Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep wahdatul 'ulum (kesatuan ilmu) yang diterapkan dalam kepemimpinan KH. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) serta relevansinya dalam konteks modern. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kepustakaan dengan menganalisis sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder, seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, serta dokumen historis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep wahdatul 'ulum menjadi landasan penting dalam kepemimpinan Gus Dur. Konsep ini menekankan integrasi ilmu agama dan ilmu duniawi, yang tercermin dalam berbagai aspek kepemimpinannya, seperti reformasi pendidikan pesantren, pengembangan etos kerja berbasis spiritual, penerapan nilai-nilai Islamic hospitality, dan kepemimpinan holistik. Gus Dur mengimplementasikan nilai inklusivitas dan pluralisme melalui kebijakan pro-minoritas, dialog lintas agama, serta reformasi sosial yang menegaskan pentingnya keadilan dan kemanusiaan. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pendekatan holistik Gus Dur tidak hanya merefleksikan nilai-nilai Islam, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam menciptakan harmoni sosial dan menjawab tantangan global. Konsep wahdatul 'ulum yang ia terapkan menjadi model relevan bagi pengembangan pendidikan dan kepemimpinan kontemporer.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see how the history of Islamic civilization during the Ottoman Turks, Safavids and Mughals in the 17th-18th centuries. In this research, the researcher uses a literature study by collecting research data from the treasures of literature and making the world of texts the main material for analysis. The results of this study show that Islamic civilization during the Ottoman Turks, Safavids and Mughals in the 17th-18th centuries experienced a significant rapid stagnation starting from the economic, cultural, ruler morality and military fields. This was due to the weak regulatory framework, financial decline, and the emergence of rebellious figures both from within the country and from abroad. So, it is no wonder then that Islam can no longer be the center of attention of world civilization.

Abstract

This study discusses the internalization of Arabic language skills to enhance the understanding of Islamic religious knowledge among students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at STAI As-Sunnah Deli Serdang. Arabic plays a crucial role in understanding key Islamic sources, such as the Qur'an and Hadith. The research adopts a qualitative approach using techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that students' Arabic language skills vary, but the majority are capable of understanding Arabic texts. The integrative learning strategies employed have proven effective in linking linguistic abilities with a deeper understanding of Islam. Supportive factors include a competent academic environment and skilled lecturers, while challenges include a lack of variation in teaching methods and limited opportunities for language practice. Therefore, more effective strategies are needed, such as a bilingual curriculum, intensive training, and interactive learning media, to further enhance students' understanding of Islamic religious knowledge in a more profound way.

Abstract

Preservasi budaya Melayu melalui pendidikan menjadi upaya penting dalam menjaga warisan leluhur. Sekolah menjadi tempat terbaik untuk melakukan preservasi budaya Melayu melalui kebijakan-kebijakan dan kegiatan-kegiatan berbudaya Melayu. SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama berupaya melestarikan budaya Melayu melalui berbagai kebijakan dan program yang telah disusun di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan visi dan misi dalam preservasi budaya Melayu, preservasi budaya Melayu dalam pembelajaran, kegiatan tahunan, sumber daya dan infrastruktur dalam preservasi budaya Melayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan tiga teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang bersumber dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa serta peristiwa di lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: 1) Visi dan Misi dalam preservasi budaya Melayu di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama tidak tertulis secara formal dalam visi misi sekolah, namun melalui kebijakan dan program yang diterapkan oleh sekolah yaitu: menjalankan program P5 dengan tema kearifan lokal, dan mengadakan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler budaya Melayu seperti tari daerah Melayu dan pencak silat. 2) Preservasi budaya Melayu dalam pembelajaran di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama telah terakomodir dalam mata pelajaran Seni Budaya, Bahasa Indonesia, dan IPS. 3) Kegiatan tahunan dalam preservasi budaya Melayu di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama melalui acara perpisahan atau pentas seni dan bazar kuliner tradisional. 4) Sumber daya dan infrastruktur dalam preservasi budaya Melayu di SMP Swasta IT Al-Fattah Desa Lama masih kurang memadai, sebab belum adanya guru khusus yang mengajar budaya Melayu dan fasilitas yang mendukung budaya Melayu secara maksimal.

Abstract

This research is directed to trace the background conditions both external and internal KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, how the idea of transformative Islamic education KH. Hasyim Asy'ari in the book Adab Al-Alim Wa Al-Muta'allim and how the contribution of transformative Islamic education thinking KH. Hasyim Asy'ari about the idea of transformative Islamic education in the context of contemporary Islamic religious education. The type of research used is Library Research and uses a Historical Approach. The primary data source is the Book of Adab Al-Alim Wa Al-Muta'allim by KH Hasyim Asy'ari. The secondary data sources are books by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and the works of other researchers who discuss the thoughts of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. In analyzing the data, content analysis is used. The findings of this study are first, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari was a great Indonesian scholar and founder of the largest Islamic organization, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), known by the nickname Hadratus Sheikh which means Great Teacher. Second, in his concept, education must integrate spiritual, intellectual, moral, and social dimensions holistically. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari's transformative ideas are also reflected in his views on learning evaluation which is comprehensive, including assessment of understanding of knowledge, practice in daily life, and its transformative impact on the personality of students. Third, KH. Hasyim Asy'ari had a significant impact on the development of the modern pesantren education system. Pesantren Tebuireng which he founded became a model for the development of an Islamic education system that integrates traditional values with modernity.

Abstract

This paper examines the educational values ​​and character building applied in Imran's family as reflected in the story contained in Surah Ali 'Imran and other narratives in the Qur'an. Through an analysis of the story of Imran's wife's vow, the surrender of Maryam to the Prophet Zakariya, and the instillation of the principle of monotheism from an early age, the article emphasizes that success in building a generation of faith and piety is not only based on internal aspects of the family, but is also greatly influenced by external factors such as a conducive environment, prayer, and sincere intentions from parents. A religious and exemplary environment, as chosen and managed by Imran's family, is an important factor in shaping children's character as a whole by instilling moral, spiritual, and social values ​​according to Islamic principles. In addition, the article highlights that Imran's family education emphasizes the importance of consistency, sincerity, and prayer in the process of educating children so that they grow into individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also strong in faith and noble morals. Thus, Imran's family is an ideal model that is able to integrate spiritual and moral aspects as the main foundation in building a future generation that is faithful and pious according to Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The concept of wahdatul 'ulum (integration of knowledge) is an epistemological approach that attempts to unite religious sciences (ulumuddin) and general sciences in a holistic and integral framework. This study highlights how the principle of wahdatul 'ulum becomes an important foundation in forming leadership based on Islamic values, by emulating the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as the main model. Through a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, this article finds that integration of knowledge contributes greatly to forming visionary, just, and humanistic leadership. The Prophet not only combined revelation and rationality, but also made morals, knowledge, and strategy as inseparable elements in every policy. This study recommends strengthening the curriculum based on integration of knowledge in Islamic educational institutions in order to be able to produce holistic and transformative leaders.

Abstract

Konsep Wahdatul Ulum menekankan integrasi antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum sebagai kesatuan pengetahuan yang berasal dari Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh Wahdatul Ulum terhadap kesehatan mental, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Dengan mengkaji dimensi spiritual dan epistemologis Wahdatul Ulum, penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana pendekatan holistik dapat memperkuat keseimbangan emosional, sosial, dan spiritual individu. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ilmu dan iman dalam paradigma Wahdatul Ulum berperan signifikan dalam membentuk ketahanan mental peserta didik, mengurangi stres, memperkuat makna hidup, dan menumbuhkan karakter positif. Konsep ini menawarkan solusi komprehensif atas tantangan psikososial di era modern, dan layak dijadikan pijakan dalam pembentukan kurikulum berbasis nilai-nilai spiritual dan kemanusiaan.
