Abstract

Principals as school leaders are a contributing factor to success in efforts to strengthen governance, accountability, and public image. This success cannot be separated from competence and ability in their duties, roles and functions. Providing excellent service to all school members, optimizing the empowerment and development of school residents, focusing on performance and growth and impact for school progress and for the community, this leadership is called servant leadership. This study aims to produce a model of strengthening service leadership in the form of a constellation model of influence between variables and their mathematical model. From this model, a research hypothesis is derived which will then be tested using path analysis at the quantitative research stage. The research begins by interviewing informants who are considered competent in providing the expected answers. Furthermore, data reduction, data codification, data display, data analysis, and conclusion drawing were carried out. The research was carried out at the Bogor Regency Private Vocational School in the period October to December 2020. From the research conducted, several variables are thought to have positive and dominant influence on service leadership, namely adversity intelligence, proactive personality, teamwork as exogenous variables, organizational commitment, and work motivation as intervening variables.

The purpose of this study was to make efforts to increase teacher OCB by conducting research on the relationship between the variables of serving leadership, creativity, and empowerment. This study uses correlational statistical analysis methods to determine the relationship between the variables studied and the SITOREM method for indicator analysis in order to obtain optimal solutions in efforts to increase teacher OCB. There is a positive relationship between empowerment and OCB with a correlation coefficient of ry3 = 0.502 so that strengthening empowerment can increase OCB. From the SITOREM analysis, the optimal solution is obtained that of the 27 indicators there are 14 indicators that are good so that they are maintained or developed and there are 13 indicators that are still weak so that they need to be improved.

Abstract

Teacher engagement is a critical factor in ensuring the sustainability and quality of learning outcomes, especially in private vocational schools that face unique challenges in resource management and organizational dynamics. This study aims to propose a holistic strategy to improve teacher engagement through the integration of trust, knowledge management, and organizational culture. Using a mixed-method approach, data were collected from teachers and school administrators in private vocational schools in Bogor Regency. The findings reveal that trust between teachers and management fosters psychological safety and commitment; knowledge management enhances collaboration and continuous learning; while a supportive organizational culture strengthens motivation and professional identity. The interaction of these three dimensions creates a synergistic effect that significantly improves teacher engagement. This study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering a comprehensive framework for educational leaders to design policies and interventions that foster trust, optimize knowledge-sharing practices, and cultivate an inclusive organizational culture. The results highlight that a holistic and integrated strategy is essential to sustain teacher engagement and improve the overall performance of private vocational schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

Low teacher commitment remains a major challenge in educational management, affecting the consistency of instructional quality and institutional stability. This research aimed to formulate a strategy to strengthen teachers’ institutional attachment by integrating local wisdom and organizational support. The study employed the Modeling and Optimization of Management Resource Strengthening (POP-HR) approach combined with SITOREM analysis to identify key variables and prioritize improvement indicators. Data were collected through a multistage random sampling of 120 foundation-based teachers using standardized questionnaires measuring transformational leadership, career development, and local wisdom values of silih asih (mutual care) and silih asuh (mutual guidance). The results of path analysis showed that transformational leadership and career development had significant direct and indirect effects on teacher loyalty, mediated by cultural values. SITOREM findings revealed several weak indicators such as equality, motivation, and training opportunities that require targeted improvement. Strengthening leadership practices, supporting career growth, and internalizing local cultural values were found to be effective strategies to enhance teacher engagement and dedication. The findings provide a framework for developing culturally grounded strategies in education management to strengthen teacher engagement

The residents in the study are all supervisors and principals of vocational schools in Bogor Regency. The sampling technique in this study uses a proportional random sampling technique, which collects data by taking a proportional population to be used as a sample. The formula used to determine the sample uses the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5%. The study's conclusion showed a positive and significant influence of serving leadership, personality, and organizational climate on the effectiveness of principal supervision.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the strategies for improving Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among teachers through strengthening servant leadership, work culture, mutual trust behavior, and job satisfaction. Utilizing a quantitative survey method, the study investigates the direct and indirect influences of these variables on OCB among teachers at private Islamic schools in Sukabumi Regency. The results show a significant direct influence of servant leadership, work culture, mutual trust behavior, and job satisfaction on teachers' OCB. Furthermore, the study reveals that mutual trust behavior and job satisfaction play mediating roles between servant leadership, work culture, and OCB. However, mutual trust behavior is not effective as a mediator between work culture and OCB, indicating that work culture can directly influence OCB without the need for mediation. This research contributes to the understanding of OCB improvement strategies and offers practical solutions for policymakers and educational leaders to enhance teacher performance and overall education quality.

From this research, it was found that there is a positive and significant influence of transformational leadership on teacher organizational commitment with a standard factor loading value of 0.16, work climate on teacher organizational commitment with a standard factor loading value of 0.27, professional attitude towards teacher organizational commitment with a standard factor loading value of 0.50, transformational leadership on professional attitude with a standard factor loading value of 0.33, work climate on professional attitude with a standard factor loading value of 0.52. Meanwhile, the optimal solution obtained is that all indicators need to be improved with the priority order of improvements as follows: having a sense of responsibility, being enthusiastic about learning, pride in the profession, support from superiors, openness among teachers, high tolerance, freedom of expression, exemplary behavior, raising awareness of vision and mission, inspiration, charisma, responsibility, loyalty, seriousness, and the desire to stay in the organization.
