guru, kewirausahaan, inklusivitas, dan keberlanjutan. Analisis dilakukan melalui proses identifikasi, seleksi, evaluasi, dan sintesis literatur untuk menemukan pola konseptual yang konsisten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan vokasi perlu dipahami sebagai proses pembelajaran kontekstual yang menghubungkan kompetensi kerja, praktik budaya, pengalaman peserta didik, dan kebutuhan komunitas. Integrasi etnopedagogi mencakup delapan dimensi utama, yaitu kurikulum kontekstual, pembelajaran berbasis aktivitas, asesmen autentik, identitas guru dan peserta didik, keterampilan vokasional, kewirausahaan lokal, inklusivitas, serta keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa etnopedagogi merupakan kerangka konseptual yang mampu memperkuat relevansi pendidikan vokasi dengan budaya lokal sekaligus meningkatkan kesiapan peserta didik menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja dan perubahan sosial yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The indigenous knowledge of the Baduy people encompasses social, cultural, and environmental elements essential for sustainable development. This study intends to examine and integrate literature about social, cultural, and environmental ethics within Baduy wisdom. The employed methodology is a systematic literature review adhering to the PRISMA 2020 principles. A literature search was performed via Google Scholar and Scopus via the Publish or Perish tool, encompassing papers from 2016 to 2024, along by a comprehensive analysis of 8 chosen articles. The study's findings delineate three primary themes: social ethics (pertaining to customary structures and community organisations), cultural ethics (concerning the significance of rituals and spiritual values), and environmental ethics (focused on nature conservation and restrictions on environmental alteration) through customary law (Pikukuh), spiritual beliefs (Sunda Wiwitan), traditional agricultural practices, and intergenerational oral traditions (Pamali). This study reinforces the concept of a comprehensive and community-oriented framework for sustainable living, grounded in the ideals of simplicity, collaboration, and harmony with nature. Notwithstanding the variety of existing research, considerable deficiencies persist, particularly in the analysis of social, cultural, and environmental ethics rooted in local wisdom, the interdisciplinary comprehension of the Baduy community's knowledge system, and the imperative of integrating local wisdom into global dialogues on sustainability and cultural preservation.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi kebijakan Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat Berbasis Mikro Terhadap partisipasi masyarakat di Kecamatan Cibinong Kabupaten Bogor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa, implementasi kebijkan pemberlakuan pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat berbasis mikro memiliki pengaruh terhadap pasrtisipasi masyarakat di Kecamatan Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor sebagai berikut: 1) Kebijakan Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat Berbasis Mikro di Kecamatan Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor sangat baik, hal ini berdasarkan tanggapan responden dengan skor = 19009 dengan arti bahwa Kebijakan Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarak Berbasis Mikro memiliki nilai “Sangat Baik”. 2) Pasrtisipasi Masyarakat di Kecamatan Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor sangat baik, hal ini berdasarkan hasil tanggapan responden dengan skor = 13230 dengan arti bahwa Pasrtisipasi Masyarakat di Kecamatan Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor memiliki nilai “Sangat Baik”. 3) Pengaruh Implementasi Kebijakan Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat Berbasis Mikro Terhadap Pasrtisipasi Masyarakat di Kecamatan Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor, berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi didapat nilai r sebesar 0.539 jika mengacu pada kriteria tingkat keeratan hubungan maka dinyatakan memiliki tingkat hubungan sedang antara PPKM terhadap partisipasi masyarakat karena terletak pada interval (0.41-0.60). sedangkan uji koefisien determinasi diperoleh (R2) R Square sebesar 0.291, selanjutnya digunakan perhitungan koefisien determinasi (KD) didapat nilai sebesar 29,05% dinyatakan berpengaruh sedang karena terletak pada interval (0,21% - 40%). Artinya sebesar 29,05% partisipasi masyarakat dipengaruhi oleh variabel PPKM sisanya sebesar 70.95% dipengaruhi variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam penelitian ini. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil Uji t didapat ttabel dengan α = 5% dan n = 100 diperoleh t (0.05 ;  90)  =  1.980. berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dapat dilihat nilai thitung  lebih  besar dari ttabel  (6,335 > 1.980) dengan sig.  0.000 < 0,05 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh antara PPKM terhadap Partisipasi Masyarakat di Kecamatan Cibinong.Kata Kunci: PPKM, Partisipasi AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of the policy of the Implementation of Micro-Based Community Activity Restrictions on community participation in Cibinong District, Bogor Regency. Community Participation in Cibinong District, Bogor Regency is very good, this is based on the results of respondents' responses with a score of = 13230 with the meaning that Community Participation in Cibinong District, Bogor Regency has a "Very Good" score. The Influence of Implementation of Micro-Based Community Activity Restrictions on Community Participation in Cibinong District, Bogor Regency, based on the results of the correlation analysis, the r value of 0.539 when referring to the criteria for the level of closeness of the relationship was stated to have a moderate level of relationship between PPKM on community participation because it is located at intervals (0.41-0.60). while the coefficient of determination test obtained (R2) R Square of 0.291, then used the calculation of the coefficient of determination (KD) obtained a value of 29.05% which was declared to have a moderate effect because it was located in the interval (0.21% - 40%). This means that 29.05% of community participation is influenced by the PPKM variable, the remaining 70.95% is influenced by other variables not included in this study. Meanwhile, based on the results of the t-test, it was obtained ttable with = 5% and n = 100 obtained t (0.05; 90) = 1.980. based on the calculation results, it can be seen that the value of tcount is greater than ttable (6.335 > 1.980) with sig. 0.000 <0.05 so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an influence between PPKM on Community Participation in Cibinong District.Keyword: PPKM, Participation

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter disiplin dan kerja keras dalam kegiatan latihan futsal di T Futsal Academy serta hambatan dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di T Futsal Academy dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif pendekatan kualitatif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu penerapan karakter disiplin di T Futsal Academy dilakukan dengan latihan rutin, dalam latihan futsal ini siswa tidak hanya di ajarkan bagaimana bermain futsal, tetapi juga diajarkan sikap disiplin dan kerja keras. Disiplin yang dilakukand dengan cara hadir latihan dengan tepat waktu, menggunakan pakaian yang sesuai ketentuan saat latihan futsal dan menaati aturan yang ada di T Ftusal academy. Dalam penerapan disiplin siswa sudah menerapkannya dengan baik, tetapi pada aspek kehadiran masih ada siswa yang terlambat datang latihan, adapun upaya yang dilakukan untuk membentuk sikap disiplin melalui sanksi abgi yang melanggar aturan untuk membuat jera dan melatih fisik siswa dalam latihan. Sedangkan kerja keras yang diterapkan dalam latihan futsal berkaitan pemberian tugas dan penyelesain tugas yang diberikan, dimana siswa di T Futsal Academy sudah menjalankan tugas dengan baik dan dapat termotivasi untuk bermain dengan giat dan pantang menyerah. Untuk meningkatkan kerja keras siswa, pelatih memberikan motivasi dan juga treatment lebih dengan latihan bersama tim profesional dan mengikuti kompetisi. Dalam penerapan karakter disiplin dan kerja keras, terdapat hambatan dalam pelaksanaannya, yaitu: kebiasaan yang tidak disiplin yang sudah melekat, kurangnya motivasi dan pemahaman orang tua kepada siswa, dan lingkungan pergaulan siswa yang kurang mendukung untuk membiasakan diri dalam disiplin dan kerja keras.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Karakter disiplin, karakter kerja keras AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the application of the values of discipline and hard work character education in futsal training activities at the T Futsal Academy and the obstacles in their application. This research was conducted at T Futsal Academy using a descriptive qualitative approach. Researchers collected data using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The result of this study is that the application of disciplined character at T Futsal Academy is carried out with regular training, in this futsal practice students are not only taught how to play futsal, but are also taught discipline and hard work. Discipline is carried out by attending training on time, wearing appropriate clothing during futsal practice and obeying the rules at T Futsal Academy. In the application of discipline students have implemented it well, but in the aspect of attendance there are still students who are late for training, as for efforts made to form a disciplined attitude through abgi sactions that violate the rules to deter and train students physically in training. Meanwhile, the hard work applied in futsal training is related to the assignment and completion of the assigned tasks, where students at T Futsal Academy have performed their duties well and can be motivated to play hard and never give up. To increase students’hard work, coaches provide motivation and alsi more treatment by training with a professional team and participating in competitions.
