Abstract

Critical thinking skills of each student significantly influence their cognitive development and adaptability. However, many students still exhibit low levels of critical thinking, which requires immediate attention. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the implementation of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by Pop-Up Book media in Grade X Phase Eat SMAN 1 Padang. This research is classroom action research (CAR). The instructional interventions were delivered by the teacher or conducted by students under the teacher's guidance. The teacher reported on students' learning processes, observed student behavior and engagement, analyzed the outcomes, recorded findings, facilitated peer discussions, and guided class presentations. The classroom action research followed a cyclical model consisting of four main stages: action planning (pre-intervention), action implementation, observation, and reflection. This study was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two sessions. Each cycle included the same four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, despite some challenges, the implemented learning model demonstrated visible progress. The class average score increased from 47.19 in the pretest to 77.09 after the first cycle, and further improved to 80 in the second cycle. These results indicate that the Problem-Based Learning model supported by Pop-Up Book media had a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. Overall, the study concludes that the application of Problem-Based Learning supported by Pop-Up Book media effectively enhanced students' academic achievement at SMAN 1 Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan motif mahasiswa laki-laki menggunakan jasa salon waria dalam merawat diri di Kota Padang. Hal ini menarik dikaji karena pengaruh perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi membawa dampak yang begitu luas termasuk dalam perubahan gaya hidup masyarakat yang ada di daerah perkotaan, salah satunya perkembangan jasa perawatan diri terhadap laki-laki dengan mengunjungi jasa-jasa pelayanan perawatan waria di Kota Padang untuk menunjang sebuah penampilan. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teori yang dijelaskan oleh Alfred Schutz dalam tinjauan fenomenologi melihat adanya motif: motif “dalam kerangka untuk” (inner motive) dan “(outter motive)”. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pemilihan informan penelitian menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling dengan kriteria informan waria yang bekerja di salon diantaranya S Salon (Inisial), D Salon (Inisial), L Salon (Inisial), E Salon (Inisial), EG Salon (Inisial), mahasiswa laki-laki pelanggan salon waria sebanyak 12 orang tersebar di semua kampus di Kota Padang, teman sebaya mahasiswa laki-laki pelanggan salon waria dan masyarakat sekitaran lingkungan salon waria di Kota Padang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi partisipasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis interaktif Miles, dan Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan selama berada di lapangan maka dapat peneliti tarik kesimpulan bahwa motif mahasiswa laki-laki menggunakan jasa salon waria dalam merawat diri di Kota Padang ada dua motif. Pertama, inner motive (motif dari dalam); Pelayanan Pijit (Message) Lebih Memuaskan, Menyukai Waria (Sesama Jenis). Kedua, motive outter (motif dari luar); Satu Komunitas Dengan Waria Jasa Salon, Harga Terjangkau, Interaksi yang Positif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of religious instructors in integrating science to build understanding and tolerance in realizing the harmonization of multi-religious communities in Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observations. The results showed that religious educators act as communicators, motivators and role models in educating the community about the importance of tolerance and mutual respect. They also apply a science-based approach in the extension program to improve people's understanding of diversity. The main conclusion of this study is that the integration of science in religious counseling can strengthen interfaith relations and create a harmonious environment in the midst of diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of the concepst of student in class X SMA through the development of student worksheets using an discovery learning model. This research is motivated because of the low concept of student from the material forms of social interactio. So a method is needed to overcome this problem. One of which is by using the discovery learning model. This type of research is research and devolopment. The development model is 4 D. Data collection techniques use research instrumens consisting of validation practicality and effectivenness of. This research was conducted on students of class x SMA Negeri 1 Suliki by obtaining productvalidity result in the high category. The product practicality test was carried out by distributing questionnaires to student by obtaining result in the practical category, the result of the study concluded tha the LKPD discovery learning model is feasible to use and can help improve the understanding of the concept of class x students.

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of public services, productivity, and organizational effectiveness among State Civil Apparatus (ASN), as it supports the effective execution of duties and may extend beyond formally assigned job responsibilities. OCB contributes to the development of a harmonious work environment, strengthens employee engagement, enhances teamwork, and serves as an internal control mechanism that reduces the potential for fraudulent behavior within organizations. Accordingly, this study aims to examine the effects of leadership, work commitment, and discipline on OCB at the Regional Secretariat of Mandailing Natal Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using a path analysis model to assess the relationships between independent variables and the dependent variable. Research were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires administered to employees of the Regional Secretariat of Mandailing Natal Regency. To ensure comprehensive results, a saturated sampling technique was utilized, encompassing the entire population of 83 employees. The results indicate that, simultaneously, the examined variables have a positive and significant effect on OCB; however, partial analysis reveals no significant individual effect on OCB. These findings suggest that other factors may influence the relationships between the independent variables and OCB.

Abstract

In the learning process, interest plays a very important role because it reflects a strong desire and motivation to engage in an activity. Interest influences a person's willingness to learn and actively participate in educational activities. This study aims to examine the application of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model combined with digital comic media in class X Phase E at SMA Negeri 2 Rangsang, focusing on its impact on students' interest and learning outcomes. To increase students' enthusiasm for learning sociology, this classroom action research applies PBL by involving students in the creation of digital comics. The research design used is Participatory Classroom Action Research, where the researcher is actively involved throughout the process, from planning to data collection, analysis, and reporting. This study uses comprehension tests, observation sheets, and interviews to collect data, which is then analyzed descriptively to measure the effectiveness of learning. The results of the study indicate that students' initial interest in learning was below the expected standard. However, the implementation of PBL using digital comic media successfully increased both interest and learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average learning outcome increased by 50%, and in the second cycle, it reached 80%. Additionally, students demonstrated greater engagement and enthusiasm, indicating that the learning process became more enjoyable.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter anak sejak dini merupakan fondasi penting dalam mewujudkan generasi yang sehat secara fisik, mental, dan spiritual. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam strategi pembentukan karakter sehat dan berakhlak mulia melalui pendekatan 7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat sebagai model penguatan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur (library research) dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai sumber pustaka yang relevan, baik berupa buku, jurnal ilmiah, maupun kebijakan pendidikan nasional. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa 7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat dapat menjadi sarana efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kesehatan, kedisiplinan, empati, tanggung jawab, serta akhlak mulia kepada anak-anak. Setiap kebiasaan yang ditanamkan mengandung muatan karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila dan profil pelajar Pancasila dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Dengan penerapan yang konsisten dan kolaboratif antara keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat, strategi ini berpotensi memperkuat pembangunan karakter generasi muda Indonesia secara holistik.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dalam memperkuat ketahanan keluarga melalui sosialisasi pola asuh positif dan manajemen stres. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, sosialisasi, pembentukan kelompok dukungan ibu, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi pre–post test mengukur pengetahuan dalam pola asuh positif dan manajemen stres . Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebelum sosialisasi sebagian besar peserta belum memahami pola asuh positif 78% dan sering mengalami stres dalam pengelolaan keluarga 65%. Setelah mengikuti program, terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta mengenai pola asuh positif capaian 85%. Kemampuan mengelola stres juga meningkat menjadi 72%. Selain itu, terbentuk kelompok dukungan ibu yang dinilai bermanfaat oleh peserta sebagai ruang berbagi pengalaman dan penguatan sosial. Program pemberdayaan ini dapat meningkatkan kapasitas ibu rumah tangga dan berkontribusi pada penguatan ketahanan keluarga di tingkat nagari.

Abstract

Program pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan partisipasi masyarakat Nagari VII Koto Talago dalam mengakses informasi publik secara lebih transparan dan akuntabel. Metode pelaksanaan melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan langsung kepada kelompok masyarakat sebagai upaya memperkuat literasi informasi dan kemampuan advokasi warga. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman masyarakat mengenai hak atas informasi publik, terbentuknya kelompok peduli keterbukaan informasi, serta meningkatnya jumlah permohonan informasi resmi yang diajukan kepada pemerintah nagari. Program ini berkontribusi dalam membangun budaya transparansi di tingkat nagari dan memperkuat hubungan kolaboratif antara masyarakat dan pemerintah

Abstract

The importance of this research is to assess the level of community satisfaction with the education sector in Kampar Kiri Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This research looks at the influence of accessibility, quality of facilities and information technology on public satisfaction in the education sector. The method chosen was quantitative by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to people living in Kampar Kiri Hulu District. The population in this study is the heads of households who have children enrolled in schools and reside in the territorial area of the Kampar Kiri Hulu District. The total population is 3,386 households, and the sample is 357 households. Primary data for this research will be obtained by the researcher through questionnaires from the community that has enrolled their children, while secondary data will be obtained from websites, online journals, literature studies, and related research references. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. The data will be processed using SPSS 0.26. The results of this research are the magnitude of the influence of accessibility on community satisfaction in the education sector 30.8%, the magnitude of the influence of facility quality on community satisfaction in the education sector 32.5%, the magnitude of the influence of information technology on community satisfaction in the education sector 30.6% and the magnitude the influence of accessibility, quality of facilities and information technology together is 47.1%. Judging from the magnitude of this influence, the closer the figure is to 100%, the better the public's satisfaction in education sector. This study is academically interesting because it provides public knowledge about the level of community satisfaction in the education sector, especially in Kampar Kiri Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province.
