Abstract

Purpose: This research was conducted in the border area in Sajingan Besar District, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, by focusing on the realization of the infrastructure aspect as the driving force of the development of the Indonesia-Malaysia cross border tourism destination. Research methods: The data of the research comes from observations, unstructured interviews, and literature studies. The research method used is qualitative descriptive methods. Findings: The research shows that the Aruk border area has completed both stages: (i) Priority Core Zone (office and service zone, trade and service zone) san (ii) Support Zone (infrastructure such as rest areas, money changers, tourism markets, places of worship, Indonesian guesthouse). Implication: The project needs fulfilment of strong basics such as infrastructure and accommodation, as well as being integrated with each other in building and advancing border areas to become world-class destinations, namely cross border tourism.

Abstract

Abstract : Purpose: This research aims to analyze the CHSE (cleanliness, health, safety, and environment) program in a hotel so that the level of the hotel room occupancy can be increased especially due to Covid-19 pandemic. Research methods: This is a qualitative research. The data collection method is literature study which is obtained from the Human Resources Department of Tijili Benoa Curated Artotel, Bali, Indonesia. Findings: Tijili Benoa Curated Artotel is still using WHO guidelines where the CHSE program is not fully complete according to the regulations of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Currently what has been done by Tijili Benoa Curated Artotel is the guidelines taken from the WHO decision. Implications: The program can be developed in accordance with the latest Kemenparekraf (Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif) guidelines so that the hotel can be certified CHSE and can develop future strategies in increasing room occupancy.

Abstract

Abstract : Purpose: This research is to analyze the application of digital marketing of Balinese culinary tourism in Denpasar City, Indonesia, based on Geographic Information System. Research methods: The data collection is collected by examining and/or exploring several journals, books, and documents as well as sources of data and or other information deemed relevant to the research. Findings: The outcome of this research is a digital marketing system design of Balinese culinary tourism in Denpasar City based on the Geographic Information System. The design is to improve the marketing of Balinese culinary tourism in the city. Implications: The digital marketing model can make the users (tourists/excursionists) easier to search in mapping the location of restaurants or culinary tourism in Denpasar City quickly and precisely and can be accessed by anyone, anytime, and anywhere.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out the extent of the Balinese cultural values implemented to the products and facilities to increase guest satisfaction and the influence of the implementation of Balinese cultural values to products and facilities to increase guest satisfaction in Ayodya Resort Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: Data were collected using distributed questionnaires to the 65 of in-house guests of Ayodya Resort Bali, then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Findings: The Balinese cultural values to products and facilities at Ayodya Resort Bali is well implemented to increase guest satisfaction. The result of multiple regression analysis shows that the implementation of Balinese cultural values to products and facilities simultaneously and partially influences positively to increase guest satisfaction in Ayodya Resort Bali. Implications: This research is expected to be useful as an evaluation and consideration in maintaining and improving the implementation of Balinese cultural values to products and facilities in Ayodya Resort Bali.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the implementation of sustainable tourism based on environmental management accounting in tourism villages in Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: This research method is qualitative which data collection techniques were done through documentation studies. This method was chosen to gain a deep understanding of the implementation of sustainable tourism based on environmental management accounting in tourism villages in Bali. Findings: The participation of tourism actors in implementing sustainable tourism based on environmental management accounting in tourism villages in Bali is still not maximized. Implications: The process of community empowerment to open accommodation services in the form of homestays that use the principles of green tourism, local transportation services, the availability of craft and art communities, and local guides is still very rare.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out the best practice and the factors influence the best practice of Sangkan Gunung rural tourism operator in Karangasem Regency, Bali. The research method employed was structured observation, documents analysis and in depth interview. The findings reveal that, green initiatives help to cut down the running cost and Sangkan Gunung rural tourism adopts the best practice that suit its operation and environment. The Pilot project in Sangkan Gunung rural tourism proposes to regard sustainability issues in the context of rural tourism product quality, integrating sustainability aspects into a running and well recognized rural tourism quality scheme. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the reservation contribution of online and offline travel agent on room sales volume and the implication of the contribution towards New Kuta Hotel, Pecatu, Bali. Research methods: Analytical techniques of this study are classical assumption tests, multiple correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, multiple determination analysis, and hypothesis tests (t-test and F-test) which are tested using SPSS program. Results and discussion: There are positive and significant contributions between Online Travel Agents and Offline Travel Agent to Room Sales Volume. Analysis of multiple determination test shows independent variables simultaneously contribute 99.4% to room sales volume, while 0.06% is influenced by other factors such as walk-in guest, MICE guest, and reservation through telephone. Conclusion: The ups and downs of the contribution of reservations through online and offline travel agents on the sales volume of New Kuta Hotel in the form of ups and downs hotel revenue, employee service charge and management opportunities to renovate the facilities of New Kuta Hotel, Pecatu, Bali.

Abstract

Purpose: This research is to analyze the three-cluster policy in international, national, and local policy on corporate social responsibility (CSR) implementation at InterContinental Bali Resort.Research methods: The research method used is descriptive qualitative with juridical-normative analysis techniques.Results and discussion: The CSR implementation is related to three-cluster regulation analysis, as follows: do small things with great love, embrace the joy of giving, give a little, safe a life!, green living!, and IHG earth week. The implementation of CSR has an impact on the sustainability of the company.Conclusion: A company in carrying out its activities are not only on more financial factors such as profits or dividends but be based on social and environmental responsibility for the present and long term.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of marketing communication in building brand image, to find out the marketing communication strategy that should be used by marketing communication departments in building brand image. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis, Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) Matrix, External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) Matrix, Internal-External Matrix (IE), and SWOT Analysis. The results showed that there were internal and external factors that influence marketing communication conducted by the marketing communication department at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Based on the results of IFAS matrix analysis, the main strengths are good relations with all partners, the media, influencers, guests and also the community, while the main weaknesses are responding to complaints and providing solutions to trip advisor reviews, OTA reviews and also social media. Based on the results of the EFAS matrix analysis, it is known that the main opportunity is technological development while the minor threats faced are The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali position in the competition and natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, etc. The results of the IE matrix research showed the company position in the Growth (Cell V). SWOT analysis produces 6 alternative marketing communication strategies that can be used in building brand image.

Abstract

It is important to always develop a career for all employees for a company including hotel companies, because employees are one of the assets used by companies to achieve corporate goals that have been set previously. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of key performance indicators applicant to the career development. The ONE Legian is a research location with 55 respondents. Data collection methods used were questionnaires and observations. Data processing techniques that is the test of validity and reliability, and data analysis techniques, namely simple regression and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the implementation of key performance indicators have a significant positive effect on career development. From the results of t test obtained t-count value 6.590> t-table 1.674 with probability 0.000. Because the probability value is much less than 0.05, therefore the key performance indicator variable partially has significant positive effect on career development at The ONE Legian
