Abstract

Teacher innovation is the key to improving the quality of learning. Although work motivation, organizational support, and creativity have been proven to influence teachers' innovation, there are still few integrative approaches that consider local wisdom such as gotong royong, a typical Indonesian cultural value. This research aims to develop and optimize a model that maps the role of mutual cooperation and work motivation in encouraging teacher innovation, to support strategic decision-making in the field of education. With a mixed-method approach, data were collected from 180 foundation permanent teachers (GTY) at private high schools in Bekasi Regency. The analysis was carried out using PLS-SEM, with validation of factor and path coefficients to optimize the model. The results showed that mutual cooperation had a significant direct effect on teachers' innovation (? = 0.180; p = 0.002) and work motivation (? = 0.623; p = 0.000), while work motivation was a strong predictor of teacher innovation (? = 0.766; p = 0.000). This research confirms that the culture of mutual cooperation and work motivation plays a strategic role in educational innovation. The integrated model developed is a new contribution to the management of teacher innovation based on culture and psychology and can be used in continuous education policies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of trust management and achievement motivation on teacher engagement in private vocational schools in Bogor Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a survey design. The research sample consisted of 215 teachers in various private vocational schools in Bogor Regency who were selected randomly. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire measuring three main variables: trust management, achievement motivation, and teacher engagement. The results of the study indicate that good trust management has a significant positive influence on the level of teacher engagement, with an average score of 4.3 (standard deviation 0.84). Additionally, achievement motivation also significantly contributed to increased teacher engagement, with an average score of 4.3 (standard deviation 0.81). Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that trust management and achievement motivation simultaneously had a significant impact on teacher engagement (p-value < 0.01). The practical implications of this study are the need for school management to improve communication transparency, provide adequate reward programs, and offer professional development opportunities for teachers. This study provides important insights for education managers to improve the quality of learning through increased teacher engagement.

Abstract

The quality of service in higher education institutions is very important because it can affect student satisfaction, learning outcomes, and the reputation of the institution. Therefore, higher education institutions must continuously strive to improve the quality of the services they provide. This research aims to build an empirical model of service quality for educational institutions by looking for variables that influence strengthening service quality based on data and information from sources. This research uses qualitative methods through an interview and observation process with study program staff at the Indonesian Defense University Education Institute in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. In this research, it was found that the dominant variables that influence the quality of teaching staff services are (1) organizational climate, (2) training effectiveness, (3) job satisfaction, (4) professionalism, (5) empowerment of educators, (6) motivational work, and (7) professional commitment. Therefore, improving the quality of educational institutions is important and must be a main concern for institutions.

Abstract

Education requires innovative teachers to improve learning quality, but challenges like limited technology and unsupportive policies persist. A survey in MTs (Islamic junior high schools) in Bogor Regency reveals that many teachers struggle to recognize, generate, promote, and implement innovative ideas. This study offers strategies to enhance teachers’ innovative behavior through strengthening learning organizations, job satisfaction, and IT-based training. A quantitative survey method with path analysis and SITOREM Analysis was used to examine variable relationships and determine strategies for improving teachers’ innovative behavior. Data were collected through questionnaires from 252 certified teachers in private MTs in Bogor Regency, with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis measuring the research variables’ direct and indirect effects. The findings show that Learning Organization, Personality, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment significantly influence teachers’ Innovative Behaviour. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment act as intervening variables in some relationships, except for organizational commitment, which is ineffective as a mediator between personality and innovative behavior. These results emphasize the importance of a supportive work environment and job satisfaction in fostering teacher innovation.

Abstract

Improving teachers' professional competence is the main demand in dealing with curriculum changes and educational technology developments. Biology teachers as part of the implementation of science education are required not only to master the teaching materials, but also to be able to manage innovative and student-centered learning. However, the reality is that there are still many teachers who experience obstacles in implementing experiential learning, both due to limited training and supportive learning media. In addition, conventional training that has been attended by teachers is considered less flexible and ineffective to support in-depth mastery of the material. Therefore, an experiential learning cycle-based training model developed through digital platforms is needed, so that it is able to answer the challenge of developing teachers' professional competencies in a sustainable and flexible manner. The research approach used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) research method. The data collection techniques used in this study are interview techniques and declassification analysis. The analysis method used in this research and development is an analysis that is able to support the achievement of the goals of research and development activities, namely a website-based experiential learning cycle training management model. Based on the results of theoretical studies, regulations, and needs analysis in the field, a website-based experiential learning cycle training model has been developed which is packaged in an application called LearnPress, in order to improve the professional competence of teachers in Indonesia. This model is designed in accordance with the concept of experiential learning and teacher competency strengthening policies. The validation results from the material experts showed that the training content was very good in supporting the mastery of biology material, while the validation from the media expert confirmed the feasibility of the display, navigation, and interactivity of the website as a digital learning medium. Effectiveness tests through various stages of scale show that LearnPress is highly effective and contributes positively to improving teachers' professional competence.

Abstract

In educational institutions, teachers are a core part of the management element. Teachers who are successful in carrying out the main tasks as stated in their job descriptions coupled with the awareness of doing something extra are the keys to organizational success. Extra activities that are not directly related to the applicable formal reward system are called OCB (Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Based on preliminary research, it is known that PGRI Vocational High School (SMK) teachers in Bogor Regency have relatively low OCB. information on variables related to the increase in OCB. The purpose of this study was to make efforts to increase teacher OCB by conducting research on the relationship between the variables of serving leadership, creativity, and empowerment. This study uses correlational statistical analysis methods to determine the relationship between the variables studied and the SITOREM method for indicator analysis in order to obtain optimal solutions in efforts to increase teacher OCB. There is a positive relationship between empowerment and OCB with a correlation coefficient of ry3 = 0.502 so that strengthening empowerment can increase OCB. From the SITOREM analysis, the optimal solution is obtained that of the 27 indicators there are 14 indicators that are good so that they are maintained or developed and there are 13 indicators that are still weak so that they need to be improved.

Abstract

Principals as school leaders are a contributing factor to success in efforts to strengthen governance, accountability, and public image. This success cannot be separated from competence and ability in their duties, roles and functions. Providing excellent service to all school members, optimizing the empowerment and development of school residents, focusing on performance and growth and impact for school progress and for the community, this leadership is called servant leadership. This study aims to produce a model of strengthening service leadership in the form of a constellation model of influence between variables and their mathematical model. From this model, a research hypothesis is derived which will then be tested using path analysis at the quantitative research stage. The research begins by interviewing informants who are considered competent in providing the expected answers. Furthermore, data reduction, data codification, data display, data analysis, and conclusion drawing were carried out. The research was carried out at the Bogor Regency Private Vocational School in the period October to December 2020. From the research conducted, several variables are thought to have positive and dominant influence on service leadership, namely adversity intelligence, proactive personality, teamwork as exogenous variables, organizational commitment, and work motivation as intervening variables.
