Abstract

Multicultural education is an alternative to build togetherness in the diversity of society, and multiculturalism requires the accommodation of minority rights, both cultural and social. This research focuses on constructing a multicultural understanding of religious sects disseminated through religious sects. The research aims to describe the multicultural education of religious understanding that aims to build social harmony amid the diversity of religious sects in Sana Daja village. This research approach uses qualitative ethnography type. The data sources in this research are leaders of religious organizations, heads of religious activities, kyai, lora, and people who know the changes in interaction between religious sects in the research location. The results showed that some religious groups in the village of Sana Daja disseminate multiculturalism through religious activities such as recitation, traditions, or community social activities; religious sects become instruments of social power to instill multicultural awareness. The construction of multicultural education between religious views begins with recategorization and desacralization, explaining the various interpretations of fiqh, emphasizing the substance and purpose of religious activities, and placing religious traditions as part of ijtihad products in the practical realm. This multicultural awareness construction can slowly open the isolation of minority religious groups, build communication between religious groups that have been constrained due to conflict, and foster an attitude of tolerance so that awareness is born to build ukhuwah Islamiyah in society.

Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to obtain information about the development and implementation of Islamic religious education curricula in inclusive schools or madrasas. An inclusive school or madrasah is an educational institution that provides opportunities for all students, including students with special needs, to study together with the help of accompanying teachers. Design/methods/approach – This study used a systematic literature review of accredited articles from 2018-2023, data collected from Google Scholar, the Science and Technology Index of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, and Scopus. Descriptive analysis techniques were used as data analysis techniques. The researcher obtained 120 articles, which further extracted and coded them using the NVivo application, and then found 25 articles that met the TAPUPAS criteria and were relevant to the research question. Findings – Based on the results of the analysis and literature review, some conclusions have been drawn. First, developing an inclusive Islamic religious education curriculum in schools or madrasas has been adjusted to the character of students with special needs and the simplification of subject matter. Meanwhile, the obstacle for Islamic teachers in developing the curriculum is the lack of knowledge to identify students with special needs and limited learning resources and media about it. Second, the implementation is in the form of the application of individual approaches, varied models and methods that have an impact on the effectiveness of learning, and visual media and assessment techniques based on basic abilities for students with special needs in inclusive schools or madrasas. Research implications/limitations – The results of this study still have limitations in the number of articles analyzed and reviewed, especially those published in Sinta 1 accredited journals. Originality/value – This study can be used as a reference for future research, which is expected to provide a more comprehensive study so that the research findings can be improved or perfect.

The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings reveal that the inclusive curriculum at SPS Permata Probolinggo emphasizes the development of independent character in students with special needs through the application of Islamic values, including aqidah, ibadah, and akhlak mulia. The curriculum is designed based on national education laws and adapted to meet the needs of students, aiming to enhance their cognitive, socio-emotional abilities, and life skills. Learning is conducted using a "one-to-one" method, which is gradually transitioned into a classroom setting to train students in socialization and collaboration skills.

Abstract

The Paradigm of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) with the concept of "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" (mercy to the entire universe) has been a subject of debate and a primary focus from various perspectives. In this view, IRE is seen as a means to understand, interpret, and implement Islamic teachings in a broader and more inclusive context. Various perspectives that emerge encompass aspects such as education, social, and humanitarian concerns. In terms of education, IRE with the "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" paradigm emphasizes the importance of educating individuals with a profound understanding of Islam while also promoting tolerance, mutual understanding, and interfaith cooperation in a pluralistic society. From a social perspective, IRE with this paradigm serves as a tool to promote peace, harmony, and equality in a culturally and religiously diverse society. Moreover, from a humanitarian perspective, "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" emphasizes humanitarian values, justice, and a deep understanding of human rights. Therefore, the IRE paradigm of "Rahmatan Lil Alamin" makes a significant contribution to efforts to create an inclusive, tolerant, and collectively welfare-oriented society.

Abstract

Islamic religious education for students is very important because religion will guide, control and control all children's behavior. Because only religion can control and direct humans to the good path. So education and guidance regarding Islamic religious education must be more effective. This requires teachers to really understand the material or teaching materials that will be delivered. This research uses a qualitative methodology with a Literature Study approach, this approach is used to extract information from literature sources that are relevant to the research focus, both from books, journals and the results of previous research findings. The results of research on PAI material analysis illustrate that there are several important things for teachers to do, including; Gardening, Classifying or grouping learning materials based on relevant topics, themes or concepts. Second, choose the material that is most relevant and in accordance with the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL) and Competency Standards (SK) for Islamic Religious Education subjects by paying attention to students' conditions and interests, because quite a few teachers deliver material without understanding students' needs and desires. Third, Present the material in depth to the selected material and adapt it to the students' abilities. Fourth, teachers must also be careful in choosing the methods and strategies used when delivering teaching material, so that students can enjoy the learning process enthusiastically and pleasantly. Fifth, the teacher determines indicators of expected learning outcomes from the development of the material taught.
