Abstract

The purpose of this study was to characterize teacher candidate students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) using the Van Hiele analysis level. The qualitative descriptive method was employed in this study. The Van Hiele Geometry Test and the HOTS test served as the research instruments. Data were gathered via tests and interviews. Next, two participants who, in accordance with Van Hiele's theory, had attained the analytical level among third-semester primary school teacher education students served as the research subjects. According to Van Hiele's theory, the research's findings indicated that the students who attained the analysis level were unable to meet HOTS indicators including analysis, evaluating, and creativity indicators. Since the students did not state proper reasons to support the conclusion, which it was used during the process of conclusion.

Abstract

Abstract: Textbooks are one of the supporting learning processes and must be prepared according to the applicable curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum. In fact, not all books used in the learning process currently have quality content and relevant content suitability. Moreover, not all textbooks have been prepared using a scientific approach. One of the textbooks that need to be reviewed is the Mechanics and Machine Elements for Class X on Vocational High Schools. There is a need for a study related to the suitability of the contents of the books according to KI and KD and adjust to aspects of the appropriateness of content, language, presentation, and graphics of textbooks. The preparation of the book must also be adjusted to the scientific approach in accordance with the 2013’s curriculum.

Abstract

Environmental well-being is significantly impacted by public consciousness regarding waste management.   Households must be conscious of their ability to effectively utilize and manage waste before disposing of it in a landfill.   Tempursari Village, located in Donomulyo District, is a promising area in Malang Regency for implementing waste processing technology. This is due to the abundance of organic waste that remains unmanaged and underutilized.  The technologies in question are composters and digesters.   The implementation of composter and digester technology in Tempursari village results in a 55% reduction of organic waste generated by each household.   Previously unprocessed trash is now directly deposited into the composter bin for processing.   The application of composter technology extends beyond the management of organic waste.   Nevertheless, it is currently undergoing further development as a substrate for planting.   Using digester technology, it was discovered that each digester tube with a volume of 150-200 litres could produce biogas with a capacity of 500 litres. This biogas could be utilized for cooking purposes within a time frame of 60 to 120 minutes.   These findings significantly contribute to the community's endeavours to minimize the utilization of LPG gas.

Abstract

This study was to determine the effect of machining skills and numeracy literacy skills formation on PBL model welding practicum for Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program students in the year 2016 and 2017. The method of this research approach was quantitative with path analysis. This study used a random sampling technique. The results showed that (1) the machining skills formation significantly influenced the PBL model welding practicum; and (2) the numeracy literacy skills formation significantly influences the PBL model welding practicum for students. The numeracy literacy skills test results have the most influence on the PBL model welding practicum for students

Abstract

The research objective was to evaluate the industrial practice programs using the Kirkpatrick's evaluation model, which focuses on human resource development. This study used a four-levels of the Kirkpatrick evaluation model, namely reaction, learning, behaviour, and results. The research subjects were the students majoring in mechanical engineering at Private Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen who had done industrial practices. The data was collected using a questionnaire instrument, test, interview, and documentation. Based on the data analysis, the evaluation of the industrial practice program on the student's reaction aspect using the facilities, material, instructor, time, and infrastructure indicators was in the 'good' category. The pre-test and post-test results in the learning aspect experienced an increase, as indicated by the mean values of 61.83 and 80.83. Behavioural aspects based on changes in work behaviour, skills and knowledge generally underwent significant changes. The results aspect showed the impact of graduate work performance on increasing incomes and positions; the data showed that only a small proportion of graduates get this increase. The school can use the results of this study as input in dealing with various problems and the success of industrial practice programs.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this scientific study is to find out the perspective of the upskilling and reskilling program in preparing skilled, relevant, work-ready and productive human resources in vocational education. In vocational education, most are focused on graduates who have a special expertise. The role of the teacher is the key to the successful implementation of the activities to be achieved. The right program to prepare is by upskilling and reskilling industry standards. The technique used is a literature study using the PICOC method (problem, intervention, comparison, outcome, context). The results of this literature study reveal a global perspective, application and urgency regarding industry-standard upskilling and reskilling programs for vocational education teachers.Abstrak: Tujuan dari kajian ilmiah ini untuk mengetahui prespektif program  upskilling dan reskilling dalam menyiapkan sumber daya manusia yang terampil, relevan, siap bekerja dan produktif pada Pendidikan vokasi. Pada Pendidikan vokasi, sebagian besar difokuskan dengan lulusan yang memiliki suatu keahlian khusus. Peran dari guru merupakan kunci dari keberhasilan terimplementasinya kegiatan yang akan dicapai. Program yang tepat untuk menyiapkan yakni dengan upskilling dan reskilling standar industri. Teknik yang digunakan yakni studi literature dengan metode PICOC (problem, intervention, comparation, outcome, context). Hasil dari studi literatur ini mengetahui perspektif global, penerapan dan urgensi terkait program upskilling dan reskilling berstandar industri bagi guru pendidikan vokasi.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) are abilities that should be possessed by all vocational high School (VHS) students, because VHS graduates are required to have good soft skills and hard skills. The reality that occurs the ability of HOTS possessed by students is still very low, it is proven based on the exposure of several researchers strengthened by conducting observations and observations in VHS. Therefore the research aims to determine student learning activities when taught using blended learning Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and jigsaw, using direct learning models, and their effects on HOTS. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi experimental nonequivalent control group design method with research subjects of 50 students using simple random sampling. Data collection techniques using the test instrument in the form of multiple choice and description and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. Research data were analyzed by independent sample t-test. The results showed that the use of STAD and jigsaw blended learning in learning made students more active and enthusiastic in participating in learning activities, direct learning models made students less active and lacked enthusiasm in the learning process, and STAD and jigsaw blended learning significantly affected compared to learning models directly to HOTS.

Abstract

Minimnya penelitian tentang dampak metode SAS dan dukungan orang tua terhadap kemampuan calistung siswa SD melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Kemampuan calistung menjadi dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa untuk mendukung pemahaman lebih lanjut. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak metode SAS dan orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan calistung. Penelitian menggunakan database, yakni openknowledge maps, publish or perish, dan google scholar. Pengumpulan data mengacu pada diagram PRISMA. Dari 600 artikel, 34 artikel digunakan dalam penelitian. Teknik analisis data berupa deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode SAS membentuk dasar literasi, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, dan memajukan kemampuan visual serta numerik siswa. Peran orang tua dalam menyediakan lingkungan belajar mendorong kebiasaan membaca siswa. Kombinasi metode SAS di sekolah dan orang tua secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan calistung siswa.

Abstract

Abstract There are more than 3000 active prisoners in Malang class 1. Many activity programs are carried out by prisons to equip prisoners to train independence even behind bars. One of the independence coaching that needs to be highlighted at this time is the field of shibori making. The problems encountered in the field at this time are still minimal knowledge about making shibori, the quality of the products produced is not optimal, and the variety of designs produced is also limited. In the previous community service, training in shibori making had been carried out and received good interest from the fostered residents, but after evaluating the field, it turned out that there were many enthusiasts who entered the sibori work guidance and the human resources who understood shibori making were still very minimal. In addition, participants who participated in the previous training also felt not too confident to pass on the knowledge they had gained in the previous training to their friends. For this reason, shibori work guidance feels that further training is still needed to strengthen the skills of existing human resources and also explore shibori-making motifs with various techniques. The average foster citizen does not understand the technique and color composition of making shibori that can produce good motifs and colors. So that in this shibori bimker further training is needed to solve these problems. Abstrak Warga binaan Lapas kelas 1 Malang tercatat 3000 lebih penghuni yang aktif sekarang ini. Banyak program kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Lapas guna membekali warga binaan untuk melatih kemandirian meskipun dibalik jeruji besi. Salah satu pembinaan kemandirian yang perlu mendapat sorotan saat ini adalah bidang pembuatan shibori. Permasalahan yang dijumpai di lapangan saat ini masih minim pengetahuan tentang pembuatan shibori, kualitas hasil produk yang dihasilkan kurang maksimal, dan ragam design yang diproduksi juga terbatas. Pada pengabdian masyarakat sebelumnya sudah pernah dilaksanakan pelatihan pembuatan shibori dan mendapatkan animo yang bagus dari warga binaan, namun setelah dilakukan evaluasi dilapangan ternyata banyak peminat yang masuk pada bimbingan kerja sibori dan SDM yang faham terkait pembuatan shibori masih sangat minim. Selain itu peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan sebelumnya juga merasa belum terlalu percaya diri untuk menularkan ilmu yang telah didapatkan pada pelatihanan sebelumnya kepada teman-temannya. Untuk itu Bimbingan kerja shibori merasa masih sangat memerlukan pelatihan lanjutan guna memantapkan skill SDM yang sudah ada dan juga mengeksplore motif pembuatan shibori dengan berbagai teknik. Rata-rata warga binaan kurang mengerti teknik dan komposisi warna pembuatan shibori yang dapat menghasilkan motif dan warna yang bagus. Sehingga pada bimker shibori ini diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan guna menyelesaikan persoalan tersebut.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional expost facto. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kompetensi mata pelajaran produk kreatif kewirausahaan dan kompetensi praktik kerja lapangan baik secara parsial maupun simultan dengan minat berwirausaha. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII teknik pemesinan SMK Nasional Malang berjumlah 30 siswa yang sudah menempuh mata pelajaran produk kreatif kewirausahaan dan sudah melaksanakan praktik kerja lapangan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik (uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji linearitas), uji hipotesis menggunakan teknik korelasi pearson product moment (parsial) dan teknik korelasi berganda (simultan). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: : (1) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi mata pelajaran produk kreatif kewirausahaan dengan minat berwirausaha, (2) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi praktik kerja lapangan dengan minat berwirausaha, (3) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi mata pelajaran produk kreatif kewirausahaan dan kompetensi praktik kerja lapangan dengan minat berwirausaha. Kata Kunci: Mata pelajaran produk kreatif kewirausahaan, Praktik kerja lapangan, Minat berwirausaha.
