Abstract

The development of communication science and technology is advancing rapidly in the current era of globalization. Various innovations and technologies have been utilized to facilitate human activities through social media. Communication has become a vital necessity for all individuals, regardless of age, gender, occupation, or social status. Post the industrialization era, we are now entering the information age. This research aims to evaluate the influence of Instagram social media usage intensity on the creativity of students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Pancasakti University, Tegal. The study adopts the New Media theory with a quantitative approach. The research population consists of students from the 2017 and 2018 cohorts, with a sample of 75 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires. The research findings indicate a positive relationship between Instagram social media usage intensity and student creativity, as evidenced by the calculation of t-test > t-table (12.265 > 1.999). The influence of social media usage intensity in this study is 67.3%, while the remaining 32.7% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The natural concept of Pikako Coffee Shop and Watu Sangan Coffee Shop is based on natural conditions, without using luxurious buildings. Both carry the Dupont House concept, the seating is made of wood, and although it cannot be called luxurious, the views and surroundings are comparable to an urban cafe. The nature of the Komal River has its own attraction for tourists, especially those from outside the city. This research examines how the natural concept used in two cafes in Pemalang Regency, Pikaco and Watu Sangan, is used as a marketing communication strategy to improve brand image by using interviews as a data collection technique. The results of this research are the natural concept used in Pikako and Watu Sangan coffee shops, product supporting theory, price, location, promotion, and brand image, three factors to increase the popularity of Brand Association Benefits. Brand Association Strength Brand Association Uniqueness Using descriptive qualitative research methods and interview techniques, obtain data to improve brand image.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran menuntut adanya partisipasi aktif dari siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, dalam praktiknya, pembelajaran tidak dilakukan secara aktif oleh siswa. Menurut temuan pengamatan peneliti, anak hanya memperhatikan penjelasan guru. Diantisipasi bahwa menggunakan model Discovery Learning akan mendorong pembelajaran aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pembelajaran aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMPN 1 Taman dengan menggunakan model discovery learning. SMPN 1 Taman menyelenggarakan pembelajaran ini pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022–2023. 37 anak dari kelas VII-I, termasuk 19 laki-laki dan 18 perempuan, dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus termasuk dalam kategori ini. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Informasi yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini berupa data keaktifan belajar yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi kemudian ditelaah secara deskriptif. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa menjadi lebih aktif terlibat dalam belajar mereka. Pada pra siklus, 55,14% siswa aktif belajar; pada siklus I 66,49% siswa aktif belajar; dan pada siklus II, 79,46% siswa terlibat dalam pembelajaran aktif. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dalam mempelajari matematika.

Abstract

Social media is a digital platform that facilitates online social activities for users, including communication, interaction, and content creation such as writing, videos, or photos. Information shared on social media can reach a wide audience and be accessed by users globally within a short period, typically within 24 hours. Popular examples of social media platforms include Instagram and TikTok. This research is grounded in New Media theory and Social Learning Theory. These theories align with the hypothesis of the study, particularly in understanding digital data controlled by software, such as social media platforms, and how exposure to social media content can influence behavior, as outlined in the Social Learning Theory. The study focuses on observing imitative behavior among students at Al-Irsyad High School in Tegal City. The research adopts a quantitative approach, specifically descriptive research. Through data analysis, the researchers were able to confirm the hypothesis using the Pearson Product Moment Test or correlation analysis. The findings indicate a positive correlation with a strong degree of association, supporting the hypothesis.

Abstract

Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi adanya pengaruh penggunaan software geogebra terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Riset ini berbentuk korelasional menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah populasinya pada riset ini sekitar 321 siswa dan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 178 siswa. Riset diaplikasikan di kelas VII di 2 SMP yaitu UPT. SMPN 20 Gresik dan SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas. Instrumen yang dipakai untuk riset ialah tes praktik penggunaan software geogebra, tes tulis kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika, serta tes tulis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Tekniknya dalam analisa data yang dipakai ialah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) bertaraf signifikansinya sekitar 5% sedangkan program yang dipakai dalam penganalisisan datanya ialah AMOS 22. Hasilnya menurut riset ini menggambarkan bahwa (1) adanya pengaruh positif yang siginifikan diantara penggunaan software geogebra terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa, (2) adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan diantara penggunaan software geogebra dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa, dan (3) adanya pengaruh positif bersignifikansi diantara kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching material products in the form of electronic story books to increase the character of caring for the environment in the Android-based Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). This study uses data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and observations. The data collection instruments used were product rating scales, character self-assessment questionnaires about caring for the environment, character observation guidelines and teacher and student interviews. Research data were analyzed using the percentage formula. Based on the assessment of media experts, the electronic storybook product scored 80.1% in the good category, according to linguists, the electronic storybook product scored 84.95% in the good category, and the material expert's assessment was 86.35% in the good category. The use of electronic story books for students in elementary schools on individual scale tests obtained an average percentage of 87.25% with very good criteria, 88.70% small-scale trials with very good criteria then carried out large-scale product trials on average percentage of 86.20% while the results of data analysis of operational trial results show significant results of electronic story books in the formation of environmental care, planting environmental care, and maintaining environmental care. Electronic storybooks on class III Pancasila and citizenship education lessons at Cijengkol 02 State Elementary School, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province, are appropriate for use as additional learning media in enhancing the environmental care character of students in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research discusses the social interactions of children with Down syndrome through social media in the digital era. Down syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes sufferers to have a low level of intelligence and distinctive physical abnormalities. The aim of this research is to find out how social interactions of children with Down syndrome occur through social media in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative approach with case studies. The methods used to collect data include observation, interviews, and documentation. Four stages of qualitative data analysis were carried out, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and the final step was drawing conclusions and verification. The population of this study were children with Down syndrome in Pacitan and Wonogiri Regency. The sample from this study was 10 children with Down syndrome and their parents. The results of this research show that children with Down syndrome can interact with other people more intensely with technology, namely through laptops and cellphones. Children with Down syndrome can send written messages via social media, namely WhatsApp, Facebook, and TikTok. This research provides new information because many previous studies only focused on studying the use of social media in normal children. In fact, children with Down syndrome also use social media as a means of interacting with other people. Further research needs to be done to determine the consequences of this interaction.

Abstract

Humans have different learning styles including: visual learning styles or based on vision; auditory learning style or based on hearing; and kinesthetic learning styles based on feelings. Learning styles in a scientific perspective already exist in the Qur'an, in Surah An-Nahl (16:78): learning style " السَّمْ ع "-"Al-Sam'a", which means learning based on hearing; learning style “ الْْ بْ صا ر ”-“Al-Abshôr”, which means learning based on vision; learning style " الْْ فْئِد ة "-"Al-Af'idah", which means learning based on feelings. This research conducted a study on learning styles in 100 students of SMAN 2 Cikarang Selatan. A learning style questionnaire was given to students and the results were analyzed. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that 42% of students have a visual learning style, 32% have an auditory learning style and 27% have a kinesthetic learning style.

Abstract

The rapid development of sharia-based business in the world and in Indonesia, among others, is shown by the many opportunities open to sharia business, which requires various companies to aggressively develop marketing mix strategies for their products that apply sharia principles. The main basis of sharia principles is based on values or substantive content contained in various surahs and verses of the Qur'an, as well as hadiths, all of which are related to the values of sharia business principles. Meanwhile, the marketing mix theory states that there are 4 variables in marketing, known as the "4P" variables, namely; Product, Price, Place, Promotion whose values have been widely taught in various universities, and have been widely implemented by various companies in the world to devise a form of marketing mix strategy in an effort to win the competitive market for their respective products. On the other hand, the Al-Qur'an as the main basis of sharia principles, it is suspected that among its various surahs and verses, it has substantive content that is similar to the values in the “4P” variable Marketing, so that it can be used to develop a marketing mix strategy from Al's perspective. -Quran. The Writing based on this literature study reveals that there is substantive content between surahs and verses of the Qur'an which has a real resemblance to the values in the "4P" variable of Marketing so that a form of marketing mix strategy from an Al-Qur'an perspective is structured.

Abstract

Sumber dana Pesantren masih sangatlah terbatas. Keterbatasan dana ini lah yang menjadikan honor pendidik/guru/ustadz masih terbatas. Selain daripada itu, dikarenakan honor guru/ustadz masih sangat terbatas, maka pesantren tidak dapat menerapkan secara ketat kualifikasi pengajar, Kualifikasi mengajar tentunya sangat berkaitan erat dengan honor atau tunjangan yang diberikan oleh Pondok Pesantren. Untuk meningkatkan minat berwirausaha maka pentingnya peran Pesantren dalam mendorong para guru untuk memiliki aktivitas tambahan di luar Pesantren, yaitu berwirausaha. Untuk berwirausaha maka perlu ilmu yang mendukung hal tersebut, yaitu Studi Kelayakan Bisnis Syariah. Secara umum kegiatan penyuluhan ini sukses diselenggarakan mengingat adanya peningkatan nilai yang signifikan pada post test. Sementara itu pilihan ide usaha yang ditentukan oleh para guru masih terbatas pada usaha jualan produk makanan minuman serta jasa layanan pendidikan.
