Abstract

This research investigated the feasibility and efficacy of power over fiber (PoF) transmission systems for geotechnical monitoring applications, addressing challenges associated with traditional power transmission methods. Leveraging fiber optic technology, PoF systems offer advantages such as high reliability, minimal signal loss, and immunity to environmental factors. The study presents a detailed design and implementation of a PoF transmission system, integrating a high-power laser source (HPLS) and photovoltaic technology for efficient power transmission over extended distances. Results demonstrate impressive volt-ampere characteristics and conversion efficiencies, with the optimized system configuration achieving a peak power output of 682 mW. Furthermore, the study evaluated the performance of a surface inclinometer sensor powered by the PoF system, showcasing its effectiveness in monitoring soil movements with remarkable stability and consistent power supply. Future research directions include scalability studies, optimization of system efficiency, and field deployments to broaden the applicability of PoF technology in geotechnical monitoring, ultimately advancing disaster mitigation and infrastructure resilience efforts.

Abstract

In this paper presents a numerical simulation using the finite element method (FEM) to analyze the performance of a photonic crystal fiber (PCF) integrated with plasmonic material sensor components. The sensor comprises silica and Au layers with a thickness of 45 nm, arranged in a simple geometric structure. Our proposed sensor component exhibits ultra-low loss, distinguishing it from previous studies that have focused on wavelength-sensitive (WS) and amplitude-sensitive (AS) measurement techniques. The refractive index (RI) range of the sensor component spans from 1.32 to 1.38 RIU. The maximum WS and AS values achieved are 6,000 nm/RIU, -373.4 1/RIU (x-polarization), and -385.4 1/RIU (y-polarization), respectively. Moreover, we demonstrate an ultra-low loss of 0.00117 dB/cm (x-polarized) and 0.00307 dB/cm (ypolarized). In terms of sensor resolution, this design achieves a remarkable resolution of 1.6×10-7 RIU for both x-and y-polarized measurements

Abstract

Online learning serves as a lesson between educators and students by using an internet network that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Of course, the online method has a good level of effectiveness if it can be implemented optimally but also vice versa if there are still many obstacles in the implementation poses, it will also cause several problems whose consequences will have an impact or be felt by educators and students in the school. This time the author will conduct a study carried out at Sribasuki State Elementary School 1, Kalirejo District, Central Lampung Regency about the implementation of online learning at the school. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of effectiveness of online learning at the elementary school level. The method collected in data collection is a question and answer (interview) to the resource persons, namely several students, parents of students, and educators (teachers) directly or via WhatsApp. The results of the study showed various opinions from students, parents, and educators (teachers). From these various opinions, it can be concluded that the online method is very helpful in the learning process and it is considered that the method is quite appropriate to be chosen during the current Covid-19 Pandemic, but on the other hand, the level of effectiveness is still assessed below the learning carried out face-to-face. Therefore, some students, parents, and educators (teachers) really hope that the learning process can be carried out face-to-face as soon as possible.

Abstract

This research aims to measure students' level of analytical thinking in the Natural Sciences learning process about magnetism through the POE (Predict Observe Explain) learning model with the help of a magnetic KIT (Integrated Instrument Box). The research method applied is quantitative through a Quasi Experimental design. Research instruments include interviews, questionnaires, and posttests. The research subjects were control class IX.4 which participated in the conventional learning group and experimental group IX.5 which implemented a POE model with magnetic KIT media at MTs Hasanah Pekanbaru. Data was collected through a posttest of analytical thinking skills and analyzed using descriptive analysis and the Independent Sample T test. The analysis obtained shows a significant variation in average values in the experimental and control groups, in the POE group achieving a higher level of analytical thinking (67.16%) than the conventional class (55.16%). This shows the effectiveness of POE learning with the help of magnetic KIT in improving students' analytical thinking skills regarding the context of magnetic material.

Abstract

This paper seeks to build a paradigm of social science approach that is relevant to Islam in the modern era. Modernization in Indonesia is currently towards the 5.0 era, which in the author's opinion is still essentially debatable. Meanwhile, the dialogue referred in this paper is an offer thats enable accepted by Muslim and non-Islamic communities. According to Ali Hassan Zaidi, dialogue has the universal quality, which can be used to appreciate each other even though distance separates both of them. In the first part, the author tries to explain the problems of modernity, as well as its influence on humans in general, and specifically on Islamic society. The second part, seeking the common ground between these problems with the theory of dialogue developed by Ali Hassan Zaidi. This type of research is qualitative-descriptive research using data collection methods, namely library research. By explaning these two problems, the author hopes to build a clear and more relevant paradigm. It is strengthened by the analysis of the sociological theory of dialogue developed by Ali Hassan Zaidi. Then with the conclusion that humanitarian dialogue is a solution to solve the social problems of Islamic society.

Abstract

Aplikasi canva merupakan aplikasi online yang mempunyai ragam tamplate serta fitur-fitur yang ada untuk membantu guru dan siswa sekolah dasar dalam melakukan pembelajaran yang bebabsis teknologi, keterampilan, kreativitas dan manfaat lainnya. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru SD dalam menggunakan aplikasi canva sebagai media pembelajaran kreatif. Fokus utama adalah memahami berbagai fitur canva, membuat materi pembelajaran yang menarik dan mengintegrasikan teknologi secara efektif dalam proses pengajaran. Metode pelatihan melibatkan sesi teori demonstrasi praktis, dan Latihan langsung menggunakan aplikasi canva, mulai dari desain grafis hingga pembuatan materi ajar yang interktif. Pelatihan ini menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan guru SD dalam menggunakan canva sebagai alat bantu belajar.

Abstract

BUMDesa Manunggal Jaya, Nunggal Rejo Village is a business entity managed by Nunggal Rejo village officials, Punggur District, Central Lampung Regency. BUMDesa was formed in order to improve the economy of the villagers. One of the efforts made is to help sell and introduce products belonging to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the village. From the results of interviews with the chairman of BUMDesa Manunggal Jaya Desa Nunggal Rejo, BUMDesa currently has outlets for MSME products but because they are not in the center of the crowd, when outside working hours or on holidays, the outlets are empty of visitors. Based on this, the community service team worked closely with BUMDesa officials to create training activities to optimize their social media and Google Business Profiles to help BUMDesa sell and introduce Nunggal Rejo village MSME products online. The method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR). The service team explores the problems that occur, carries out outreach activities, designs the expected target results, carries out the planned activities and evaluates the success of the activities. The results of the activity are increasing partner capabilities in terms of creating content and compiling copywriting for sales and introducing products on social media and Google Business Profiles. The results of this activity are increasing turnover for partners, increasing people's understanding and skills in digital marketing and being able to create a website with a Google site. Abstrak BUMDesa Manunggal Jaya, Desa Nunggal Rejo adalah badan usaha yang dikelola oleh aparat Desa Nunggal Rejo, Kecamatan Punggur, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. BUMDesa dibentuk dalam rangka meningkatkan perekonomian warga desa. Salah satu usaha yang dilakukan adalah dengan membantu penjualan dan memperkenalkan produk milik usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) yang ada di desa tersebut. Dari hasil wawancara dengan ketua BUMDesa Manunggal Jaya Desa Nunggal Rejo, saat ini BUMDesa telah memiliki gerai produk UMKM namun karena letaknya bukan di pusat keramaian, saat di luar jam kerja atau hari libur, gerai tersebut sepi pengunjung. Berdasarkan hal tersebut tim pengabdian masyarakat bekerja sama dengan perangkat BUMDesa membuat kegiatan pelatihan untuk mengoptimasi media sosial dan Google Profil Bisnis yang dimiliki guna membantu BUMDesa menjual dan memperkenalkan produk UMKM Desa Nunggal Rejo secara online. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu Participatory Action Research (PAR). Tim pengabdian menggali masalah yang terjadi, melaksanakan sosialisasi kegiatan, merancang target hasil yang diharapkan, melaksanakan kegiatan yang direncanakan dan mengevaluasi keberhasilan kegiatan. Hasil dari kegiatan yaitu peningkatan kemampuan mitra dalam hal membuat konten dan menyusun copywriting untuk penjualan dan memperkenalkan produk di media sosial dan Google Profil Bisnis. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan omset pada mitra, peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pemasaran digital serta mampu membuat website dengan google site. Abstract

Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro Lampung memiliki dua prodi yaitu prodi Ilmu Komputer dan prodi Sistem Informasi. Setiap mahasiswa yang akan melakukan dan memulai penulisan skripsi untuk mahasiswa strata satu maupun tugas akahir untuk mahasiswa diploma tiga, mahasiswa diwajibkan telah memenuhi ketentuan dan persyaratan penulisan skripsi maupun tugas akhir. Dalam menyelesaikan skripsi dan tugas akhir, mahasiswa akan didampingi oleh dua dosen pembimbing. Dosen pembimbing memiliki tanggung jawab akademik terhadap skripsi dan tugas akhir yang dihasilkan oleh mahasiswa bimbingannya, kebenaran ilmiah dan teknik penulisan selama melakukan proses bimbingan. Proses bimbingan skripsi maupun tugas akhir tidak akan berjalan baik jika waktu ketika dosen dan mahasiswa memiliki kesibukan masing-masing yang akan menimbulkan kendala dalam waktu bimbingan. Kendala seperti ini dapat membuat masalah yang ada dalam menjalankan tugas menulis skripsi maupun tugas akhir tidak dapat dipecahkan secepatnya. Untuk menghindari kemampuan dalam memecahkan masalah (problem solving), maka dalam penelitian ini dirancang suatu sistem informasi bimbingan skripsi maupun tugas akhir berbasis web pada Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro Lampung. Hasil dari perancangan sistem informasi bimbingan skripsi maupun tugas akhir berbasis web ini adalah web yang diberi nama Unit Layanan Skripsi dan Tugas Akhir Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro Lampung

Abstract

Distributing and marketing Starbuck coffee is a very important part of the company PT Vision Logistik Transindo in increasing a profit. Starbuck is a company originating from the United States headquartered in Seattle, Washington, and already has the world's largest coffee shop with 20,336 stores in 61 countries, including Indonesia. In distribution management it is very necessary to determine the Starbuck coffee needed, so that customer demand can be fulfilled. This study conducted data on Starbucks coffee distribution from 2017 to 2019. The data processing in this case uses the Monte Carlo algorithm to predict the distribution of Starbuck coffee. In accelerating data processing, this study applies a Web-based program with the PHP programming language (Hypertext Processor). The result of the test is to get the predicted results of Starbuck coffee with an accuracy level of 90%. So that the results obtained can help the company PT.Vision Logistik Transindo in increasing distribution in the coming year.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMengukur struktur habitat terumbu karang secara 3 dimensi (3D) merupakan hal yang penting yang digunakan untuk aspek pemantauan terumbu karang, karena arsitektur habitat mempengaruhi kelimpahan dan keanekaragamn terumbu organisme. Produksi 3D memungkinkan pengamatan karang dari sisi dan bidang. Peneliti menggunakan metode foto bawah air 3D untuk melihat bahwa metode tersebut sangat efisien untuk menghitung volume dan berat terumbu karang yang ada di Pulau Gili Labak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui volume dan berat terumbu karang menggunakan foto grameteri bawah air 3 dimensi di Pulau Gili Labak, Kabupaten Sumenep. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu alat selam, frame 50x50 cm, kamera Olympus TG 6, GPS, Software Agisoft, dan terumbu karang. Hasil rata-yang didapat dari perhitungan volume menggunakan persamaan y = 0,4835x + 103,34 adalah 592,86 cm3 sedangkan hasil rata-rata yang didapat dari perhitungan berat menggunakan persamaan y = 2,4512x0,898 adalah 1194,59 gram.Kata Kunci: Estimasi, 3 Dimensi, Volume, BeratABSTRACTMeasuring the structure of coral reef habitats in 3 dimensions (3D) is an important aspect of coral reef monitoring, because habitat architecture influences the abundance and diversity of reef organisms. 3D production allows viewing of corals from sides and planes. Researchers used the 3D underwater photography method to see that this method was very efficient for calculating the volume and weight of coral reefs on Gili Labak Island. The aim of this research is to determine the volume and weight of coral reefs using 3-dimensional underwater gramometry photographs on Gili Labak Island, Sumenep Regency. The tools used in this research were diving equipment, 50x50 cm frame, Olympus TG 6 camera, GPS, Agisoft software, and coral reefs. The average result obtained from volume calculations using the equation y = 0.4835x + 103.34 is 592.86 cm3, while the average result obtained from weight calculations using the equation y = 2.4512x0.898 is 1194.59 grams.Keywords: Estimation, 3 Dimensions, Volume, Weight
