Abstract

In the digital era, technology has permeated various aspects of life, including education. One popular implementation is the use of educational games such as Wordwall, which has been proven to enhance students' learning motivation. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Wordwall on students' learning motivation in Indonesia. The research employs content analysis methods on relevant literature collected from various academic sources. The results show that Wordwall increases students' intrinsic motivation from 60% to 85%, extrinsic motivation from 55% to 80%, and interest in lessons from 65% to 90%. This improvement aligns with Social Cognitive Theory and ARCS theory, emphasizing the importance of interactive media and material relevance in boosting learning motivation. These findings are consistent with previous research indicating that technology-based learning media effectively enhances students' learning motivation. Therefore, integrating Wordwall into the curriculum can create a more interactive and effective learning environment and improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The mechanical improvement and "self-protection" properties are mainly needed to develop weather-resistant steel materials. In this study, A588 steel was given thermomechanical treatment (hot-rolling) followed by a quench-tempering process. The A588 is modified by adding 1, 2, and 3 wt% nickel to the primary alloy. Steel is made using a hot rolling process at 750 ℃ for 1 hour with 70% thickness reduction. The sample is heat-treated at 850 ℃ for 1 hour and quenched in water, oil, and open air. The tempering process is conducted at 400 ℃ for 30 minutes. Metallography test is confirmed final microstructural and compared with CCT simulation result. The fast cooling (water and oil quenchant) produces tempered martensite, ferrite, and pearlite, while the air-cooled forms a ferrite-pearlite. The cooling rate significantly affects strength and hardness and the nickel addition on hardness, and both factors have no significant on ductility. The sample owns the highest tensile strength value (~1226 MPa) with 1 %Ni, and the highest ductility value (around 17.1–27.43%) is obtained by air cooling. With 3% Ni, the corrosion rate decreases to 0072 mpy with -432.5 mV for corrosion potential and 0.12µA/cm-2 for current density.

Abstract

Abstrak : Bimbingan dan Konseling merupakan suatu layanan atau fasilitas yang disediakan oleh sekolah yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengembangan kepribadian, sosial, kehidupan, kegiatan belajar dan perencanaan karir dari siswa. Bimbingan Konseling sangat memiliki peran penting dalam proses pembentukan kepribadian siswa baik dalam akademik maupun non akademik. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada bimbingan dan konseling di SMPN 2 Trimurjo yaitu pencatatan pada bimbingan dan konseling yang masih tulis tangan pada buku besar agenda harian, agenda surat, buku tamu dan data skorsing. Sehingga hal tersebut menyebabkan resiko kerusakan dan kehilangan berkas yang sangat tinggi karena masih dalam bentuk fisik. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun sistem informasi bimbingan dan konseling berbasis web pada SMPN 2 Trimurjo dengan menggunakan metode waterfall dan bahasa pemrograman PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) serta database MySQL untuk memecahkan masalah ini. Dalam hal ini penulis menghasilkan sistem yang terdapat menu agenda harian untuk pencatatan poin siswa sehingga dapat membuat laporan pelanggaran siswa secara otomatis. Sistem yang mampu membuat agenda surat sehingga memudahkan guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam membuat surat panggilan orang tua dan surat perjanjian secara otomatis. Dan sistem yang mampu untuk pencatatan dalam buku tamu dan data skorsing. Kata Kunci : Bimbingan, Konseling, PHP, Website. Abstract: Guidance and Counseling is a service or facility provided by a school that aims to improve the personality, social, life, learning activities, and career planning development of students. Counseling has a very important role in the process of forming the personalities of students, both academically and non-academically. The problem that occurs in guidance and counseling at SMPN 2 Trimurjo is the recording of guidance and counseling, which is still handwritten in the diary agenda ledger, mail agenda, guest book, and suspension data. So that this causes a very high risk of damage and loss of files because they are still in physical form. To overcome these obstacles, the purpose of this research is to build a web based guidance and counseling information system at SMPN 2 Trimurjo using the waterfall method and the PHP programming language (Hypertext Preprocessor) and the MySQL database to solve this problem. In this case the author produces a system that has a daily agenda menu for recording student points so that it can generate student violation reports automatically. A system that is capable of making letter agendas to make it easier for guidance and counseling teachers to make parental summonses and agreement letters automatically. And a capable system for recording in the guest book and suspension data. Keywords: Guidance, Counseling, PHP, Website.

Abstract

PKBM Ronaa adalah pusat kegiatan belajar masyarakat atau lembaga pendidikan nonformal yang berlokasi di Jl. Kurma, Ganjarasri, Kecamatan Metro Barat, Kota Metro. Pada saat melakukan penelitian di PKBM RONAA terdapat masalah pada jaringan internet di PKBM RONAA, dikarenakan masih kurangnya keamanan pada jaringan internet yang mana saat ini hanya menggunakan satu password yang sama untuk semua kalangan mengakses internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keamanan jaringan WiFi di PKBM RONAA dengan menggunakan sistem login otomatis berbasis MAC address pada Router Board RB750 Gr3. Sistem ini memungkinkan perangkat yang telah terdaftar untuk mengakses jaringan tanpa autentikasi manual berulang, dengan mengasosiasikan setiap perangkat yang diperbolehkan dengan MAC address uniknya. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). Hasil uji coba menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengendalian akses dan penurunan insiden akses ilegal, serta efisiensi dalam proses login. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan MAC address untuk login otomatis dapat menjadi solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan keamanan jaringan WiFi, terutama di lingkungan pendidikan seperti PKBM RONAA, dan dapat diadopsi oleh institusi lain.

Abstract

In today's technological era, web-based solutions are essential for optimizing the distribution of internship placements. The current manual processes can lead to issues such as placement delays and difficulties in data collection. This research proposes the implementation of a web-based system to streamline the internship program at SMK YP Gajah Mada, focusing on developing an efficient and user-friendly platform. The objective of this research is to build a web-based internship placement and monitoring system at SMK YP Gajah Mada Palembang. The methodology used in this study is Rapid Application Development (RAD), an alternative to traditional system life cycles. The implementation of this system is expected to improve placement processes, enhance data management, and provide a more effective way to monitor and support interns throughout their program. The results of the research indicate that the web-based system significantly reduces placement delays, facilitates data collection, and offers a structured approach to monitoring and managing internship activities.

Abstract

Teacher competency standards are indicators that can be used as a measure of teacher characteristics that are considered professionally competent. Teachers have a very strategic role in efforts to realize national development goals, especially in the field of education. However, the goal of education is to experience a decline in competency standards at the end of each year for certain subjects, especially science / Basic Physics. Therefore, this service aims to motivate educators and students at the secondary school level to raise awareness of the education process through the practice of learning science / Basic Physics using adequate equipment and materials. The proposed form of activity is in the form of teaching and learning in secondary schools throughout the Meranti Islands Regency including SMA, MAN, and MTs, and SMP levels. In addition, this activity also provides guidance on experiments and demonstration tools for science / Basic Physics teachers regarding understanding concepts from simple to complex natural phenomena through simple demonstration media for practical tools. That way, teachers are expected to be motivated and enthusiastic in the learning process with a good and comprehensive understanding of the material. So that it can increase teacher competency standards intensively to be more qualified and professional.

Abstract

Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is an optical sensor component that has better performance than other optical and electronic components. FBG has a very high sensitivity to changes in temperature and strain, is small in size, and is resistant to electromagnetic wave interference and multiplexing. In this study, FBG is used to monitor the fluid flow rate in a pipe by analyzing changes in the output power generated by the FBG. This research was designed by varying the pipe diameter, measurement position, and fluid flow rate. The diameters of the pipes used are 5.95, 7.01, 8.79, and 10.32 mm. The fluid flow rate that passes through each pipe is also varied. The measuring position is placed at 1/3 2/3, and 3/3 pipe diameter. The fluid flow rate and the output power generated by this FBG are measured using an anemometer and optical power meter respectively. The FBG used in this study has a center wavelength of 1310 nm and 1550 nm. In this study, the value of power generated from pipe 1 of position 1 FBG with a wavelength of 1550 nm is 15.1 dBm, while at a wavelength of 1310 nm is -26.23 dBm which indicates that the power generated from FBG with a wavelength of 1310 is the biggest. The speeds obtained at pipe position 1 from the anemometer measurements are 0.79, 1, 1.82, and 2.22 m/s which are directly proportional to the power generated at the 1550 wavelength FBG, -15.1, -15.12, -15.47, and -15.43 dBm, respectively. So it can be concluded that the greater the speed generated by the fluid flow, the greater the power generated.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether Time Pressure has a significant effect on Premature Sign off of Audit Procedures at Syamsul Bahri TRB Public Accounting Firm, knowing whether Supervision have a significant effect on Premature Sign off of Audit Procedures at Syamsul Bahri TRB Public Accounting Firm and find out whether time pressure and supervision has a significant effect on premature sign off of audit procedures at Syamsul Bahri TRB Public Accounting Firm. The research methodology used is descriptive quantitative method. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data, namely data obtained in the form of numbers or numbers. Data sources are primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from questionnaires while secondary data is obtained from theories and journals related to the variables under study. The population in this study was the auditor of Syamsul Bahri's Accounting Office, which amounted to 37 auditors. By using census samples, the number of samples obtained is 37 auditors. The results of the analysis showed that Time Pressure had a significant effect on Premature Sign off of the audit procedures at Syamsul Bahri TRB Public Accounting Firm based on the results of partial hypothesis testing, namely tcount (5,854) <t table (2,03224). The results of the analysis show that Supervision have a significant effect on Premature Sign off of the Audit Procedures at the Syamsul Bahri TRB Public Accounting Firm based on the results of the partial hypothesis test, namely tcount (3.773)> t table (2.03224). The results showed that time pressure and supervision had a significant effect on Premature Sign off of the audit procedures at Syamsul Bahri TRB Public Accounting Firm based on the results of simultaneous hypothesis testing, which was equal to Fcount (25,569)> (Ftable) = (3,28). The results of this study are supported by the value of R square (R2) = 0.601 or 60.1% which means that Time Pressure and Supervision simultaneously have an effect of 39.9% on Premature Sign off of Audit Procedures. While the remaining 59.1% is influenced by other variables not examined, such as materiality, Locus of Control, Risk Audit, Review Procedure, ethical awareness and others.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving student creativity in secondary schools. Student creativity includes four main aspects, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two groups of students: an experimental group using the PjBL method and a control group using conventional learning methods. Data were collected through observation, creativity tests, and student learning motivation questionnaires. The results showed that the implementation of PjBL had a significant effect on increasing student creativity. Students in the experimental group showed higher creativity scores than the control group, with the most striking increase in the aspects of originality and elaboration. In addition, the PjBL model also increased student learning motivation as well as collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The integration of technology in PjBL, such as the use of digital devices and online resources, had a positive impact on students' learning experiences. However, this study also found several obstacles in the implementation of PjBL, such as the need for teacher training, time management, and infrastructure support. Therefore, a comprehensive strategy is needed to optimize the implementation of PjBL in secondary schools. Overall, the project-based learning model has proven to be effective in enhancing student creativity and is relevant to the demands of 21st century education.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenghijauan adalah salah satu kegiatan penting yang perlu dilakukan secara terstruktur dalam menangani krisis lingkungan. Kampung Sukajadi merupakan salah satu Kampung mempunyai banyak lahan pertanian dan persawahan. Namun masih terdapat beberapa lahan-lahan yang masih kosong dan belum dimanfaatkan. Dalam Upaya pelestarian lingkungan, mahasiswa KKN bersama Aparatur Kampung setempat telah melakukan kegiatan penghijauan. Kegiatan bertujuan untuk mengisi lahan-lahan kosong baik di sepanjang sisi jalan maupun pada salah satu lahan milik Kampung yang masih kosong. Kegiatan penghijauan bertujuan untuk pelestarian lingkungan serta mendapat manfaat ekonomi.ABSTRACK  Greening is one of the important activities that needs to be done in a structured way in dealing with environmental crises. The village of Sukajadi is one of the villages that has many farmland and suburbs. But there are still some land that is empty and unused. In an effort to preserve the environment, KKN students together with local village appliances have undertaken greening activities. The activity is aimed at filling the empty land either along the side of the road or on one of the land belonging to the village that is still vacant. Greening activities are aimed at environmental conservation as well as economic benefits.
