Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang peletakan dasar-dasar peradaban Islam di masa Nabi Muhammad SAW dan masa Khilafah Rasyidah. Kehadiran Nabi Muhammad SAW telah merubah cara pandang seluruh dunia berhubungan dengan segala aspek kehidupan. Ia telah menyebarkan pesan-pesan agama Islam pada masyarakat Arab di masa itu. Selanjutnya pembentukan Khilafah Rasyidah pada masa sesudah kematian Nabi membawa peradaban Islam ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi. Kehadiran Khilafah Rasyidah telah menciptakan ruang kebebasan untuk eksplorasi intelektual dan pemahaman tentang Ilahi. Khilafah memberi tujuan yang spesifik dan pedoman bagi orang-orang agar mengekplorasi kedalaman intelektual Islam dengan mengembangkan cabang ilmu pengetahuan dan membangun masyarakat dan dunia secara keseluruhan berdasarkan prinsip Islam.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the learning of Islamic Education for children with intellectual disabilities in Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Binjai and Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri 1 Binjai, including planning, implementation, learning evaluation, as well as barriers and solutions in learning. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site study to explore the learning process at SLB Negeri Binjai and SLB Negeri 1 Binjai The research findings indicate that Islamic Education learning in both SLBs includes the introduction of basic Islamic concepts, teaching methods tailored to the needs of students, and parental involvement in the learning process. However, there are still obstacles such as limited resources and a lack of training for Islamic Education teachers. In conclusion, this research provides a significant contribution to efforts to improve the quality of Islamic education for children with special needs SLB Negeri Binjai and SLB Negeri 1 Binjai.

Abstract

Islamic culture has been on a steady decline from the time of the prophet, who ushered in its golden age. A factor contributing to Islamic stagnation was the emergence of Western nations that colonized Islamic nations. In their imperialistic pursuit of power, wealth, culture, and politics, Western nations prey on Islamic nations. Consequently, it is intriguing to examine their colonization of Islamic nations. My goal in writing this paper is to gain a better understanding of the reasons behind western colonization of Islamic countries. I hope that all students in Indonesia, and particularly those at UINSU, will read it and be inspired to work towards a world where Islamic countries no longer face colonization from the West.. Library research is the methodology employed in this article. There was a lengthy period of Islamic stagnation due to the colonization of the archipelago by western powers. This was accompanied by devastating conflicts, economic and social inequalities, the loss of native culture and civilization, and the introduction of Christianity. Due in part to the fact that Islamic countries are unable to stand up to Western colonization on their own, Islam has been unable to advance in recent centuries. Economic, social, political, and legal decisions may all stem from the need for prior permission from the federal government in order to pass legislation pertaining to a state. A number of indigenous peoples' desires to secede from their colonial masters emerged in response to Western colonialism. Some of the colonized states that rose up in opposition to the occupying power were successful in becoming independent nations, while others were unable to do so due to the superior military might of the colonial power.

Abstract

The term "ulul albab" is frequently mentioned in the Quran. Ulul albab refers to individuals known for their sharp intellect, unclouded by confusion, as well as strong spiritual and intellectual integrity. Drawing on the ideas of Al-Ghazali as a foundation, this study aims to explore Al-Ghazali's thoughts on shaping the character of Ulul Albab from the perspective of Wahdatul Ulum. Through qualitative approaches and a literature review, the integration of reason and revelation, the importance of Sufi practices, and the virtues of ethics in seeking closeness to Allah are analyzed. The research findings demonstrate that Al-Ghazali, as a brilliant Islamic scholar and humanist, mastered various branches of knowledge, ranging from jurisprudence, theology, logic, philosophy, and Sufism and ethics. In Al-Ghazali's view, Ulul Albab are depicted as individuals who combine knowledge and action, possess firm beliefs rooted in true understanding, and develop noble traits reflected in everyday life. This research significantly contributes to enriching insights into the concept of Ulul Albab from the perspective of Al-Ghazali's thought, while highlighting the importance of spiritual and moral practices in attaining perfection as servants of Allah, as well as the integration of reason and revelation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas efektivitas program organisasi kajian hadis dalam pengembangan keilmuan Islam di Masjid Al-Izzah UIN Medan. Kajian hadis memiliki peran strategis sebagai sumber ajaran Islam yang tidak hanya menjadi pedoman hidup, tetapi juga fondasi dalam membangun sistem keilmuan berbasis nilai-nilai ilahiah. Program kajian ini dirancang untuk memperdalam pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap hadis, mengintegrasikannya dengan disiplin ilmu lainnya, serta menjawab tantangan kehidupan modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif untuk menggambarkan efektivitas program tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi, dengan teknik triangulasi untuk memastikan validitas data. Subjek penelitian meliputi pengurus organisasi kajian hadis dan peserta kajian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kajian hadis di Masjid Al-Izzah dilaksanakan secara rutin dan terstruktur dengan dukungan pemateri yang kompeten serta metode pengajaran interaktif. Sebagian besar peserta mengakui peningkatan pemahaman mereka terhadap konteks hadis dalam kehidupan modern dan relevansi ajarannya dalam praktik sehari-hari. Evaluasi berkala juga dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas sejarah, perkembangan, dan kontribusi Mawaridussalam sebagai lembaga sosial yang berperan dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat Deli Serdang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis secara mendalam mengenai dampak dan peran lembaga ini dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat setempat, serta kontribusinya terhadap pembangunan daerah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesantren ini memiliki peran strategis dalam memperkuat jaringan sosial, meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, serta memberi dampak positif terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Pesantren Mawaridussalam berpotensi menjadi model dalam pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi pada pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pelestarian nilai-nilai budaya lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep wahdatul 'ulum (kesatuan ilmu) yang diterapkan dalam kepemimpinan KH. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) serta relevansinya dalam konteks modern. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kepustakaan dengan menganalisis sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder, seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, serta dokumen historis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep wahdatul 'ulum menjadi landasan penting dalam kepemimpinan Gus Dur. Konsep ini menekankan integrasi ilmu agama dan ilmu duniawi, yang tercermin dalam berbagai aspek kepemimpinannya, seperti reformasi pendidikan pesantren, pengembangan etos kerja berbasis spiritual, penerapan nilai-nilai Islamic hospitality, dan kepemimpinan holistik. Gus Dur mengimplementasikan nilai inklusivitas dan pluralisme melalui kebijakan pro-minoritas, dialog lintas agama, serta reformasi sosial yang menegaskan pentingnya keadilan dan kemanusiaan. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pendekatan holistik Gus Dur tidak hanya merefleksikan nilai-nilai Islam, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam menciptakan harmoni sosial dan menjawab tantangan global. Konsep wahdatul 'ulum yang ia terapkan menjadi model relevan bagi pengembangan pendidikan dan kepemimpinan kontemporer.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see how the history of Islamic civilization during the Ottoman Turks, Safavids and Mughals in the 17th-18th centuries. In this research, the researcher uses a literature study by collecting research data from the treasures of literature and making the world of texts the main material for analysis. The results of this study show that Islamic civilization during the Ottoman Turks, Safavids and Mughals in the 17th-18th centuries experienced a significant rapid stagnation starting from the economic, cultural, ruler morality and military fields. This was due to the weak regulatory framework, financial decline, and the emergence of rebellious figures both from within the country and from abroad. So, it is no wonder then that Islam can no longer be the center of attention of world civilization.

Abstract

This study discusses the internalization of Arabic language skills to enhance the understanding of Islamic religious knowledge among students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at STAI As-Sunnah Deli Serdang. Arabic plays a crucial role in understanding key Islamic sources, such as the Qur'an and Hadith. The research adopts a qualitative approach using techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that students' Arabic language skills vary, but the majority are capable of understanding Arabic texts. The integrative learning strategies employed have proven effective in linking linguistic abilities with a deeper understanding of Islam. Supportive factors include a competent academic environment and skilled lecturers, while challenges include a lack of variation in teaching methods and limited opportunities for language practice. Therefore, more effective strategies are needed, such as a bilingual curriculum, intensive training, and interactive learning media, to further enhance students' understanding of Islamic religious knowledge in a more profound way.

Abstract

Preservasi budaya Melayu melalui pendidikan menjadi upaya penting dalam menjaga warisan leluhur. Sekolah menjadi tempat terbaik untuk melakukan preservasi budaya Melayu melalui kebijakan-kebijakan dan kegiatan-kegiatan berbudaya Melayu. SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama berupaya melestarikan budaya Melayu melalui berbagai kebijakan dan program yang telah disusun di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan visi dan misi dalam preservasi budaya Melayu, preservasi budaya Melayu dalam pembelajaran, kegiatan tahunan, sumber daya dan infrastruktur dalam preservasi budaya Melayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan tiga teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang bersumber dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa serta peristiwa di lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: 1) Visi dan Misi dalam preservasi budaya Melayu di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama tidak tertulis secara formal dalam visi misi sekolah, namun melalui kebijakan dan program yang diterapkan oleh sekolah yaitu: menjalankan program P5 dengan tema kearifan lokal, dan mengadakan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler budaya Melayu seperti tari daerah Melayu dan pencak silat. 2) Preservasi budaya Melayu dalam pembelajaran di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama telah terakomodir dalam mata pelajaran Seni Budaya, Bahasa Indonesia, dan IPS. 3) Kegiatan tahunan dalam preservasi budaya Melayu di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama melalui acara perpisahan atau pentas seni dan bazar kuliner tradisional. 4) Sumber daya dan infrastruktur dalam preservasi budaya Melayu di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama masih kurang memadai, sebab belum adanya guru khusus yang mengajar budaya Melayu dan fasilitas yang mendukung budaya Melayu secara maksimal.
