This study was conducted in three stages: pretest, treatment and posttest posttest. Construct validity fit model category. The reliability of scale was tested using Cronbach's Alpha, and a coefficient of emotional expression of 0.872 and stress of 0.833 was obtained, indicating that the level of reliability high category. Data collection techniques using the emotional expression scale and stress scale. The data analysis technique used is the MANOVA. The test results showed that the treatment simultaneously affected emotional expression and stress with Wilks' Lambda = 0.001, p < 0.05. Abstract

This study investigated Indonesian high school students’ perceptions of school Guidance and Counseling (GC) services, focusing on three interrelated dimensions: awareness, utilization, and satisfaction. While GC services are recognized as essential for supporting student development, limited research has comprehensively examined how they are perceived and accessed by students themselves. Using a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 578 Grade 11 and 12 students in public senior high schools in Yogyakarta. Instruments adapted from Gallant and Zhao were employed, with reliability scores of α = 0.716 (awareness), α = 0.916 (utilization), and α = 0.951 (satisfaction). Statistical analyses included percentage distributions, Pearson chi-square, Mantel-Haenszel chi-square, and ordinal logistic regression. Findings revealed that although students demonstrated high awareness of GC services, variations in utilization and satisfaction were evident across grade levels. Notably, while higher awareness was associated with greater satisfaction, more frequent use was linked to lower satisfaction, indicating a potential mismatched between student expectations and the quality of services provided. These results highlighted the need for student-centered and developmentally responsive counseling services, offering implications for both national policy and international educational practices.

Abstract

The purpose of this research and development is to develop, determine the feasibility and test the effectiveness of expressive writing techniques in group guidance to improve self-acceptance. The research method used in this study is research and development (RD) with the ADDIE development model, which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation of the research was carried out in five high schools in Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency. The subjects of this study were 8 students. The data collection techniques and tools used were validation assessment sheets (material experts, media experts, and practitioners), interviews and self-acceptance instruments. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative analysis.  The results of the study based on the validation of material experts obtained a percentage of feasibility of 80% (feasible), 81% (feasible) by media experts, and 86% (very feasible) by practitioners / counseling teachers.  The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a significance level of 0.012 ≤ 0.05 so that it can be stated that there are differences in pretest and posttest results in the guidance group. The results of the calculation of self-acceptance scale data in the guidance group given the expressive writing technique showed an increase of 61.17% which was included in the criteria quite effective. Thus, it means that the development of expressive writing techniques in group guidance to increase self-acceptance is feasible and effective to be implemented to the students.

A total of 370 students were selected as the sample. The sampling method applied was proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a scale-based instrument. Reliability testing was conducted using Cronbach's alpha method for the Adversity Quotient, Bravery, Persistence, Integrity, and Vitality. Data analysis involved the use of descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis, performed using SPSS version 26 for Windows.Findings – The findings indicate a statistically significant correlation between the variables of Bravery, Persistence, Integrity, and Vitality with the Adversity Quotient (AQ) at a 5% level of significance. (1). bravery has a positive relationship with AQ. (2) Persistence has a significant effect on AQ. (3) Integrity also has a significant effect. (4) Vitality has a significant effect on AQ. When examined collectively, these four variables significantly contribute to the prediction of AQ, as indicated by an F-value of 206.475, which exceeds the F-table value of 2.396, with an R-squared value of 0.694. The model accounts for 69.4% of the variance in Adversity Quotient, while other unexamined factors may explain the remaining 30.6%. When examined collectively, these four variables significantly contribute to the prediction of AQ.Significance – This research is expected to enrich scientific insight in the field of guidance and counseling, particularly regarding its influence on high school students in Tarakan City, as well as the description of adversity quotient, bravery, persistence, integrity, and vitality.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication and digital citizenship competencies are currently highly needed by students, along with the widespread use of the internet in society, in responding to various issues. This study aimed to analyze the impact of using Android-based radio media on interpersonal communication, digital citizenship competencies, and the correlation between the two competencies. This research method used a quasi-experiment involving 250 vocational high school students by dividing them into two groups. The experimental group received intervention using Android-based radio media, while the second group used traditional teaching methods. Data analysis used in this study was simple linear regression analysis, t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression. The results showed that using Android-based radio media effectively improved interpersonal communication competencies (ICC) and digital citizenship. In addition, the results showed that 10 ICC skills (self-disclosure, empathy, social relaxation, assertiveness, altercentrism, interaction management, expressivity, support, closeness, and environmental control) positively predicted digital citizenship. Among the skills learned, environmental control and closeness were the strongest predictors of digital citizenship. The implications of the research show that the use of digital radio media integrated into Android devices has great potential to improve the quality of learning that is contextual, interactive, and relevant to current developments.
