Abstract

The role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is increasingly pivotal in enhancing the performance and effectiveness of educational institutions, yet there remains a gap in understanding how cultural values rooted in local wisdom influence OCB. This research explores the effects of spiritual beliefs, cooperative behavior, and perceptions of organizational justice on OCB, with job satisfaction positioned as a mediating factor. A mixed-method design was utilized, combining quantitative survey data and qualitative interview findings involving educators in West Java. Analytical techniques included structural equation modeling for the quantitative data and thematic analysis for the qualitative responses. The study reveals that job satisfaction plays a crucial mediating role, particularly amplifying the influence of organizational justice, which was found to be the most dominant factor impacting OCB. These outcomes highlight the importance of nurturing a work culture that emphasizes fairness, collective harmony, and internalized values to foster higher levels of job satisfaction and discretionary behavior. The findings offer practical recommendations for educational organizations to implement policies that support psychological well-being, shared values, and organizational transparency in order to optimize positive employee contributions.

Abstract

This study develops a model for enhancing early childhood education (ECE) teacher creativity based on local wisdom and organizational support in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia. Using path analysis and SITOREM methodology, the research examines direct and mediated effects among 160 ECE teachers selected through simple random sampling. Findings reveal that local wisdom significantly influences teacher creativity both directly (β = 0.52, p < 0.001) and indirectly through organizational support (β = 0.23, p < 0.01), with a total effect of β = 0.75. Organizational support demonstrates substantial direct effects (β = 0.41, p < 0.001), particularly through leadership encouragement, collaborative environments, and resource provision. The SITOREM analysis categorizes 28 indicators into four quadrants, identifying seven high-performing indicators to maintain (including traditional games integration, M = 4.12) and twelve requiring priority improvement. The three most critical gaps are: use of local arts as learning media (β = 0.44, M = 2.31), collaborative opportunities in culture-based learning design (β = 0.41, M = 2.45), and incentive systems for innovation (β = 0.39, M = 2.18). Key barriers include teacher confidence deficits in traditional arts (67%), resource limitations, and time constraints. The study proposes a three-tier implementation framework addressing institutional foundations, professional development, and systemic quality enhancement, differentiated by school resource levels, principal cultural competency, and teacher experience. Results underscore the need for contextual teacher development integrating cultural values with organizational reform. The study offers evidence-based strategies for fostering culturally-rooted teacher innovation in organizationally supportive environments.

Abstract

This study explores the diffusion of disruptive innovation in Islamic primary education through the implementation of Smart Teacher AI, an AI-driven professional learning platform designed to strengthen teachers’ digital competence. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on Borg and Gall’s model, focusing on the implementation phase of Smart Teacher AI in SD Islam Al Ittihad, Cibubur. Data were collected from 25 teachers using observation sheets, digital competence rubrics, focus group discussions, and system usage analytics. The findings reveal that the implementation of Smart Teacher AI aligns with Rogers’ diffusion of innovation framework, showing gradual adoption from innovators to early and late adopters. The platform significantly improves teachers’ digital skills in lesson planning, designing interactive learning media, and evaluating digital learning outcomes. The novelty of this study lies in integrating AI-assisted professional learning within the framework of Islamic values, bridging the gap between technological disruption and faith-based education. The results contribute to both theoretical and practical insights on innovation diffusion in education, emphasizing that digital transformation in Islamic schools requires not only technology readiness but also value-driven leadership and sustainable pedagogical adaptation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test a model for increasing teacher innovation through strengthening the variables of work motivation, knowledge sharing, organizational culture, and creativity. The method used in this study was a mixed method with a POP-SDM approach. The sample in this study consisted of 163 teachers taken from 43 public elementary schools in Tasikmalaya Regency. The results of the study show that R² = 0.820, meaning that 82% of the exogenous variables jointly influence the endogenous variables. Teacher innovation (Q² = 0.508). A Q² value of 0.508 indicates that the model has strong predictive power for the teacher innovation variable. BIC (Bayesian Information Criterion) -115.125 is the lowest value in the initial model, thus the initial model chosen in this study is the best model.

Abstract

This study aims to construct an integrated constellation model and determine optimal strategies for reinforcing lecturers’ professional commitment at leading private universities in Bogor. Utilizing the POP-SDM (Modeling and Optimization of Management Resources) framework, the research integrates elements of local wisdom and organizational support within a systemic approach to human resource development. The exploratory qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to uncover major determinants influencing professional commitment. From the thematic analysis, four principal variables emerged—teamwork, organizational climate, religiosity, and work motivation—which were validated through expert judgment. Quantitative verification was subsequently performed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique to examine both direct and indirect relationships among constructs. The analysis confirmed that all variables exert positive and significant effects on lecturers’ professional commitment, with work motivation being the most dominant factor. To refine improvement priorities, the SITOREM (Scientific Identification Theory for Conducting Operational Research in Educational Management) method was applied, identifying indicators that should be improved, maintained, or further developed. The findings offer empirical and practical insights, including: (1) a validated POP-SDM–based commitment model combining cultural and organizational dimensions; (2) evidence-based strategies to enhance lecturer professionalism; and (3) an optimization framework to guide sustainable lecturer development in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how strengthening teachers' organizational commitment can be achieved through the preservation of local wisdom and the strengthening of organizational support. The main focus of this study is on permanent teachers at the SMP Sekolah Penggerak Foundation School located in Bogor Regency. Based on the sample calculation technique, the number of samples was set at 215 respondents. Path Analysis and SITOREM Analysis are combined research methods that combine Path Analysis with SITOREM Analysis to reinforce the results. The method used mix metode in this study is the POP-SDM (Organizational Development and Human Resource Management) method, which allows researchers to identify the factors that influence teacher commitment comprehensively. Primary data: Data obtained from questionnaires distributed to a number of teachers at private vocational high schools (SMK) in the Center of Excellence in Bogor Regency, West Java. Secondary data: Data obtained from the, which are accessible to the public. This study found that local wisdom, which includes the values and cultural practices that exist in the local community, plays an important role in increasing teachers' sense of responsibility and loyalty to the organization. In addition, strengthening organizational support, which consists of providing adequate facilities, recognizing teachers' contributions, and empowering them in the decision-making process, also strengthens their commitment to work more optimally. The results of this study provide important contributions to the development of educational policies that consider local and organizational contexts, as well as recommendations for school administrators and educational institutions to create a supportive work environment that values local wisdom. The uniqueness of this study lies in the use of the POP-SDM approach, which integrates local and organizational aspects to strengthen teacher commitment in schools in Bogor Regency.
