Abstract

Upaya menurunkan kematian ibu menjadi prioritas utama program pembangunan kesehatan nasional. Efforts to reduce maternal mortality is national health development program priority. Antenatal care (ANC) became part of the “Four Pillars of Safe Motherhood” as a policy of the Ministry of Health to accelerate the reducing of maternal mortality rate (MMR). The quality of ANC in terms of performance of services are measured by village midwives compliance towards the ANC standards in giving satisfaction to pregnant women. This study aimed at identifyng factors that influenced compliance rate of village midwifes towards ANC standards. This is a cross sectional study using secondary data from District Health Office Muaro Jambi, using 165 village midwifes as sample. This study found that compliance rate of village midwifes is still below the minimum ANC standard, 74,28%. This study proved that factors that influence compliance of village midwifes to ANC standards are supervision, knowledge, and organizational commitment. Supervision is the most dominant factor and knowledge is the confounder factor in the relationship between supervision and organizational commitment to compliance towards ANC standards. It is recommended to carry out continuously and comprehensive supervision by measuring compliance, identify problems, make improvements, and provide feedback so that quality of health care especially ANC could continously improved.

Abstract

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bogor City Government regulated to cover the health financing claim during the Indonesian National Health Insurance (NHI) integration period due to the lower amount of health care claim per episode in regional hospitals compared to ones that NHI paid. This study aimed to address post-COVID-19 health financing at two hospitals in Bogor City, West Java Province, Indonesia. Descriptive analysis using the aggregate statistical summaries was taken to explore the medical care episodes of the data series at two hospitals for the last two years. Of the 890 checked medical records data, the deficit occurred in 197 (22.1%) medical care episodes, while five (0.6%) exceeded the hospitals' tariffs. The remaining 688 (77.3%) medical care episodes had suits with the Indonesian-Case Based Groups. Almost a quarter of medical care episodes in aggregate experienced a deficit in the two years before the pandemic. This study is the first to provide new insight into the discussion on medical care financing in a developing country's post-pandemic era in a newly implemented NHI system.

Abstract

The Open Defecation Free (ODF) program was initiated by the government to increase access to healthy latrines. This study aimed to evaluate the ODF program using the CIPP evaluation model. A qualitative and exploratory descriptive method was adopted to investigate informants' experiences regarding the program's implementation. Data was explored through semi-structured interviews with 17 informants and analyzed using content analysis. The results showed that the program was crucial as numerous people engaged in open defecation due to economic, geographical, cultural, and knowledge factors. The absence of ODF policy was due to lack of priority, limited government and private support, insufficient human resources, inadequate infrastructure, and budget constraints. The ODF program was considered unimportant and tended to follow stunting programs, reflecting the low commitment. The biggest opportunity was implementing an integrated ODF with a stunting reduction program by allocating a special budget. Thus, primary health care is expected to optimize activities further to trigger the ODF program within the environment.

Abstract

Anemia has a negative impact on physical function, especially reproductive organ function in adolescent girls. The prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls globally is still high at 29.6%, including in Indonesia at 32%. This study aims to analyze findings from studies related to the prevalence of anemia and consumption of iron supplements and the duration of menstruation in adolescent girls. The research design uses a systematic review with meta-analysis of articles that sourced from three databases, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Scopus. Search for articles using Publish or Perish software, and selected according to inclusion criteria, namely Indonesian or English language, full-text from 2013 to 2022, cross-sectional study design with the adjusted odds ratio measure. The data analysis using RevMan 5.4. Total of 10 articles met the inclusion criteria from 11,425 articles identified. The average prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls was 34.55% (CI 95%: 19.49-49.60). The results of the meta-analysis showed that iron supplement consumption (aOR= 6.17; 95% CI= 1.66-22.93; P-value 0.01) and menstrual duration (aOR= 5.97; 95% CI= 3.60-27.66; P- value= 0.04) influences the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. It is recommended that young women always consume iron supplements according to government programs, especially during menstruation.
