Abstract

The low khowledge of teenager girl at SMA N 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat was one of the reason for distribution of iron supplemented tablets from Dinas Kesehatan Tanjung Jabung Barat. In addition, knowledge about iron supplemented tablets is also very minimal. So it is not uncommon for many reason that iron supplemented tablets are not consumed and are not properly distributed.one of efforts to overcome this problem is counseling about anemia. This activity was carried out at SMA N 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat. The implementation of this activity is from September 2020 to February 2021. The target of this activity is teenager girl of SMA N 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat. The implementation method are in the form of counseling and discussion. The results obtained in this activity were the goal of understanding the material about anemia. It is recommended that the school be able to work together with Puskesmas and Dinas Kesehatan to provide health education regularly when carry out activities to provide iron supplement tablets in order to understand the importance of knowledge about anemia

Abstract

Shrimp waste flour and oyster mushroom were developed into flavoring using the foam-mat drying method. This study aims to determine the effect of the formulation on water content, glutamate content, sensory characteristics and determine the best treatment for flavoring. The study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD), with 7 formulation of shrimp waste and oyster mushroom with a ratio of P1 (0:100), P2 (100:0), P3 (30:70), P4 (40:60), P5 (50:50), P6 (60:40), P7 (70:30). Parameters analyzed included chemical (water content and glutamate content), sensory (color, texture, aroma and taste). The results of this study indicate that the combination of the ratio of shrimp waste and oyster mushrooms has an effect on decreasing water content, increasing glutamate levels and sensory (color, aroma, texture, and taste). The higher the level of shrimp waste, the better the product will be. The addition of shrimp waste can further increase the nutritional value of the flavoring. The best formulation for flavoring is P7 with a ratio of shrimp waste and oyster mushroom (70:30).

Abstract

Introduction:Tonsillectomy is the most common procedure performed to treat tonsillitis. One of the clinical manifestations of this procedure is pain which occurs mediator released during surgery stimulates pain nerve endings, so pain management is necessary. Objectives: The aims of this study to analyzed cold compresses to reduce pain intensity in post-tonsillectomy patients Methods: This research design was used a pre experiment with a one group pre test post test design approach, that conducted for months. July -August 2024, involving 17 post-operative patients in Room H2 RSPAL dr. Ramelan Surabaya, using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Friedman Test. Results: The results showed that in the first 3 hours after tonsillectomy, the intensity of pain which was in range of 5-7 (median 6) decreased to 3-5 (median 3) after being given cold compress therapy for 10-15 minutes, with a p-value of 0.001 which indicated that this decrease is statistically significant. 3 hours after first intervention, pain intensity decreased again to 1-4 (median 3) after being given cold compress therapy, with a p-value (0.001). Conclusions: This indicates that cold compresses are effective in reducing pain consistently at different times after surgery. The use of cold compresses as a non-pharmacological pain management method may be considered as part of the post-operative care protocol
