Abstract

Artikel ini membahas mengernai sejarah Islam kontemporer di dunia Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah unutk mengungkap gambaran sejarah masuknya Islam di dunia Barat, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberadaan umat Islam di Barat, hasil kajian literatur tentang populasi Muslim di negara-negara Barat dan integrasi Muslim ke dalam masyarakat Barat. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan studi kepustakaan (library research) sejarah dengan didasarkan pada pendekatan kualitatif. Terdapat beberapa temuan dalam peneltian ini. Pertama, ada empat fase masuknya Islam di dunia Barat yang di awali dari Spanyol. Kedua, meningkatnya populasi umat Islam di dunia Barat. Ketiga, integrasi umat Islam dalam masyarakat Barat.

Abstract

The concept of self-esteem is a fundamental aspect in the formation of a dignified human civilization, as reflected in the teachings of the Qur’an. Amidst the growing identity crisis and existential challenges of modern humans, the study of the Qur’an’s understanding of self-esteem has become increasingly relevant. This study aims to examine the concept of self-esteem in the Qur’an and explore its contextualization and relevance in a contemporary context. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive and analytical approach, and refers to Abdullah Saeed’s contextual theoretical framework to understand the text in its historical and contemporary contexts. The results of the study indicate that verses such as Surah al-Isrā’ [17]: 62 and 70, Surah al-Furqān [25]: 72, and Surah al-Ḥujurāt [49]: 13 affirm the uniqueness of humans as beings endowed with reason, honor, and moral potential. These values align with modern psychological principles regarding the importance of self-esteem in shaping character and integrity. This study affirms that strengthening self-esteem through a holistic understanding of Islam has the potential to make an important contribution to the development of human resources and the formation of an inclusive and civilized society.

Abstract

Patriarchy is a social structure deeply rooted in Indonesian culture, influencing various aspects of life, including education, economy, and politics. This study aims to analyze how Gita Savitri, through her YouTube channel, constructs a critical discourse against patriarchal culture, using Qāsim Amīn's feminist paradigm as a framework for analysis. This research uses qualitative methods through a literature review and critical discourse analysis of the video content produced by Gita. The results show that Gita utilizes digital media as an alternative space to voice gender equality and criticize the normalization of injustice against women. The rhetorical strategies used include raising awareness, deconstructing stereotypes, and affirming women’s autonomy. This study finds that although digital spaces often reproduce patriarchal power relations, social media can also be an effective arena for resistance, particularly among urban Muslim youth. Thus, this research expands the study of digital feminism in Indonesia and highlights the importance of utilizing new platforms to achieve more inclusive and egalitarian social and religious transformation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas kegiatan murojaah berbantuan audio dalam meningkatkan daya hafal santri di Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Baitul Qur'an Binjai dan apa saja hambatannya. Metode peneltian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan dan responden dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh santri putra Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Baitul Qur'an Binjai yang berjumlah 16 santri. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bantuan audio efektif dalam meningkatkan daya hafal santri. Bantuan audio dengan radio sangat membantu santri cepat mengingat, karena stimulus dengan mendengarkan membantu anak dalam meningkatkan daya ingat para santri. Untuk itu penulis memberikan saran membangun kepada penelitian yang akan datang untuk melakukan penelitian di pesantren yang sudah berdiri eksis selama 20 tahun dan juga Yayasan Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Baitul Qur'an Binjai bisa memberlakukan jasus (mata-mata) di yang berasal dari santri pilihannya untuk memantau dan melaporkan santri-santri yang melakukan larangan dan kesalahan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audiovisual-assisted recitationactivities in improving memorization skills of students at the Tahfidz Baitul Qur'anBinjai Islamic Boarding School and the obstacles encountered. This researchmethod uses a qualitative approach with field research. The respondents in thisstudy were all 16 male students at the Tahfidz Baitul Qur'an Binjai IslamicBoarding School. The results of this study indicate that audiovisual assistance iseffective in improving memorization skills of students. Audiovisual assistance withradio is very helpful for students to remember quickly, because the stimulus oflistening helps children in improving their memory. Therefore, the author providesconstructive suggestions for future research to conduct research in Islamicboarding schools that have existed for 20 years. Also, the Tahfidz Baitul Qur'anBinjai Islamic Boarding School Foundation can implement jasus (spies) from itsselected students to monitor and report students who commit prohibitions anderrors.

Abstract

Abstract: The Intellectual Tradition of Mandailing Ulama in East Sumatra: Zainal Arifin Abbas, 1912-1979. This study examines the biography, works and contributions of Zainal Arifin Abbas in East Sumatra. The intellectual activity of Zainal Arifin Abbas’s in East Sumatra is influenced by parents, teachers, colleagues and those around him. This study examines the biography and contribution of Zainal Arifin Abbas in tradition and intellectual dynamics in East Sumatra. Applying a sociological-historical method, this study establishes that Zainal Arifin Abbas have indeed contributed very significantly in the field of education. Through his personal example, he managed to become a wise educator, initiator of the founding of the modern madrasa, and at the same time a prolific writer. He always showed enthusiasm in studying, integrating knowledge, glorifying teachers, and always giving an understanding of the urgency of religious education to the community. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan pendekatan Wahdatul Ulum dalam proses pemberdayaan masyarakat, dengan menekankan pada integrasi antara nilai-nilai Islam dan ilmu sosial. Fokus utama dari kajian ini adalah bagaimana konsep kesatuan ilmu yang bersumber dari wahyu dan rasio dapat diwujudkan dalam praktik sosial kemasyarakatan yang bersifat transformatif dan partisipatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, mengkaji berbagai literatur keislaman, teori ilmu sosial, serta dokumentasi pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis nilai Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Wahdatul Ulum memberikan kerangka konseptual yang kuat dalam merancang program pemberdayaan yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada aspek material, tetapi juga spiritual, etika, dan kultural. Integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dengan ilmu sosial menghasilkan model pemberdayaan yang seimbang antara pembangunan individu dan kolektif dalam masyarakat. Namun, tantangan masih muncul dalam bentuk dikotomi ilmu, resistensi sosial, serta lemahnya sinergi antara institusi keagamaan dan sosial. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi kontribusi dalam pengembangan paradigma pemberdayaan masyarakat Islami yang holistik dan kontekstual.

Abstract

The number of students who are not yet fluent readers is the focus of this research. First-grade students at Rahva Marindal 1 Elementary School are the subjects of this study, which aims to document their reading comprehension during the 2024–2025 academic year. All twenty-eight first-grade students at Rahva Marindal 1 Elementary School during the 2024–2025 academic year constitute the population of this research. A software package called IBM SPSS Statistics 27 was used to assist with the data analysis process. The first-grade students at SD Marindal 1 showed improvement in their reading comprehension after using picture cards as a teaching aid. The asymp.sig (2-tailed) value was 0.000, as indicated by the "test statistics" output. The decision to reject the null hypothesis (HO) was made because the significance value (0.002) was less than 0.05. This indicates that the post-test results of the observation sample differed significantly from their pre-test scores. In other words, the test scores of first-grade students at Rahva Elementary School were significantly influenced by the use of picture card media.

Abstract

One unique component that contributes to an individual’s intellect is their capacity for calculation. The Congklak game is one of the most useful educational tools for helping primary school pupils improve their numeracy abilities. An ancient game that continues to rise in popularity in Indonesian society is congklak. This kind of research uses experimental methodologies and is quantitative in nature. Pre Experimental Designs is the design that was employed in this study. One Group Pretest-Posttest Design is the type of pre-experimental design that is employed. A significant value (p) of 0.000 < 0.05 was found for the Paired Sample T-Test analysis, yielding a value of t = -11.730. This demonstrates that class I students at SDN 22 Bilah Hulu had a different average numeracy ability before and after receiving learning materials in the form of the classic game congklak. After receiving learning materials in the style of the classic Congklak game, students’ average numeracy skill is higher than it was prior to receiving the conventional Congklak game learning materials. This study demonstrates the efficacy of the classic Congklak game learning resource in raising primary school students’ numeracy proficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai toleransi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di sekolah multikultural berdasarkan perspektif Wahdatul Ulum. Lokasi penelitian adalah SMP Negeri 10210967 Medan, yang memiliki jumlah siswa beragama Kristen sebanyak 554 orang dan siswa beragama Islam sebanyak 500 orang. Keberagaman tersebut menjadikan sekolah ini sebagai miniatur masyarakat Indonesia yang plural, sehingga memerlukan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk menanamkan nilai toleransi sejak dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan secara intensif untuk menggali praktik nyata penerapan toleransi di lingkungan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI tidak hanya berfokus pada penyampaian materi ajar, tetapi juga berperan sebagai teladan dalam membimbing siswa untuk memahami pentingnya sikap saling menghargai perbedaan agama. Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan inklusif yang mendorong interaksi aktif antar siswa, penanaman nilai rahmatan lil ‘alamin sebagai dasar kasih sayang universal, serta penggunaan metode dialogis untuk membangun komunikasi yang terbuka dan penuh rasa hormat. Selain itu, dukungan pihak sekolah melalui program-program penunjang turut memperkuat terciptanya budaya toleransi di lingkungan sekolah. Perspektif Wahdatul Ulum memberikan landasan filosofis bahwa kesatuan antara ilmu agama dan pengetahuan sosial harus diinternalisasikan secara harmonis agar dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki kepekaan sosial dan kemampuan hidup berdampingan secara damai. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi sekolah-sekolah multikultural lainnya dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran PAI yang kontekstual dan relevan dengan dinamika masyarakat plural.
