The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post group design. The study population consists of 22 kindergarten students who were randomly selected. The sampling technique is total sampling consisting of 11 experimental group and 11 a control group. The experimental group was given the Get Resih treatment – a knowledge scale of clean and healthy living behaviors used in the pretest and posttest. The results were analyzed using independent t-test and paired t-test samples. The results showed that there was a significant increase in CHLB knowledge between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group. Meanwhile, in the controlled group, no significant knowledge of CHLB was found. It can be concluded that the Get Resih application can increase CHLB knowledge in children.

Abstract

Adverse events remain prevalent in primary healthcare, with an estimated 24–85% considered preventable. However, their identification is hindered by limited reporting accuracy and the absence of standardized risk classification systems. This study, conducted through a Community Service Program (PkM), sought to promote patient safety culture by disseminating assessment findings, delivering educational sessions, and facilitating case-based discussions. Evaluation results demonstrated improved knowledge among community health center (Puskesmas) staff regarding patient safety culture and strategies for its enhancement. To strengthen patient safety, Puskesmas management is advised to optimize staff workload allocation, enhance competence and capacity, foster open communication, ensure a non-punitive reporting environment, and implement accessible, user-friendly reporting systems. Sustained application of these strategies is essential for continuous improvement in healthcare quality and patient safety.

Abstract

The global disease burden has shifted epidemiologically toward non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with coronary heart disease (CHD) as the leading cause of global mortality, contributing to 36% of deaths. Objective: This study aimed to identify the effect size and variability model of CHD determinants in the productive age group. A systematic review and meta-analysis approach was conducted between January and May 2025. Primary data were retrieved from Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus, restricted to studies published from 2019 to 2023. Out of 18,132 articles identified, 12 studies met the eligibility criteria. Data were analyzed using STATA 17.0. The systematic review protocol was prospectively registered in PROSPERO (Registration: CRD420250602556). The proportion of CHD in the productive age group was 5.3% (95% CI: 1.50–9.00). The meta-analysis of smoking habits showed a non-significant association with CHD (OR = 1.29; 95% CI = 0.54–1.69; p = 0.397), whereas hypertension was found to have a significant impact (OR = 1.95; 95% CI = 1.49–2.42; p = 0.176). No publication bias was detected. Hypertension significantly contributes to the incidence of CHD in the productive age group. CHD prevention should target this age group, especially in countries with high CHD prevalence. Interventions should include physical activity promotion, aggressive anti-smoking campaigns, nutritional education to reduce obesity, and early screening and management of diabetes and hypertension at the primary healthcare level.

Abstract

Introduction: Patient safety is a fundamental component of hospital service quality and is strongly influenced by patient safety culture. Various individual factors, including demographic characteristics, job stress, and work-related fatigue, are considered to play an important role in shaping patient safety culture in hospitals. Objective: The study population consisted of all hospital staff, both clinical and non-clinical, with a total sample of 197 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. Method: This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. Result and Discussion: showed that patient safety culture at RSUD X, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, was predominantly in the low category. Bivariate analysis indicated a significant relationship between gender and patient safety culture, while age, education level, employment status, length of work, job stress, and work fatigue were not significantly associated with patient safety culture. Multivariate analysis revealed that gender was the most dominant factor associated with patient safety culture. Conclusions: patient safety culture at RSUD X still requires improvement, and gender is the most influential individual factor related to patient safety culture

Abstract

Introduction: Patient Safety Culture (PSC) remains critically low at Regional General Hospital X, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, necessitating a systematic investigation of its determinants. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between demographic characteristics and work unit factors and patient safety culture at Regional General Hospital X, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, in 2025. Method: Proportional random sampling was employed, and data were collected using the standardized Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC) questionnaire. Bivariate analysis identified significant associations between PSC and several variables, including gender, education, employment status, work area, and workload. Multivariate logistic regression confirmed that work unit factors constituted the most dominant predictor of PSC Results and discussion: These findings indicate that PSC improvement requires targeted organizational interventions — particularly in workload management, interprofessional communication, and teamwork — rather than approaches focused solely on individual characteristics Conclusion: This study found that demographic characteristics and work unit factors have a significant relationship with patient safety culture at Regional General Hospital X, East Tanjung Jabung Regency. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve patient safety culture by strengthening work unit management, improving communication, teamwork, and optimal workload management to support the quality and safety of healthcare services in the hospital
